Looked Good but when I fired it off It wont repeat at 16 yards. tried different weight pellets. no good all over the target by 3 to 4inch. 130 pellets later I want my money BACK.
Things I would have changed:Quit making this SHORTIE.
What others should know:Don't by this gun waste of money. For the price its bad .

The LOOK ... just one look and I wanted to so love this gun, especially since having just purchased (and loving!) the Hatsan Hercules Bully in .357 ... what a beautiful 'matched set pair' the 2 would make, I thought. On unboxing the Sortie, I got a sick feeling as soon as I saw and touched one of the cheap plastic spring-loaded magazines, as I had seen the same ones on the Hatsan Bullmaster, which I had also previously purchased, but arrived damaged in shipment to me.THESE MAGAZINES DO NOT LOAD OR FUNCTION PROPERLY ! I loaded 1 mag into the Sortie, with difficulty, then fired 3 shots, followed by a complete jam, resulting in inability to fire, move charging lever, or remove the magazine. UNFORTUNATELY, THE LOOK IS THE ONLY FEATURE OF THIS GUN I LIKED. I have no clue as to the accuracy, as I had no chance to test it.
Things I would have changed:I realize that some energy has to come from 'somewhere' in order for proper semi-automatic functioning in any gun ... the system that Hatsan is using in the Bullmaster and Sortie is totally flawed and needs complete re-thinking. CHEAP/PLASTIC/SPRING-LOADED DOES NOT WORK. The system of the side-lever repeater used in the Hercules Bully DOES WORK ... METAL/LOCKING IN-PLACE. No, it's not semi-automatic, but Hatsan DOESN'T MAKE A SEMI-AUTO THAT WORKS. And with the Sortie costing ~$500, they have to be kidding!!!
What others should know:Who would want to buy 'just another backyard plinker', in low caliber, that doesn't function well, or at-ALL, FOR $500 ???? Not me. I returned that thang for full refund ASAP, and would recommend all serious airgunners to avoid even THINKING about buying one of these ..... you just have to close your eyes and FORGET ABOUT HOW COOL IT LOOKS, AND NOT BUY IT! Hatsan was not the only ones to disappoint me regarding a handgun. I also purchased a Weihrauch HW45 , a very highly-rated spring piston design, also costing ~$500, and found it to be a very weak and expensive (but good looking) backyard plinker, as well. I also promptly returned it, AS I AM DONE WITH BACKYARD PLINKERS ... I HAVE A WHOLE CLOSET FULL OF THEM! All these attempts at finding a good looking, powerful, semi-auto, PCP or spring piston, and reliable handgun, to possibly consider for personal defense resulted in THIS: I finally just went ahead and purchased a nice 1911 .45 cal. TO DATE, NO AIRGUNS CAN COMPARE TO THIS CLASSIC

The Sortie is light weight and powerful. its accurate for me out to 30 yards. The new folding stock really helps with accuracy.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see Hatsan design a better magazine system for all their semi auto pcps.
What others should know:Get the .25 cal. Expect about 20 good shots per fill. Iron sights work well but I would recommend upgrading to a scope.

I like the looks, feel and accuracy. I get 30 shots on each fill. I zeroed this pistol in 6 shots, at 35 feet. The FPS is better than advertised. The semi automatic is awesome.
Things I would have changed:I can't think of any changes I would change.
What others should know:You may want to oil the cocking device prior to shooting. Mine was a bit stiff, but after oil and about 90 shots it works fine.

If it worked it would be cool as it looks.
Things I would have changed:Fit and finish are poor with burrs all over it. The mags are not working we had to loosen the screws.
What others should know:It does not recycle bolt far enough to let the next pellet move to the chamber. It needs to be worked on to make it a semi auto.
