Things I liked:

Ok,I received my .22 proxima very quickly. Threw on a 6-24x50 scope. Shot 10 rounds. Wow!!! On the money every time. Now I'm wailing on squirrels, rabbit with easy. Head shot at 30 to 40 yards! Only gun shot this good was my m16 in Irac! Love the 12 shot mag.! Just remember, when you cock it,pull it down just a little more until you hear a click, then grab the bear trap and slap the cocking bar back up. Easy! This gun is easy worth 800 bucks, grab one while you can!

Things I liked:

Beautiful looking gun. But was not able to shoot it once.

Things I would have changed:

The bear trap release system needs to be replaced or redesigned. Is nothing but trouble.

What others should know:

The bear trap release system is a problem. It would not release the cocking lever and could not use the rifle. Returned and am looking for a different gun. nice.

    Things I liked:

Underlever, multi-shot, Turkish Walnut stock (outstanding), matte finish on the wood & steel. An amazing rifle from the very first shot. Excellent open-sights. With 7.9gr CPHP, the first 42 shots averaged 900fps, 14.8fpe out of the box with a variance of 94 (and surprisingly, no dieseling even though the rifle seems very well lubricated). 200+ shots later, a 28 shot string averaged 921fps, 15fpe with variance of 24. Settling in very nicely - extremely accurate out to 75 yards, even with significant wind. The magazines work flawlessly and are easy to load (pay attention when loading them). It came with 2 magazines, and I ordered 2 extra. I have a UTG 4-16x40mmAO on it with a lockdown dovetail mount that's working out very nicely.

    Things I would have changed:

Included sling belongs on a Red Ryder....wouldn't trust it for much else.

    What others should know:

This is a heavy rifle. Close to 12lbs with scope/mount and a good sling. It's a short-stroke underlever, so again, it takes all of 40-45+ lbs of cocking effort. I'm 57, 6'3", 230lbs and this rifle feels like it's made for me, but I can see where someone of smaller stature/strength could have a difficult time. Like I said, it feels like it was made for me, and I plan on having/using it a long, long time. I'm hitting shotgun shells at 50-75yrds regularly, and at 25 yds, it feels like I can't miss... I wanted a rifle that was a significant "step-up" from the bargain springers I have in my collection, and this checked all the boxes in terms of things I wanted and performance is even better than expected.

    Things I liked:

I just bought this in January 2021. This is a big heavy man sized rifle, don't buy it if you are small or weak. You better have stocked up on your testosterone pills. It takes a lot of strength to cock the under lever, which is not a problem for me, but don't get this rifle if you don't have good upper body strength. It is a beautiful rifle. The stock is gorgeous. The fit and finish is excellent. Mine is the .177 version and it is accurate as hell. It is also powerful. It is full of great features. It has a big game rifle feel to it. The multishot magazine worked great for me. The trigger is excellent. Beware: This is an air rifle that requires you to PAY ATTENTION to what you are doing. There are lots of features that require attention to detail. Love it!

    Things I would have changed:

The sling is too garish for a such a beautiful rifle. They should have a better sling, but that is a minor point. This rifle is HEAVY. Which maybe is why it is so accurate. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing but it is what it is. I cannot imagine shouldering this for any length of time on a hunt. You might as well be carrying a BAR. To me it is strictly a bench rest target rifle. Which is ok, that is why I bought it. It is a little loud but not too bad. I shoot it in my backyard. I REALLY wish it came with a moderator, as far as I can tell it seems like it is impossible to modify it for one.

    What others should know:

Buy some extra magazines, you will be shooting it a lot.

Es Un Rifle Muy Preciso a Menos de 30 Mts Con H&N Field Target Trophy (Cal .25 en mi caso).

    Things I would have changed:

Muy Pesado, Bajarle 1 Lb... Y Precio Muy Alto.

    What others should know:

Es Pesado 8 Lbs Mas La Mira Telescopica... y La Palanca es dura, Pero es normal por ser de barril fijo.

    Things I liked:

I want to rate this well. The stock is a nice solid wood. Nice and heavy and feels great. But the gun doesn't fire.

    Things I would have changed:

Customer service sucks. I returned the gun the day after I got it because the gun won't fire. Pyramid Air never even notified me that they received the gun, I had to verify it through FedEx. I have contacted PA several times over the last 4 weeks that they have had it and I have been waiting either for a replacement, a repair or my money back and I can't get them to say anything other than they are too busy. I want the gun but at this point I just want my money back and I will do my business elsewhere. It's too bad.

    What others should know:

If you need any kind of customer service go to another outlet as the customer service at Pyramid Air is non-existent. I really hate giving a review like this as I like their selection but they really don't care about the customer after the sale.

    Things I liked:

the only thing i like is the gun looks good. the clips are horrible they are hard to load and they don't rotate to the next round all the time so the gun ends up dry firing. also some reviews say this gun is not load, its the loudest air rifle i ever fired definitely not backyard friendly. over all very disappointed in the purchase and was a waste of money.

    Things I liked:

Bought it for the looks and the .25 caliber option. Looks really nice. Stock is cool. Sights are very good. Plenty of power. Came in in very good condition. I really wish I bought something else though.

    Things I would have changed:

I would change the loading-unloading mechanism somehow. Still unsure the best way to have it de-cocked when your done shooting. If you don't keep up with the ammo count and you cock the gun to shoot again if the magazine is empty the cocking lever won't close and the gun is still cocked with the lever stuck out away from the gun. Someone said to put a single pellet in the mag and shoot it. It works, but I think this design is dumb.

    What others should know:

Same as above. Also, I'm a big man and I still think the gun is very heavy and also front heavy. The cocking force is very hard with a somewhat short lever. If you don't totally follow through with the cocking lever it will lock up. It's not defect just wasn't cocked fully until the click is heard. Warning- When the lever was stuck I had my finger on the side release lever and I pushed the cocking arm again and it came disengaged and it swung up and struck my thumb knuckle very fast and very hard.... There is a lot of steps to be able to shoot. (positioning the gun for easiest cocking takes a few) So no quick follow up shots. Hunting is not in season yet but should be a decent small game hunting rifle, has plenty of power. Mine is the .25 cal. option. Comes with a Hatsan sling and your probably going to need it if walking around with it. Final thoughts, If you can live with the negatives and use it for hunting it is a good gun. If you want to just target shoot or plinking keep looking

    Things I liked:

Very nice metal on this gun, love the multi-shot magazine. It fits nice and does not wobble around like the Hatsan Flashpup QE. Its not as heavy as the mod 135s, and easier to cock. The one I got seems to average 745 FPS using JSB 18.1, so Im pleased with that. I like the mechanics of the mag loader, it is clean and smooth, not like that goofy Gamo multi-shot crappy rifle. I got mine from Hatsan Refurbished for $239 so Im also pleased with the price I paid.

    Things I would have changed:

Ok, the stock is not as well made as previous models like the mod 95, mod 135s. Those stock feels more solid, but this rifle is lighter, probably because the stock is not as solid.

    What others should know:

The full retail price of $399 is bull crap, maybe $299 at the most! There are PCPs out there that can be had for about the same price or less than $399. So buy this as refurb! Dont buy for more than $250!

    Things I liked:

The Turkish walnut stock is beautiful and comfortable. Mine is in 25 caliber and being able to shoot 10 shots without reloading is a nice change of pace. The mag can be a bit tricky to load at first but gets easier after you have loaded it several times. The magazines worked flawlessly. The firing cycle is smooth for a gun of this power level. I'm usually not a fan of fiber optic sights but these work pretty well and allow the gun to be accurate at longer range. The stock pistol grip feels good in the hand and allows a good, solid grip.

    Things I would have changed:

I would add checkering or stippling in strategic areas, the smooth stock can be slippery.

    What others should know:

This gun is fun to shoot but it does take some effort to cock. It does make some noise but not too bad and is still what I consider back yard friendly. 19.9gr pellets average 670fps with 25.3's averaging 595fps. This gun is heavy so it would not be a good choice for toting around all day.

    Things I liked:

This gun shoots well, I've gotten a 1 inch group at 45 yards and I've only shot 30 pellets and it hasn't been broken in yet. In those 30 pellets are one squirrel and a Chipmonk that have been sent to East Ridgelawn cemetary this week. So impressed with this gun and thanks to Pyramydair for their birthday sale that made up my mind after reviewing this gun for two months.

    Things I would have changed:

Easier cocking but maybe I'll build muscle with this gun.

    What others should know:

I ordered this Proxima in .25 cal as I have a .22 Benjamin Trail Nitro Piston break barrel. The smack of this pushing a 33.95 grain pellet is amazing at what it does to preditors and targets. Nice two 10 round magazines with this gun and I mounted a Center Point 3+9+40 scope which I already had.Very happy with this gun and I am pushing my hunting buddies to make the purchase.

I REALLY wanted to LOVE this rifle, but it WILL NOT shoot straight! I installed a droop compensator rail and STILL had to shim the scope! After that I could not adjust it far enough to the left! Any ideas or explanations on how to fix that would be greatly appreciated.

I really wanted to LOVE this gun, but unfortunately it has been a bad experience! This gun had so much barrel droop I installed a UTG droop compensation rail and I STILL had to shim the scope! Now it will not pull far enough to the right, any ideas, suggestions would be appreciated to fix this!

    Things I liked:

I liked the looks and feel of the Proxima. Unfortunately thats as far as I got due to the gun being defective right out of the box. Due to this fact I cant really comment on any other aspects of the gun like accuracy, cocking effort, trigger pull weight, etc. However the gun is fairly heavy but I like that for accuracy. The stock, except for the damage from the loose part, is in my opinion really nice. The pistol grip seemed small and I have small hands.

    Things I would have changed:

    Better QA from Hatsan.

    What others should know:

My Proxima came new in box with the bear trap release button loose in the plastic sleeve with the gun. There were no screws or other parts that would allow you to reattach it to the gun. Without this part the gun could net even be cocked as it would not lock in place. Additionally the loose bear trap release button put a very noticeable dent in the walnut stock. Much to the credit of Pyramid Air they handled my return promptly and with no hassles.

This is a beautiful gun. All of the components feel well made, and it's an accurate shot.

    Things I would have changed:

The bore does seem big. I read another post that said the same thing and i have to agree. I now have a pellet stuck in the barrel, so i'll have to go clear that and get some slightly larger pellets.

    What others should know:

I know you've seen this before - this is a HEAVY gun, and cocking it is quite a pull. i didn't really pay much attention to either of those as 10lb's didn't sound heave and 45lb cocking force didn't sound bad either. I can live with it, but it is something to be aware of.
