I was ready to accept that this pistol is not accurate but I was impressed. At 10 feet, this pistol put 4 out of 5 pellets into a 2" target shooting hand-held. At 6 yards. I was putting 5 out of 8 shots into the same target. The pistol shoots a tad low and slightly to the left but I was able to compensate using the non-adjustable white dot sights. Performance Specs were as follows: Using Crossman 7.4 grain Wadcutters: Max Velocity= 324 fps, Min Velocity=321 fps, Average Velocity=322.2 fps, SD=0.97 fps, fpe=1.71. Using H&N Field Trophy 8.64 grain Wadcutters: Max Velocity=298 fps, Min Velocity=284 fps, Average Velocity=289.4 fps, SD=4.8 fps fpe=1.61. Neither grain weight made spec. Using H&N Field Target Trophy non-lead Greens at 5.71 grain, Max Velocity=427 fps, Min Velocity=385 fps, Average Velocity=406.8 fps, fpe=2.1, but SD=17.75 fps and Variance was 315 fps! Greens are fast and made spec but were all over the place.
Things I would have changed:Not much. Pellets are easy to load. I shot 64 7.4 grain Crossman Premier Wadcutters with no sign of diminished gas. Weight and Balance are solid and blowback is harder than expected for a pellet pistol. While I am not the worlds best shot (for sure!), by my standards, this pistol is a great performer. If I had to find something wrong with this pistol, it would be the separate mag from CO2 arrangement. Normally, I like a one-piece magazine, containing both. However, I am slowly becoming a fan of the double 8 shot mag setup and the piercing mechanism on this pistol is far superior to the adjustable thumb wheel on some 'snap it closed' piercing setups.
What others should know:Choose your ammunition carefully before you pull the trigger for the first time. Unless you intend to shoot BBs, only, on this pistol, do not shoot BBs or the rifling will suffer over time and your accuracy in shooting pellets will suffer. I chose pellets first and will spare the rifling the punishment of steel ammunition. I bought two extra magazines and I advise you to do the same. I have put 4 magazines through this pistol and it was still going. Not sure yet what the final number of shots per fill will be but it is very good so far. This pistol is an example of the old adage, "See for Yourself". While, I would never buy this pistol for competition use, how many of us use our CO2 pistols for competition? Do yourself a favor. Check the P226 out. This pistol is a keeper.

Works great. Like the way it functions and weighs like the real thing even the decocker

Very authentic copy of a real P226. Metal frame and slide. Decocking safety. Nicely finished. Groups good. Easy CO cartridge installation and removal. Only areas of improvement would be better quality magazine and sights. Pellets fit properly in one side of the magazine but loosely in the other side. Shoots very low....needs a taller rear sight.

CO2 cartridge loading system is AWESOME. My other CO2 pistols all fail at the cartridge seal after a short time with the uncontrollable squeeze of a thumbscrew,
Things I would have changed:Plastic magazine seems flimsy, full metal like the pistol would have been nicer. Lock the slide after firing last pellet,
What others should know:Very nice replica with realistic look and feel

Nice look and feel, realistic blowback action and loud enough to give a semi-realistic experience. Fun to shoot.
Things I would have changed:The safety is extremely hard to move, it takes two hands because it is so stiff, making it unusable for practice removing from a holster and shooting unless I leave the safety off. Frequently misfires by not advancing to the next pellet-the gun fires but no pellet comes out. This is fixed by continuously pushing up on the magazine while firing, so obviously there is a mechanical problem. Also, the sights are way off. At 8 yards, using a pistol rest, it makes a reasonably tight grouping of about 2 inches in diameter, but unfortunately, this grouping is low by about 4 inches and to the left by about 2 inches. This was the best result I could get from trying various pellets. It has a nice look, feel and firing action, but unfortunately the mechanical problems and inaccuracy make the gun useless to me. I was surprised by the problems, because the gun has a high quality look and feel to it, but the design and/or manufacturing are poor.
What others should know:Pyramid Air took good care of me and promptly allowed a refund. I appreciated the excellent customer service.

I’m a retired LEO and owner of a P226 in .40 caliber. I carried the P226 on the job for years. I purchased the P226 Co2 pellet pistol in order to safely practice skills in my backyard. The weight, feel, and sight picture are perfect for this. Practicing drawing and presentation from concealed, while moving, or from a vehicle; I found the Co2 P226 pistol is outstanding for this purpose.
I like the ease of the Co2 cartridge loading. The trigger pull and reset took some getting used to. Not what I expected. The accuracy is acceptable. My overall opinion is that the P226 pellet pistol is a good training tool and a fun plinker.

I suffer from both a left and right rotator cuff rips. The right was repairable to about 80%. The left was only about 60%. To raise my left arm vertically and hold it is a challenge. I need to practice to over come this. The cost of ammo and no suitable range close by makes it even harder. I read the reviews for the P226 Co2 and was impressed. After some thought I purchased one and was pleasantly surprised to say the least. While it's not 100% identical to my P226 Mk-25, it's close enough for practice. The weight is good and the range is fair. I set up a target in the back yard and able to make bullseye's at 21'. I have so far used this with Crossman Wad Cutters and Pointed pellets and have not been disappointed. I have also used Crossman Powerlet Co2. I would prefer the Sig products but it would seem other then the Pellet Pistol and Rifles, my LGS do not sell much else. As for the accuracy, the pistol shoots straight for the most part. I have not nor will I bench rest it. The lower the pressure of the Co2 cylinder the more wobbly the shot. As for the shot placement, that is all me. With the torn rotator cuff it is hard to get an exact picture and hold it. But this is why I purchased it. To practice with my handicaps.
One note though. I have seen numerous entries for this to be a night stand gun or a varmint gun. Get a real gun for the nightstand or a small gauge shotgun that works for you, not the sales man or woman. He or She is not the one getting up at 2am trying to handle a gun while still blur eyed, you are. You don't defend yourself with a BB gun. Also about the game control. A really mad or wounded animal is nothing to mess with. These pellet/BB pistols may only make them madder and want a piece of you.
Awesome Product Sig Sauer. Thank you.

Very disappointed. Not the quality I’ve come to expect from a Sig product. Kept jamming and had to pry the clip out with a fork. Sent it back for repairs.

Good for plinking and squirrels. Well made with the heft and fit of a P226 9MM.

The pistol performs and functions to the high standard I’ve come to expect from Sig Sauer.

I own a 9mm MK-25 pistol and it's uncanny how similar this air pistol feels by comparison. My only criticism is that it seems to lack power leading to arcing shots. I would like Sig to provide better guidance on pellet types and specs related to each type.

This is my second one and it has the same problem as the first. The magazine catch doesn't work properly. It sometimes jams up requiring a manual release and worse releases the magazine without pressing the release button and then won't hold no matter what. When it gets bad it wont hold the magazine in as it is supposed to and that is why i bought a second one as I thought it may have just been a defective one but it is a definite design problem. Considering the price of the gun I would hope they fix the design flaw but I'm not confident it will happen.

Nice, but inaccurate,
Things I would have changed:The wobbly barrel. this makes the gun very inaccurate. may also leak CO2 so that also need fixing
What others should know:The barrel is just a bit loose in the frame assembly. It is fixable if you take it a part and put some electric tape to fill the small gaps between the trigger frame and the barrel. You can find the mod on YouTube if interested. Check the CO2 valve it may need some PTFE on the valve cap that is located behind the hammer, or you can also use nail polish or LockTite to seal that leak,
