Great construction descent power

Tighten the slide put a better spring in.it shoots high

I like the realistic action of racking the slide and magazine. I also like how its realistic with its weight and materials and how fun it is to rack.

The magazine that came with the gun, there is a button to release the base to slide it open to reveal the hole to penetrate the c02. The problem is, however, the base doesnt slide the whole way, only half. This means I'm going to have to purchase a 2nd magazine in the hopes that it will work. This means also that the Accuracy one for the rating isn't really accurate because I couldnt place my c02 inside in the first place.

The first one that I had developed the same problem as others have reported Sent it back immediately for full refund. Recently purchased another one of these and no problems at this point. The slide release button has been fix.

The slide to frame fit is slightly loose but doesn't affect the accuracy. Needs additional slide rails built into the frame to resolve this problem.

The Pistol has limited Good Qualities about it . The Size , and Weight are Spot on to the Real XD - Essential . It does have Formidable FPS at 420 - 445 FPS , on a full Cartridge , and I am able to get about on average 80 shots per fill. Accuracy is Not Bad at 10 Yards , with a 2 inch grouping , but due to the Hard Blowback , the Pistol does tend to Jerk when Fired. The Pistol fits all holsters designed for it , and is a good Training pistol .

As OTHERS have Stated , The MAIN PROBLEM with this Pistol is the Slide Locking Back (See Photos) ! The ONLY way to Stop this Problem would be to File down the Slide Catch . If You can live with that option then , so be it. But How can Umarex let a Product Go Out of their Factory KNOWING that a POTENTIAL Problem like This Existed With This Pistol??? WHYYY I ASK ??? Nevermind the Difficulty Loading the Magazine with steel BB's from the Top , But I Still Can't Believe that a Respected and Well -Known Establishment like Umarex would put this Pistol under Hours if not Days of Testing to PROOVE it's Worthiness for Distribution to Customers !!!

The feel and look

I bought the gun for my son for Christmas and after two cartridges the trigger stopped working making the gun worthless. Save your money and buy a better quality gun.

The slide problem reported in numerous reviews where it locks back on a full magazine. Mine was chronic about this and though I agree the slide lock lever has a far too light resistance, this is only part of the problem as the plastic frame is too thin and flimsy. Because it flexed so easily, when the slide lock moved upward the returning slide would force it outward since the plastic frame had insufficient strength to prevent the slide lock from being forced out. I know this as I work on airguns professionally and I took my personal XDE apart to try to remedy the problem with the slide lock being forced out of place and this is what was found. The bending outward of the frame is what allows the slide lock to move too far upward and get caught by the slide on return and forced out. After reading several other reviews with this condition being reported, I urge anyone considering this gun to get another product as this one is not built to handle the robust velocity it is capable of.

This is a design flaw and inadequate construction on the frame. Don't think you might get a good one as they are all made of the same cloth and will have the same potential to fail.

I enjoy the build quality and realistic feel of this pistol. There's no question it feels like a 9mm. Open sights make it easy to aquire your target with the red optic. It has comfortable grip and I found it easy to access safety with my thumb.

The magazine is difficult to load and bb follower spring doesn't usually lock back, requiring you to hold it down whilst loading bb's.

The biggest concern should be the fact that this pistol seems to have a flaw mechanically. The slide locks back after every round as opposed to after your last bb. After field stripping the gun I tried to discover what the problem is. It appears that this receiver spring for the slide is a light gauge spring and loses it's compression. If you can find a similar spring that's a little bit thicker and will give more resistance and install that on the receiver the slide should work fine. This is a problem that Springfield should fix and not the consumer. I suggest you get a different gun until this problem is rectified.

Internals needs to be re-engineered.

Sometimes shoots multiple bbs. Slide sometimes locks back while there are still bbs in the magazine.

This pistol shoots nice. Sometimes though it's hard to get that next shot off after a quick magazine dump.

A lot of times this thing will shoot more than 1 BB. Sometimes it's 2-4 BB's at once. This happens when I put a new cylinder in, and it will do it for a good 20 rounds before it will start shooting 1 at a time again. I'm really not sure why.

Great pistol for keeping on top of your game. You can use this pistol to run drills just like you would if it were a real handgun. If you want to be serious about your training and yet save some money on your ammo bill, this thing will do the trick. Great alterative to the real thing. I have noticed a big improvement on my accuracy, even though this thing doesn't have the recoil of a 9mm. But if you treat it like you would a real handgun using the same strength you would to managing the recoil on your real gun, it will give you some real good training.

The pistol looks well made and time will tell how it holds up. The metal slide engraving was crisp and the blueing was dark and even. The polymer frame felt good in the hand and I couldn't see that many injection mold seam lines. The cardboard box packaging was adequate and much better than the plastic clamshell packaging we see so much of nowadays.

Change the owner's manual to discuss pistol disassembly. The takedown lever is a mystery to me, nothing is mentioned in the owner's manual about disassembly and I can't seem to figure it out. The takedown lever swivels like the real steel version but the slide does not pull forward and release from the frame. I've posted about this and am still waiting for any information. The pistol is such a new release that apparently YouTube videos about it aren't out yet!

The blowback is strong but the slide movement is limited to how much of the ejection port is exposed. It reminds me of the Umarex G19x ejection port exposure.

Looks real, feels real. The recoil is very crisp and powerful for a BB gun. It fits in the XDM accessories I already own. Biggest plus in my book is the CO2 screw is a captive screw so you won't strip it like on the XDM version. I got 4 strong magazines (76 rounds) in my 50 degree basement.

I have minor nitpicks: Loading requires dropping the BBs into the top of the magazine. It's not bad but I prefer beveled loading holes preferably near the bottom of the magazine. The magazine slide tab is a real nail buster and it's finicky about fitting in the lock notch.

The box says magazine capacity is 18. However I can fit 20 in the magazine. I did notice it double fed on the first shot of one of the 20 round magazines so maybe 18 is the max you can do before you have that problem. This is a great gun and I'm glad I got it.
