    Things I liked:

Very lightweight and quiet rifle. Mine took a couple hundred shots to break in, but it has not disappointed since.

    Things I would have changed:

The tactical scope that comes with is nice, but a hunting scope would put this rifle over the top.

    Things I liked:

None. The scope light red or green is the only thing cool about this gun. However, it's worthless when dialing it in. Out of the box this gun shoots aprox one foot off. I can do better with a sling shot.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope, the trigger, the weight, the spring action. Pretty much everything.

    What others should know:

I have returned this item that was received opened and in non standard working condition. Pyramyd Air has been very helpful with the return so far. I feel their customer service has been good and if I receive my refund I will only by airgun products from them.

    Things I liked:

I was worried about the noise level so I purhased the X20 suppered .177. I allso purshesed the 20 for 20 because the reviews said after ten or twenty shots the gun even got quieter. Right out of box the gun only made a thunk sound and I nailed two rats the first day with head shots at 15 yards. I'm calling my gun the "ratakater". This gun is quiet and and acurate. And if you live in the city where neihbors would freak out at the crack of a normal 1200 fps pellet gun, this gun is a jewel of a find.

    Things I would have changed:

If you read the reviews you know the trigger is long and stiff. But it's adjustable and the reason ot's long on pull is because it's a two stage trigger. Once you fully understand this the gun becomes very acurate. But it's still hard to get used to. I'll re-visit this problem after a couple hundred rounds.

    What others should know:

The 20 shots for $20 was worth every penny. When they are shooting it they allso sight in the scope so it's quiet and dead on right out of the box. But....once they take it out of the box, it won't fit back in, so you have to purchase the gun case to do the 20 for $20. The case is so nice I put my favorite deer rifle in it because my X20 is always right by the back door.

    Things I liked:

Rifle has a good feel. Scope is Ok, I upgraded, but still a decent little scope. Not too loud. Good power. Good looking rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Rifle will not shoot consistantly. Two shoots in one hole, the next two could be 4" away. Same hold. I have ran about 200-250 pellets through the rifle, has not changed at all. Shoots very accurate sometimes.

    What others should know:

I piad for a 10 for ten test on the rifle. Velocity is about 760fps with RWS Hobby. Very disappointed with this rifle. If it would shoot it would be a good one, but.....

    Things I liked:

The rifle is quiet. Not as quiet as my Gamo CFR. It feels good in the hands. Shoots OK. Hard to shoot consistantly. Two good accurate shots, one way off. Could be the trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

    Good trigger.

    What others should know:

Not as quiet as I had hoped, I own a Bronco, Gamo CFR, Mendoza Blackbird. The supressed Stoeger is as loud or louder than all of them. Not accurate enough for hunting.

    Things I liked:

It is solid, well built, accurate and has power. I have done penetration tests with H&N Barracuda and Beeman Kodiak heavy pellets, mand Dynamil Nobel 13.4 grain pellets in 3/4" cedar, white and yellow pine, (yellow being the hardest of the 3)at close range. It blows through cedar every time with all loads, white pine most of the time with all loads, then yellow pine occasionally. They will stick in oak even at 30 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

    Add open sights.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Nice gun, nice design. And for the dollar amount paid, not a bad product. Trigger is cast steel, not a stamped sheet metal part like the old gamo's Automatic, and ambidextrous safety, you don't even notice it after 5 shots, but you are using it every time. Deep rifling (on the .22 atleast) leaves consistent deep grooves in all lead pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Ditch the 4x fixed scope, its not what this rifle needs. If they had spent just a few more moments deburring this gun before assembly it would have put it in a whole other class. I had razor sharp edges on almost everything. Also they GRIND on the cocking lever AFTER the gun is assembled and it leaves metal filings all in the action! The grinding is done to the part of the cocking lever that acts on the automatic safety (which IS a nice feature) in order to set the proper throw length. Anyway, get these filings OUT of there if you do nothing else, as they will only foul up your piston seal. It's gonna diesel until you get the light weight oil off the spring and piston body, and replace with a moly lube. The reason for this is that it is not just burning off oil that was in the cylinder from assembly, there are likely cuts in the piston seal, as there were in mine, that allow more oil forward into the chamber.

    What others should know:

This gun will shoot fine out of the box, but can be made 10x better by getting the working surfaces deburred and lapped together, everything from the cocking linkage to the rough sheared sear surfaces. Pay for pyramyd's chrono test, it's not expensive and if the gun is doing something funny, it won't be sent to you.

    Things I liked:

Its very accurate, once you can do a little trigger work. I like the weight of the gun. It is a lot heavier than my buddy's gamo rifle and that makes it feel more "real" and makes it easier for me to steady the gun. The stock is quite nice, the cocking, mechanism is smooth and sturdy. I was looking for a solid, reliable shooter that will last me for years....this is the gun I was looking for. The scope is nice for the money. In low light, it is a big step up from what is mounted to my buddy's gamo whisper. His is very soft and out of focus in low light...this 4x scope is quite bright and performs much better than I ever expected it would. The lighted reticle is super cool in low light, the red being much better than the green in my opinion.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is the worst part of the gun. I am used to shooting firearms at distance with approx 2 lb triggers. This registered about 5 lbs via my digital trigger pull gauge. I installed a Charlie DA Tuna trigger and it is now in the 3 lb range. With some more work, it will be under 3 and perfect. The stock trigger is not bad....just "typical" at best. Know that for about $30, you can upgrade this good gun to a really good gun.

    What others should know:

I have smoked over 40 chipmunks and 10 squirrels in the past two weeks....virtually eliminating my garden and landscape problems. Squirrel head shots at 30+ yards? Not a problem. I am ALMOST sad that I am ruing out of targets! I have about 400 rounds thru it so far between plinking and hunting. This is an excellent value and I have already recommended it to a couple of buddy's.....especially the gamo guys. I will replace the scope but only because I will have a better one available due to another upgrade on a different gun I own. Otherwise I would keep the included scope. This is a great package!

    Things I liked:

It's very accurate and very quiet. A very good rifle for the price.

    Things I would have changed:

The bundled scope and the stock trigger. I put a UTG 5th Gen 4-16x40AO Rifle Scope ($70) on it and I love it. I also installed a GTX trigger ($33)and I'm amazed at the difference it makes. Honestly makes it feel like a different rifle. The trigger was simple to install. The whole install took me about 15 minutes.

    What others should know:

I think it's a great deal for the price.

    Things I liked:

The quality of this rifle is ok. You can upgrade the trigger and this should improve performance. Durable construction.

    Things I would have changed:

Junk optics. The scope is terrible. If it was sold without the horrible scope maybe Stoeger could shave a little off the price. You know it's a cheap springer, not much else. The rifle is large and a little on the heavy side. To much plastic for me.

    What others should know:

This would be a little nicer with a wood stock and a nitro-piston. It is what it is and I just wasn't to impressed.

    Things I liked:

I chose this Stoeger After a couple weeks of reviewing all kinds of spec's and prices at various websites and I found PyramydAir Definitively has the best prices and their online tech's invaluable at helping me decide on my First .22 cal. air rifle. I decided on The Stoeger X20S is a real rifle with smooth lines and has everything I hoped it would be. It feels like a real gun and hits hard. After firing my first 50 or so shots I am very pleased with how it handles and shoots. I noticed it sounded loud shooting it, But standing 5 feet away and watching it being fired it made very little noise. The scope seems to work well enough so far and adds to it's good looks. I like Stoeger's 2 year warrantee as apposed to all the other 90 day to 1 year warrantee's. I ordered this rifle on Wednesday morning and it was in my hands Friday morning (48hrs later) and I had it shipped (free) ground 4-5 days - A+ on shipping !

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, better scope would be nicer

    What others should know:

The Tech service at PyramydAir is excellent for all their testing enabling them to recommend which pellets work best in the Stoeger saving me $$$ and the time finding what works best. and the H&N's they recommended are accurate and bury themselves 1/2 deep into rough cut pine 2x10's at a hundred feet.

I just purchased this rifle thinking it was as quiet as the video demonstrates, it isn't. The loudness rating needs to be bumped up to a 4.

    Things I would have changed:

    1. Change the loudness rating. 2. I think the suppressor doesnt really do much for silencing the sound.

    What others should know:

I believe there is no difference between my current Crossman Quest 1000 and this one except for the extra $100 increase.

    Things I would have changed:

upgrade the scope to a variable model

    What others should know:

feels and handles like a standard firearm. the trigger is adjustable and crisp. the noise suppression helps but it hard to qualify as the shooter is exposed to the mechanical noise of the power unit.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .22 cal. I put about 75 rounds through the gun. The first 3 shots were loud after that it quieted right down. After about 50 rounds the mechanics of the gun seamed louder than the report. I would compare it to the noise of a BB gun. Yes it did diesel right on through about 50 shots but then that went away as well. The scope out of the box was way off that took some time to site in. The scope itself is OK I can live with it I'm not rushing out and buying another one. It works fine with the gun for my back yard needs. The trigger is kind of stiff for me. There is a trigger adjustment so I'll work on that next.

    Things I would have changed:

The factory could have sighted in the gun in and ran some rounds through it to lessen the dieseling, but don't let these items keep you from purchasing this gun.

    What others should know:

All in all it is a very solidly built gun. I was out with 2 other guys when we sighted the gun in and ran the 75 rounds through it. One of them now wants to buy one and the other was quite impressed buy the quality. One last thing the gun was very accurate once sited in. Took 3 last shots at 75' using crosman hollow points grouped dime sized right at the bullseye...pretty good! I called it sited in at that point.
