Things I liked:

Great all inclusive package. Perfect for backyard shooting.

Things I would have changed:

Composite receiver.

What others should know:

This is my first PCP and I couldn't be more pleased. I assembled the pump, mounted a UTG true hunter 3x9x40 and set up to pump. The pump is not a precision piece of equipment from what I can tell, but it gets the job done. Again, this is my first PCP set up so I really dont have anything to judge it by. However, there seems to be a little slop in the pump handle. After 126 pumps (I can see why people buy compressors) the gun was filled. I loaded both magazines (comes with 2) with my standby crossman premier 14.3 domes. It took me a few rounds to get dialed in but once I was sighted in the fun factor kicked in! This is an accurate gun. Did I bust out my caliper and measure my groupings at 30 yards? No, that is not the kind of shooter I wanted something that I can hit where I put the crosshairs. This gun delivers exactly that. I do enjoy shooting my RWS 34 (.22) but having the ability to keep welded to the scope for multiple shots is great. I would strongly recommend this gun!

Things I liked:

When it works, it is accurate.

Things I would have changed:

The magazine and loading design is terrible. Jams several times per magazine until I now have a jam I cannot clear less than 1 month after purchase. I now own a $400 paper weight.

What others should know:

Avoid anything with this magazine design until improved.

    Things I liked:

I’m a newcomer to air guns and this is our first air gun. Must say that this is a really nice setup. This gun was exceptionally accurate right out of the box and is such a pleasure to shoot. This pcp is mainly for my wife to shoot and she can get 50+ shots without needing to refill.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing so far.

    What others should know:

Gun will be used for target shooting from a bench rest, so no comments regarding weight for hunting purposes. We bought the combo package that in included the hand pump. I’m 67 and have no trouble filling the gun with the hand pump, though the pressure from 3,000-3,500 lbs does take a bit of effort. So far the gun has exceeded my expectations and I think it is a great value.

    Things I liked:

Takes only 60 pumps to get to 3500 psi from 2000 psi. I never let it go below 2000 psi and never go past 3500 psi, dont want to chance the ept piston to seize up. Good accuracy (1 inch group 50 yd), its not a fx airgun (1 moa gun), but its also not 2200.00 either. Light weight, great for hunting. Gets 40 good shots before hitting 2200 psi. Mine loves cheap crosman jhp pellets, so I lucked out on this purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Wished it used a regular fill probe nipple like the avenger, and not a proprietary fill probe. Add swivels on the stock for sling attachments. Make the barrel shroud metal instead of plastic. Provide a single shot tray with the gun. Provide iron sights on the gun. Have a more of simple design so customers can maintain their gun without sending the gun to the manufacture for repair. Tighten the scope mounts before shipping it out, mine was about to fall off the gun.

    What others should know:

The gun is hold sensitive, so back off about 6 inches away from the barrel band wand youll be ok. I was resting the gun on the sand bag where the barrel band is located and got sporadic groups. My gun was leaking air the first 2 days evertime I hit 2900 psi, but it fixed itself somehow. Once I hit 2900 psi, air was coming out and couldnt pump any further. Thought it was the fill probe, but it was fill probe hole on the gun. After ten sessions of pumping, I was finally able to get up 3600 psi without any leaks. I think the ept system just needed breaking in since its new technology in pcp. It has zero leaks now. So if yours leak around 3000 psi, just shoot it til it gets down to 2000 psi and re-pump it up, do that ten times and it should be able to get to max pressure. This gun was also my 2nd origin gun, thanks for PA great 60 day return/exchange policy (exchanged first origin because something was wrong with the ept system/tank, couldnt pump no more than 20 pumps before it hits 3600ps

    Things I liked:

finally a pcp that does not need a ridiculously expensive compressor, or tank for the dive shop trip, or a thousand pumps on a hand pump, and this thing comes with a hand pump! it's nice to have ten easy shots, loading the magazine takes a workbench and a light and beer, the rounds stick and go sideways when trying to load cocking lever is great Picatinny rail is great, too bad the magazine goes in the middle... my single piece scope mount wants to go over the magazine slot but prevents the magazine from loading. this is a serious design flaw. the pump works great

    Things I would have changed:

the fill probe is awful, takes too much turning, pushing and fiddling to get to the fill position... there is no way of telling when it is finally at the fill position, have to file in your own marker, a quick disconnect or just a simple screw on would be much better. the fill port, de-gas ports on the bottom are ok, not great but at least functional. the plastic cover over them just plain sucks... I just tore the damned thing off, now I have to be careful not to loose it so I can stick it back on after shooting. a removable water tight cover would be better, but can't be a flimsy plastic thing the split Picatinny rail need to be a solid piece or the magazine needs to be lower so it does not interfere with the base of the scope mount I wish the pump base was 6" higher, it gets real tiring to have to make that knee-bend to press down to the very bottom this has a cheek rest but...make the stock removable so the user can customize. it's a long rifle, so a folding stock would be useful

    What others should know:

use low profile scope mounts for short range varmint shooting, there is never enough time to calculate your range, so low profile gives a more consistent zero

price, accuracy (within reasonable distances), weight, easy fill w/ hand pump.

    Things I would have changed:

add silencer, wish it has build in sight.

    What others should know:

first of all, I purchased this at pyramyd air. great service from them. I also purchased 10 shots service just in case. it's a cheaper option than having to send the gun back because it's faulty. i bought it for plinking, wow almost to powerful for it. also use it for pesting, i attached atn 4 k pro, i know that is a lot of scope for the origin, but its one scope that will do it all. great pcp value indeed.

It's light weight easy to handle.

    Things I would have changed:

Sling studs and a forward rail for bipod . I would add another spacer and barrel brace .

    What others should know:

For the price it is a very good air rifle . I expected more accuracy after reading all the reviews but it ain't bad . I'm getting 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards with a couple of pellets and two different slugs . I have not tuned for one particular pellet or slug. The gun is still set from factory . I belive that will make a difference on accuracy. I have been shooting rabbits out of my beans in my garden I have shot 1 out to 60 yards with a nsa 23 gr. Slug . It has been doing its job . All in all I am happy with the purchase the pump and time to pump it up is fine . I have shot Crossman premiere 14 gr. Nsa pellet 17.3 and nsa's 20.2 23. 27 grain slugs it seems to like them great out to 30 yards after that the groups change . The 17 is good at higher pressure. The 27 is good at 28 to 2100 psi and the 23 is where I can shoot out farther at all pressures. The Crossman shoots good all around but can't buck the wind. The 23 gr. Nsa slug does it's in a .217 diameter. Still going to test.

    Things I liked:

honest. The adverts for it are spot on. Light. Quiet. I added a Donny Ronin to be a bit overkill on the sound suppression. Takes a single shot tray from my avenger easily.

    Things I would have changed:

Not something to change but I read other reviews where the presdure starts to drop dramatically below 2800 with each shot. I have mine tuned to maximum (all my guns are) and i get 8 good shots until around 2800 then it goes almost empty. not a big deal. It fills up quickly!

    What others should know:

880 feet per second with fx hybrid slugs. About 38 foot pounds. I am trying h and n rabbit magnums today to see if she can break 40 foot pounds. Incredibly accurate. It loves slugs.

    Things I liked:

This is my first PCP air rifle and let me just say, this is an excellent little first PCP air rifle. I don't have anything to compare it too but I really like it. It is very accurate, light weight, and you get a good bit of shots out of a single fill. I saw a lot of bad reviews talking about the hand pump but mine works great. I have refilled the rifle around 20 times so far and the pump is still smooth and works perfectly. If you are debating on getting this one I would say go for it, I was very impressed with mine.

    Things I would have changed:

Honestly I can't say I would change anything. What you get for the price is a great deal in my opinion.

    What others should know:

Go slow and steady with the hand pump. Make sure you pull all the way up and push all the way down with each stroke. Don't get in a rush and try to go super fast, that will burn out the seals and ruin the pump. Also I would recommend keeping the air pressure above 2000psi at all times, it makes it much easier to pump back up and you still get around 40 shots from full fill.

    Things I liked:

This gun is extremely accurate. Straight out of the box, I was getting 1/2", 10 shot groups at 50 yards. Averaging about 30 shots per fill at the lowest hammer setting. Great value for entry-level PCP.

    Things I would have changed:

The fit of the pellets in the magazine is very sloppy. I would change the tolerances, to get a tighter fit.

    What others should know:

Hand pumping is a chore. Not at all practical for uses such as Pest Control, or hunting.

I don't have the .25 origin yet. I do have the .22. I think it would be the bees knee if umarex made these in a Bullpup model like the AV Avenger. after all they share similer dimensions. I would buy one in a heart beat

    Things I liked:

I have the Umarex Origin in both .22 and now .25 cal, they are my first venture into PCP shooting. I really like the shot count, I fill to 3500 psi and stop at 2000 psi. I'm getting 50 shots with the .22 , I have five magazines and it works out perfect! With the .25 caliber I easily get 24 shots (three magazines) at the same pressure range. I started with a hand pump and it took about 100-110 pumps to fill from 2000 psi to 3500 psi, pretty easy to fill ! I now have a knock off electric pump and it does the hard work and in the 3-4 minutes it takes to fill I have reloaded the magazines and am ready to go again!

    Things I would have changed:

The plastic cover on the stock for the fill port will tear off immediately and is hard to get back in place, I took an exacto blade and chamfered the edges of the holes in the stock and this helps.

    What others should know:

The .25 caIiber received had a low shot count, I was only getting 14-15 shots max from 3500 psi to zero! It was also filling much quicker than my .22 caliber. I suspect the "ever pressure" piston was stuck. PA offered to take it back but I went directly to Umarex for the repair. Custom service was excellent with both Pyramyde Air and Umarex! About two weeks later I had a replacement .25 caliber Origin and it has been flawless.
