    Things I liked:

I love this pistol. It has the heft and action of a real 1911.

    Things I would have changed:

Option of buying wooden grips and spare mags would be good. I find it a little hard to get the spent CO2 cartridge out.

    What others should know:

It's wonderful! After six months + it still makes me smile when I pick it up. It lays on my desk all the time. Often when I need to look away from the monitor I pick it up, flip off the safety, pull back the hammer and squeeze off a few rounds at the target across the room. Blow back feels great and helps me practice quickly reacquiring the sight picture. And even when the CO2 is finally gone, the slide locking back makes me grin. I thought about the cheaper versions, but as soon as I pulled it out of the box this Winchester proved it was worth every penny.

    Things I liked:

This is better than expected in all respects (for the price). Pleasant appearance, heft and trigger operation. Smooth trigger travel and hammer release at about 4.6 pounds. This trigger is not objectionable for me for a field pistol. Slide may seem a little weak holding in forward position. The grouping of this replica is about one inch at 21 FT. using Crossman copper coated steel BBS Like- Raising the CO2 loading lever automatically raises the left side grip allowing for easy grip removal.

    Things I would have changed:

Concerns- CO2 cartridge removal requires two hands, small spring retainer must be pushed out of the way to allow the cartridge to fall free, may even want a small stick to aid in removal. Need to have extra magazines but they are not available. Without magazine, this item will not function. I would buy a different model having extra (stronger) magazines even for the extra cost. This is why I give a overall 4 star rating. Would like a service/parts manual for those of us that can service our equipment. Grip color detracts from otherwise excellent product.

    What others should know:

I had some old powerlets that had been around for over 10 years and the gas content was measured at 3 gms. These low volume 3-4 gm CO2 powerlets would operate the Blow back for about 20 cycles and groups were about 1 in. at 21 ft. The slide will lock open after the last shot out of the magazine if blow back is functioning. The slide failed to fully cycle after 20 shots (low gas) but point of impact did not drop much (-1/2 in). The last five shots drop off dramatically. You can remove the BB clip and hold the trigger while pushing the hammer forward to exhaust the remaining low gas in the powerlet. Point at target while discharging gas. My testing was done at 21 ft from the target, both off-hand and a crutch were used to compare grouping. Little difference observed between the two methods. Crutch cut down on the fliers. Note - if you can hear the impact of the hit on the target at 21 feet, it is a sign of low gas and shots will be low. That is time for changing the CO2 powerlet.

    Things I liked:

It's got the looks and the heft of the real thing done up pretty well- easy to load and the accuracy is better than I expected. This is a fun pistol!

    Things I would have changed:

Wood grips would be nice, along with a spare magazine(so you don't have to stop the fun so soon)

    What others should know:

Don't expect this one to be a tack-driver, it's meant for knocking down pop cans- Enjoy it for the back yard plinking machine that it is...

    Things I liked:

Very Nice 1911 looking pistol for the money. I was able to run 5 magazines through it on one CO2 Cylinder. The Accuracy was a bit off sights are very narrow and it does 'JUMP" with the blowback. I will need more practice with this one. The Tanfoglio had better Accuracy but I would say this one uses less CO2 per shot. The Mag is easy to load and the gun has a great feel to it. Nice weight and full metal makes for a great look and feel. I like that they engraved rather than printed the info on the slide. it looks nicer from a distance.

    Things I would have changed:

White on front Blade of the sight may help. I will be adding this myself soon. The Safety is weird but it makes the gun unique too so plus and Minus at the same time there. The CO2 loading and Unloading is a bit difficult but once loaded it does not leak at all. I did need a knive to remove the CO2 when it was spent. Grips are a little Cheezy for an otherwise Nice looking full metal 1911.

    What others should know:

If you want a fully functional 1911 look this is a bit off the mark. This is offset by the Price however, It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a True 1911 experience I would spend the extra on the Tanfog. If you want to safe some money as well as some CO2 costs then this may suit you well.

    Things I liked:

Great Gun! Best blow back gun I own. This baby kicks and keeps on kickin' on a consistent basis. The velocity is also hard and consistent. I would say for at least 5 clips or more. Very accurate. All metal except for the grips. Looks real. Great feel. A blast to shoot!

    Things I would have changed:

Made the grips look more like real wood.

    Things I liked:

CO2 piercing mechanism, overall weight, blowback action, fairly realistic function, good use of CO2, decent accuracy for a bb pistol, feels powerful for a bb pistol, almost completely metal except for the grips, blowback action, trigger pull, slide that locks back after last shot

    Things I would have changed:

Make the removable grip fastening clip of spring steel. Use a slightly tougher plastic for the grips. Remove double safety. Make the magazine metal.

    What others should know:

This pistol is a hoot to shoot. I absolutely love it. A really fun plinker. Ranks right up there with the Walther PPK bb pistol in my opinion. Maybe even better because of the CO2 piercing mechanism working with a lever instead of having a screw protuding from the bottom of the grip. On a 65 degree day I can get 4 clips (60 shots) with decent power by resting slightly between shots. Although it does not come with an extra magazine, you can order them online from the Winchester air gun site. I ordered 4 taking only four days to arrive, total cost with shipping just at $35. The piercing lever functions great although there is a short learning curve to use it properly. I wasted my first CO2 cylinder when I let the lever slip from my grip. Although, the safety is a double safety (small button on safety lever which must also be depressed to move safety to fire position) you will soon get used to it once you start using the pistol. The trigger is no target trigger, but is smooth and breaks predictably once you get used to it. Pull weight is just right in my opinion, not overly easy or overly strong. The build quality seems to be right up there with my Walther PPK bb pistol also. Although I did not purchase mine from Pyramyd, I have purchase from them in the past and found them to be great people to to do business with. If BB or Paul Capello would review it, I think they would be pleased.

    Things I liked:

Very close attention in detail compared to the original.Have fired about 200 rounds through it so far. Seems to function without any problems.

    Things I would have changed:

The color of the grips. Make them a darker brown! Also, the left side removable grip panel does not seem to fit in place too securely. I suspect that in time it will show problems in falling of the frame. Make the tabs that hold the grip panel in place out of flat spring steel instead of plastic. A second magazine would be nice. Make the grip safety, magazine and rear sight out of metal not plastic.

    What others should know:

Overall this is a fun pistol to shoot. Could be a bit more accurate but it was never intended to be a serious target pistol. I get four magazines (64) shots out of a co2 cartridge.

    Things I liked:

Well i don't often buy a new gun before i see reviews but i like the look of this so much and took a chance. The gun feels like a real 1911, the slide action works great as does the safety. Loading the Co2 Cart and BBs are a beeeze. For the most part it is pretty accurate at 20 feet and i did hit soda cans from 30 yards.Finish is good and trigger is not bad at all.The mag has not jammed yet and shoots fast.I did not chrony but it seems to have good power and will penatrate a full soda.A fun fast shooting plinker All metal is always a good thing.

    Things I would have changed:

Not a thing a real nice replica of my favorite gun. Well two mags would be cool

    What others should know:

I always shoot a new gun every day for a week just to make sure everything is working and holding up.Buy pleanty of BBs and Co2 carts.

    Things I liked:

Size and weight are authentic. there is no stupid orange muzzle. Trigger OK. Short-range accuracy is adequate for a training gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The extra button on the safety is annoying. Loosening the screw on the safety and pulling it out about 1/2 inch allows you to remove the button.

    What others should know:

The instructions are vague about putting the CO2 cartridge in. I wasted a couple before getting it right.

    Things I liked:

I've encountered widespread complaints about this gun on several websites because it does not operate like a Colt 45. For what it is, this is a terrific gun. It looks the part and shoots generally well. It's not designed to be an operational replica of the Colt. Overall, a nifty looking, fun plinker.

    Things I would have changed:

Power drops off pretty dramatically during rapid fire causing the slide to fail to cycle every so often.....not a problem with controlled rate of fire.

    What others should know:

    Nice gun.......buy it!

Good accuracy and power. Metal construction seems quite solid.

    Things I would have changed:

A metal magazine would be more better.

    What others should know:

For the price there isn`t a better deal anywhere, considering metal construction and power with a blowback airgun.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

-410 fps max velocity compared to 300-360 with other full metal blowback action guns. -Uses a lever mechanism to puncture co2 cartridges instead of a traditional screw action. -Co2 is loaded in the gun, NOT in the magazine (I think this contributes to the 410 fps). -Realistic recoil action that cocks the hammer, plus the slide locks back after the last shot. -Grips are very easy to paint (black PLASTI DIP rubberizing spray paint is PERFECT imo). -Authentic looking 1911 style trigger which is SA-only (as it should be). -98% metal construction = durable (manufacturer's specs: 1.87lbs / 843g, when empty). -Magnet in top of clip prevents BBs from rolling out of the barrel and assists with loading. -True Colt 1911 .45 look and feel (for most of the part). -Limited one-year warranty.

    Things I would have changed:

I wouldn't necessarily change anything about this gun but here are a few FYIs: -Slide locks back and/or travels about 40% that of a real 1911 (I think this helps with fps). -The safety has a safety button on it that must be pressed to disengage it (easily "fixed"). -The grip safety is plastic and non-functional (just wish it was metal). -Rear sight is fixed and plastic (don't know if plastic is beneficial and/or necessary, but would've liked metal and/or adjustable). -The integral parts of the co2 lever mechanism are metal. The visible part of it is a plastic cover piece which looks like the mainspring housing on a real 1911. -It would've been nice if more than one clip was included. -The one thing I would definitely change about this gun is the name "model 11" because Winchester released a model 11 shotgun in the past.

    What others should know:

I think this gun is a pretty good buy for the money and not too bad with accuracy. It's loads of fun and comes with a decent warranty. I've found that one co2 cartridge will fire five clips, or 75 shots, on average; half of what Daisy claims in the manual but not bad for this type of gun. I recommend using pellgunoil on your co2 cartridges, about every other or third one. I also recommend Daisy Precision Max (aka Premium Grade) BBs. They are the best quality for the money, hands down. ***I HIGHLY recommend the aforementioned black PLASTI DIP rubberizing spray paint for the grips on this gun! The grips turn out absolutely wonderful with this stuff!***

Excellent finish...Comes in a nice matte black. Looks like a parkerized finish. All metal design, great weight and feels good in the hand. Slide to frame fit is tight, very little play.

    Things I would have changed:

Magazine is plastic...A metal mag might be more durable. Rear sight sits in a dovetail in the slide but is not adjustable. An adjustable rear sight would be nice.

    What others should know:

Accuracy was good. Fifteen out of twenty-six rounds in a 2" circle at 30 feet (two hand hold, rapid fire). If you're a fan of the 1911 pistol, you'll enjoy this one! I got 70 good shots out of a single Crosman 12 gram co2 cartridge.
