Good quality, shoot well. Weights and diameter are consistent.

Things I liked:

These are similar to my 82gr hp. I call 'em varmint pills. Also in the same weight range are the 85gr Spitzer style pointy-headed slugs. So, you can have three types of slugs with similar weight. Also you can practice with the 87gr, and hunt with the more expensive mrhollowpoint.com slugs. They are excellent slugs too. Best of both worlds.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing.

What others should know:

Yep, and very important. These and the longer 105gr had a almost imperceptible clipping on my donnyfl. On airforce .257, on max power, shots 2, and 3 were the power shots. So, I'd get a flyer or two on my left. Then gun would go back to pinpoint accuracy. I reamed and chamfered donnyfl end cap to .30cal. Also ran a file on edges of interior baffles. Basically, cleaning it up. Works perfectly and consistent now. If it happens to you, use a marker pen on internal exit hole. Test to see if you mark with ammo. I use the Ronin on this rifle for sound mod.

  • Anthony from USA asked:

I dont know the difference with the .257 would these be compatible with the airforce escape or condor models and not cause some sort of failure?

    • Mark from USA asked:

Will this work in a Seneca eagle claw?

      • Mark from USA answered:

Yes. They would have to be single loaded. They will not fit in the magazine.

    • Miguel from USA asked:

will this pellet fit in my .25 cal rifle...mike

      • Brian from USA answered:

NO! YOU DO NOT WANT TO SHOOT THIS IN A .25 CAL PELLET BARREL. The ,25cal barrel is not only going to be fairly undersized as the .25 nominal is more likely undersized at .243 you also must consider that the pellet barrel will further be choked. The pellet rifle will also have a slower twist rate for a lighter pellet projectile weight of only 26 grn or so... The .25 pellet rifle will often likely have less power too. Asking a 90+ grn solid bullet at a greater nominal diameter of .257++ usually sized .00025 over the actual slugged and measured individual bore. The heavy bullet not only will be restricted and dragged down in the pellet barrel as it's greater bearing surface will drag down the barrel and then further smacked down by the choke at the end of the pellet barrel with its heavy solid body has no give like the skirted light weight pellet. Although the slower twist rate does offer less friction than the faster rate of the .257 slug barrel, it does not spin the heavy slug fast enough to offer the heavier bullet the stability that it needs to fly true if it doesn't drag and foul the pellet barrel to the point of getting itself stuck in the barrel.... Slugs are very critical to tolerance of the bore and the projectile. Enough dia to seal the air behind the projectile but not anything more than what will drag the bullet. Likewise the heavier bullet will wish for enough twist to spin it fast enough but nothing more necessary than to cause more drag and friction as it must slide over a greater surface area of the faster twist will consume more energy overcoming friction as it imparts more spin.... A much more critical tolerance and greater amount of shear brute power. Pellets rifles are for shooting pellets and slugs are for purpose built pneumatic slug guns. .257 is a proper bullet .25 is a skirted pellet. 100 grains vs 25 grains Big differences. The purist will cast or swage their bullets up to .0005 over the individual bore and then will do a finish size to .00025 over bore. That's some precision that you just can't buy off of the shelf and load into your gun right out of the box. It's not that idiot proof or consumer plug n play. Not like the industry marketing folks want you to believe. It's not going to be as simple as they show you on YouTube. If you are precision and a purist, you will get that performance. But it's not simply off the shelf plug and play.

      • Mark from USA answered:

You would probably have to single load the slugs. They will not fit in any magazines. Unless you have a high powered PCP they will not shoot very well.
