The Daisy Model 599 Competition Air Rifle helps both beginning and advanced shooters increase their accuracy and scores compared to lesser airguns. This is a match-grade target air rifle capable of velocities up to 520 FPS with enough air capacity to last for an entire competition without needing a fill-up.
The handsome beechwood stock is set up for competitive success, with multiple adjustments that include an adjustable cheek riser and a rubber buttpad that adjusts for both elevation and length of pull. In addition, the forearm and pistol grip feature checkering that ensures a firm hold that will remain secure even during the most intense moments of a shooting match.
The Daisy Model 599 Competition Air Rifle offers multiple trigger adjustments to yield a custom setup that gets results, including a left and right rotation adjustment and a pull weight that adjusts down to 1.5 pounds for ease of use. In addition, the cold hammer-forged BSA barrel produces consistent shots with superior accuracy designed to excel during a shooting competition.
This air gun offers competition sights, which include a front globe sight that comes with multiple aperture inserts that can be changed out as needed, as well as a diopter rear sight that uses precise micrometer adjustments for both windage and elevation. The rear sight sits on a 10.8mm dovetail optics rail and allows for the use of a scope if desired.
The straight-pull T-handle bolt action on this match-quality air rifle means shooters can quickly advance to the next shot while maintaining their point of aim more easily than other types of action. An accessory rail under the forearm is also included to enable the attachment of sling mounts and other compatible accessories.

I like the build quality and the looks of the rifle and the operation of the rifle is a joy to use.
Things I would have changed:The barrel did not have a crown, and this affected the accuracy considerably. I don’t know if it left the factory without a crown installed on the barrel or if that’s the way they let the guns go out. Accuracy was horrible until I put a crown on the barrel, then the accuracy became acceptable.
What others should know:The trigger is acceptable, but could use a bit of refinement. The rifle is fun to shoot once you crown the barrel correctly. The rifle is louder than expected for such a low power.
