The Gamo Swarm Maxxim 10X GEN 2 Multi-Shot Air Rifle is an economical breakbarrel airgun that's well-suited to plinking, pesting, and small-game hunting. Reaching velocities of up to 1,300 FPS in .177 and 1,000 FPS in .22 (with alloy pellets), it offers shooters a light and compact repeating platform for fast follow-up shots.
The Swarm Maxxim uses an IGT inert gas piston powerplant for smooth and stable operation, reduced vibration, and increased longevity due to the lack of spring fatigue, plus better low-temperature operation and the ability to leave it cocked for longer periods. It also includes a 2-stage Custom Action Trigger that independently adjusts each stage for travel.
The 10X GEN 2 Quick-Shot magazine attaches horizontally and flush with the stock to ensure a low profile, and the bottom of the grip comes off to reveal an extra magazine storage compartment. In addition, the Shock Wave Absorber pad translates to nearly 75% less recoil than airguns without a buttpad.
The barrel of this airgun is jacketed with polymer and employs Whisper Maxxim noise-reduction technology for a quieter shot. Also, the stock is filled with automotive-grade glass and features all-weather synthetic construction and a textured rubber grip and forearm for a firm hold.
This air rifle comes with a Gamo 3-9x40 scope that's fog-proof, waterproof, and shockproof, as well as a mount. In addition, it includes an 11mm dovetail Recoil Reducing Rail that increases the longevity of scopes because it eliminates nearly all recoil for optics attached to it.

This gun is very accurate it likes the H&N 10.65-gram round nose barracuda .177 Cal.my gun is shooting them at 779 feet per second average It's deadly on sparrows most of my shots have been 15 to 20 yards and a few maybe at 30 yards. Don't miss too often! very nice gun light weight fun to shoot.

Wow, what a cool air rifle. I'm a newbie to break barrel and PCP air guns. I had the usual Daisy, Crosman along with my Sheridan .20 cal air rifles as a Kid. Been a hunter for 50 years. So I figured to try something different to hunt squirrels with. So purchased the Gamo Swarm Maxxin for Pyramyd Arms. First off, great company!!! Now to the rifle. Ergonomics are perfect. To me it's one of those guns when you pickup and shoulder it, you know that this thing should shoot good. It cocks very easy. The included scope works well for the intended 30-40 yard range of the rifle and was easy to sight in. You can always upgrade the scope. But no need to get started. It appears to be accurate at 35 yards. Using Norma's 15.9 gr Domed pellets I was getting inch groups just lean against a tree. I'm into hunting accuracy, not bench accuracy. So your mileage my vary. Build quality looks pretty good and should last for awhile for my intended use of hunting.

What others should know:The 10 shot magazine and easy cocking makes for a good repeater. It just might become my favorite squirrel gun. It's quite, accurate and feels good shooting. I didn't mess with the trigger since it seems fine right out of the box. Any how for about $200 bucks in 2024 it appears to be a fine "hunting" air rifle.
