Things I liked:

Power! Accuracy! In general everything about the pistol is top notch! Great feel in your hand, cocking the hammer back has the feel of a well made gun. All the mechanics of the gun are smooth feeling. So far i sighted it in with a red/green dot scope and shot one 80 cu.ft. scuba tank of air through it, which was between 28-30 fills. Each fill will shoot two six shot cylinders with the last two shots dropping in power. Hunting with the AR6 pistol i will carry a small pony tank in my back pack and top it off every six shots. The first six are hard to tell from a rimfire. My first shot was in the garage and it went through a 1x4 like butter. Oh yeah it loads with air in about two seconds real easy, that's something none of the reveiws have mentioned. PCP's are expensive to get started with the scuba tank, filling station, hose, etc. but once you have everything together its pretty cheap to shoot. $ 5.00 to fill a tank and then shoot all weekend for the five bucks plus pellets. Speaking of pellets, so far my ar6 loves beeman crow mags and eunjin 28.4 grain.Tried some daisy precision max flat-nose and they suck big time, i melted mine after i shot 12, don't waste your money. I have some more beemans coming to try out but the crow mags are dead on the money as in six inside a dime @ 10 meters. This is my first PCP and it won't be the last, one shot and im hooked big time! I see a big bore rifle in my future before next hunting season.

Things I would have changed:

Maybe price a little or add iron sights.

What others should know:

Just that its a great shooting pistol that will out shoot maybe 98 percent of the people that shoot it. If you can hold it on a dime IT WILL HIT IT! Plus it loads real fast and smooth and it cycles quicker than just about any air gun out there.

Things I liked:

Nothing. What a piece of junk. This pistol is in my trash can. It is inoperable and there is no way to send it back for repair. I live outside the United States and recent TSA regulations prohibit the shipment of ANYTHING resembling a firearm (even TOYS!) into the United States. Despite multiple phone calls with Pyramid Air and some freebie seals and parts, no one outside the States can figure out how to take it apart and fix it. Actually, one did take it apart, placed new seals, but it still failed to recharge - leaking air immediately upon charging.

Things I would have changed:

This was my first PCP and my first air gun, so I was not familiar with how these worked. What no one told me and I never read it anywhere, is that there must always be some pressure inside the gun at all times. Do NOT shoot it until the air is empty! Further, do not leave the hammer down when not in use. It can press on a tiny valve that can release air. (This is why one reviewer says to cock the hammer when recharging). So four weeks after I shot the gun empty and left the hammer down, it would not recharge properly, leaking air from multiple ports during the recharge process. Of course this was after I purchased a $600 air tank and finally got a correct tubing with quick connect as Air Pyramid sent me the wrong recharging set up (a $125 mistake). After spending $2000 for the gun, wrong tubing, international courier delivery via FEDEX, customs taxes, air tank, corrected tubing, and valves, it doesn't work at all and I cannot send it back. Bummer.

What others should know:

Always leave positive air pressure inside the gun. Never shoot it empty. The air seals always need some positive air pressure. Don't store with the hammer down. Leave the hammer cocked. One more thing: the lack of iron sights is a major problem. I tried to fit a red dot sight on it, but after placing an adapter, it sits so high up that it made it very difficult to adjust the windage.

    Things I liked:

The AR6 is Built Tuff. Quality little air gun. The pictures here are my gun. Target picture is a common 6 shot pattern. 1st 2 shots are solid and shoot on the high side, next 4 shots were lower. Grouping and Windage are consistent. Best to shoot 6 rounds and top off your air tank for best consistentcy. This is a very loud air gun, 10 inch barrel at 1000fps requires a lot of air to be released. I added a WOLF on the barrel. This is a Target and Hunting gun. Made to have a stable platform to steady your shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs a bigger air tank. There is a 24" Longer Barrel and Larger Air Tank version out there, but hard to find. I would shave off some of the extra Lumber. If I was a better at wood working, It is Hard Walnut.

    What others should know:

Its LOUD.. Best Bring Ear Plugs. It does Not shoot as a 2 Stage Trigger out of the box. It is my understanding that if the inside moving parts Trigger & Hammer are polished. It will shoot Semi-Auto/2 Stage Trigger mode. It is a Target Gun, meant to be Cocked, Aimed And Trigger Pulled for a more accurate shot.

    Things I liked:

I just picked up the 25 caliber version of the hunting master. First impression, great craftsmanship. The fit and finish is excellent. The revolver cylinders slide into the frame with a good fit with no percieved gap, very tight machining tolerances in the construction. Very powerful as well. I have quite a few air pistols and this one definitely seems the most powerful. 6 good full power shots on a full charge. Accuracy seems like it has good potential.

    Things I would have changed:

The top of the dovetail rail on top of the receiver is rounded. Normal dovetail rings and mounts do not like to mount vlbecause of that domed top not giving proper clearance. I had to mill out my dovetail base on the mount to accomodate it would have been easier to have a flat top on the rail. The trigger seems to need a little tuning too. Most other air pistols either come with a built in shroud or moderator or at least a threaded muzzle to accept something . This does not. Definitely needs something to reduce the noise.

    What others should know:

Very loud. Beautiful wood stock/grip. Seems to favor baracuda pellets in 25 cal so far.

    Things I liked:

Very high quality is obvious, with a beautiful wood grip. I have not tried to see how many shots I can get on a full pressurized system but I have not noticed any negligible difference after 18 shots. Easy to pressurize with my Hill pump. and seems very accurate. Would be great for back packing to get camp meat.

    Things I would have changed:

I think I could forego the wood and have a slimmer and a more functional pistol grip with a weaver rail under barrel for a light or laser for field use.

    What others should know:

A little expensive but the quality tells you why. For a hand gun to shoot close to 1000' per and be this accurate is a testament to modern day craftsmanship.

    Things I liked:

Luv this AR6. Its as close as a shooter can get to a mid-power .22 rifle. Accurate for 12 good hard shots. Meets all my expectations. Single Action is smooth as silk. Solid Steel 6 Round Cylinder makes this Revolver cycle nice and consistent. How fast can you shoot? (Do Not shoot in Double Action, Must be cocked then trigger pulled:^) AR6 can keep up at any speed you can shoot. The stock is very nice No Varnish to chip and mark up. Sanded smooth and oiled. Proper way to treat a piece of walnut I must say. Heavy Duty Hammer and Trigger great single action setup at its price range.

    Things I would have changed:

More contoured Stock. Little of that Nice Hard Walnut Shaved off would save some weight, like 1/4-1/2lb. Bottom Nub is HUGE, but works excellent with a Bi-Pod or Gun Rest for a level stable platform to shoot from. A Lighter Tactical Look would be cool. It is LOUD. Shroud and Baffle the Barrel Would be nice to have non-destructive Double Action

    What others should know:

It will bend parts inside if you shoot Double Action (Pulling the Trigger without cocking the hammer) youtube tutorials by Dirt'ae Harry are very informative, just too much incorrect info. The Cylinder Magazines that are shown on the video's have been modified too shoot the longer Pointed Eunjin 32.4gr Pellets. Todays AR6 can only shoot the Lighter Round Head Eunjin 28.5gr Pellets. Dirt'ae Harry's Beard is painted on:^P 12 shots refill it tends to shoot high first couple shots, and a bit Low last 2 shots.

    Things I would have changed:

I have the .22 cal., it can only be shot in single action. Plus I would add an air gauge, it has none. Put some iron sites on it.

    What others should know:

It advertises 1000 fps but it only gets 675 fps on my crony. The power is there but it is short the 1000 fps. I get 10 full power shots, each mag holds six pellets. The mag is large so you can put very large pellets into it and not have to worry about pellet size.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Very Hard hitting and incredibly accurate. I found the best pellet for it to be the Kodiak. Also works well with the Excite copper coated pointed pellets for better penetration. Every pellet hits the same hole at 25 yards. Easily goes through a 1 inch board. Buries pellets 2 inches into 4x4. Was not able to measure pellet speed with my Speeder 2000 Shooting Chrony. Chrony shows pellets to be moving at 3,800 FPS and I know they can't be traveling that fast. Chrony worked correctly with all other guns I have used it with. Think the problem with the speed measuring is that the gun blasts out a lot of air at very high velocity. I am sure the pellet is not traveling at the speed measured but air with other debris is traveling at supersonic speeds which is why the guns makes so much noise. The Chrony is probably measuring the supersonic speeds of the debris coming out the barrel. Later correctly measured initial velocity with Pro Chrono to be 844 fps with 21.12 grain copper coated Kodiak pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

Does not have a pressure gage. Does not come with sights. Does not have a cover over the fill hole. Does not have a hammer block. Makes a lot of noise. Is picky about which pellets it will work with.

    What others should know:

Others have said this gun works with any .22 pellet. I have not found that to be the case. Most of the pellets I have tried are a lose fit in the revolver magazine. When the gun is pointed down (which is the way I normally carry it for safety), the pellet directly behind the barrel falls into the barrel. When the hammer is pulled back the cylinder rotates and another pellets lines up with the barrel resulting in the first shot with a full revolver magazine firing two pellets at once. Use of the Kodiak and other pellets like them that are slightly bigger solves this problem as the pellets are a snug fit in the magazine and will not fall into the barrel. This pistol does not have a hammer block. I accidently dropped the gun from 1 foot above a carpeted floor with the safety on. The gun discharged a pellet. The only safe way to carry it is to fire the first shot in a safe direction after loading a full magazine. That way if it falls it may discharge air but will not fire a pellet.

    Things I liked:

Everything except the trigger and no sights. I can get one-inch groups at 20 yards with 28.5 grain Eun-gins and about 645 fps initial muzzle velocity, dropping down to about 500 fps by 495 by the 6th shot

    Things I would have changed:

Put some iron sights on it like the Hatsan and reduce the size of the butt on the hand grip - you don't need so much wood down there

    Rating 2.02.0 2.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

The stock is very nice walnut and the barrel is well blued. The cylinder will take most any pellet. The action works like a single action revolver. It comes with two cylinders and a fill probe. Accuracy was very good with all the pellets I used. It can be shot offhand if needed when hunting.

    Things I would have changed:

Evanix has made two changes that I don't like; they don't put their name on the gun and they don't come with a dust cover for the fill port. You should also know that there is no hammer block safety so if you bump the hammer while it is down the gun will shoot. The only safe way to carry the pistol is with the hammer cocked and the safety on because the safety doesn't block the hammer when its down.

    What others should know:

It is advertised to shoot at 1000 fps but all I could get was 835 fps.

    Things I liked:

This pistol feels great in the hand.Cycles with no troubles.Wood is flawless,Obviously hand selected.Bluing is awesome as well.

    Things I would have changed:

To agree with everybody else this pistol needs iron sights.600.00 for a airgun without sights is a bit high. This pistol does not "kick", all that extra wood on the bottom of the grip is unneeded.

    What others should know:

This pistol is great. However, it is not as great as most distibutors are advertising. It will not shoot 1000 fps. Mine shoots the 11.9 gr. at 855 fps. There are no sights so I gave this gem a rating of 1 on accuracy. Just how acurate can a pistol be with out sights?I gave it a rating of 2 for value for the money on the grounds of paying 10.00 for 10 shots with the same pellets that were advertised to travel 922 fps. and getting a print out showing 855 fps.(niether coming close to the 1000 fps advertised)I gave an overall rating of a 3 becouse it is one pretty gun.It feels good to hold.Feels/looks like it will last.My hoest opinion is at 3000 psi you have 2 kill shots with this pistol.(dont expect anymore)Would I recomend this to a friend? Already have.Though I feel the advertising is way exagerated,it is a great pellet pistol. And for anybody shopping it blows the Hatson atp1 25 caliber away.If you have 600.00 needing to be spent, this air pistol should be considered. One more thing to note is this pistols noise rating in no way should be a 5. More like a 2 1/2. No ear protection required.I would furter say it is backyard friendly. If your niabors claim to have a problem with you shooting this in your backyard ,I promise they simply just have a problem with you.I hope my honest review has helped, and not offended anybody.

Nothing as after 2 weeks I cannot shoot this pistol. If you have a foster fitting on your pump/tank you need to order a special conversion fitting for $10 and this is not clear from the product description. Please note the quality of the fitting is horrible. It does NOT fit into a foster female adapter due to poor workmanship and bad tolerances.

    Things I would have changed:

CLEARLY communicate on the product description the need for proper fittings. Actually inspect and make sure the conversion fittings work and fit their respective counterparts.

    What others should know:

Gun finish is good but w/out correct fittings the gun cannot be charged,

Update... PA fixed my problem with it very fast. GREAT customer service! Thank you PA! :) (I just forgot to update my review.) So... Again, a very powerful & accurate gun. Great for hiking when you want protection from or to hunt small to meium game, but don't want to haul around a rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Again... SIGHTS! For the $$$ it should have something... anything! lol I put a red dot on mine, but would have loved to just have some simple/decent adjustable sights on it.

    What others should know:

This model works the opposite of the new Renegade pistol! More power when shooting DA than SA. Also, you only get about ten good shots out of it at 2,700 psi. If I could find a place to fill my scuba tank to 3,000 psi it would probably get 12 full power shots out of it (both clips). There is a trick you can do to get more (but less powerful shots) out of it. Take a faucet washer & cut it to fit inside where the hammer strikes & over the firing pin, & you'll get a lot more shots out of it, & more quiet too. - The BBA -

    What others should know:

Yes I've already did a review (2008-06-24) but after reading all the reviews i have comment on the review the said the woodwork/stock was cheap and felt like plastic. Well the wood is a 9 out 10 easy and the feel is 10 out 10. The first thing a friend that collects guns said was something about the quality of wood and overall shape of the handle. And he can't get over how nice it does everything. I can't figure for the life of me what that reviewer was thinking?
