Things I liked:

The power and accuracy of this gun is more than satisfactory considering the price. It is easy to pump, lightweight, and fun to shoot. The included scope is easy to mount and functions well. Seems sturdy and well built. The accuracy is very good from 15 to about 35 or 40 feet. This would be a great transition gun for a young shooter to go from a red ryder type to a more adult gun, although this gun is also built to please the adult target or small pest shooter.

Things I would have changed:

A metal receiver would be nice, but the all plastic construction makes for a lightweight gun that is easy to aim and fun to shoot. It is slightly difficult to load pellets, but a pellet pen solves this issue. I think it is a bit odd that the gun must be cocked to pump, maybe that is a safety feature, but i would not store it cocked, even tho that means leaving the air chamber empty when storing.

What others should know:

The fact that the barrel is rifled means you should consider keeping this gun a dedicated pellet shooter so as not to ruin that rifling. Keep it oiled, and it will perform well. Keep in mind that the scope is not super high quality, but it is nice for what it is. Be safe and have FUN!

    Things I liked:

Very good little rifle, although feels light and little cheap, performance is much better than I expect. Only thing is, after 6 stoke, its getting harder and harder to make it to 10. and somehow I was little worried about whether the handle may break over time--it is plastic and over time they got crisp and weak. At 13 yd, this little gun penetrated both side of a metal cookie tin with 10 stoke, so the power is good enough to take out birds, squirrels, maybe even rabbits if placed well within 20-25yds. The scope is OK compare to the price, just need to sight in little bit and the only thing is, it is not mounted correctly on the ring--almost 45degree off when I got it and have to adjust it manually.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe little metal part for the pump and cylinder will make it last much longer...

    What others should know:

Here is performance, I only got 3 pellets: H&N Field Target--not tested, GAMO Pro Magnum 7.9gr and Crosman Pointed milk jar 7.4gr, I didn't read 10 stoke and just shot few round and seems very good, way over my expectation 1 pump: Crosman 270fps; Gamo 260fps 2 pump: Crosman 384fps; Gamo 377fps 4 pump: Crosman 460fps; Gamo 448fps 6 pump: Crosman 575fps; Gamo 564fps 8 pump: Crosman 660fps; Gamo 651fps

    Things I liked:

The airgun is excellent, however the scope that comes with it is very-very inaccurate, bad to zeroing in !

    Things I would have changed:

You guys have to consider replacing it with a better scope, even if it means increasing the price for the airgun ! I would personally ,and gladly pay let's say $20.00 to $40.00 more if the scope was potentially more accurate !

    What others should know:

Well, so far the whole process of purchasing, paying, getting products shipped is pretty on the money ! That means great ! I would recommend this company for this type of sports gear !

Very good rifle. Very accurate right out of the box. One click up on the ramp and it is perfect.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it just a tad easier to load pellets.

    What others should know:

Haven't mounted the scope. I'm so used to shooting with iron sights and I think the scope would make it even harder to load pellets.

    Things I liked:

Nostalgic. I begged my parents for this gun in epic fashion in 1972 when it came out. More than the Ralphie. I got it Christmas morning. Well, I got the owners manual, after passing my dads safety questions I got the rifle. After wearing it out in 3 days, and the second one in one day. We traded it back for a refund figuring their whole lot was defective at our local store. . HOWEVER after reading how much fun people are having with it now, I decided to get one. I've only put about 100 rounds through it. A little tricky scoping in freehand. But its a blast.

    Things I would have changed:

More metal less plastic. I think my original had a metal pump handle, but I could be wrong. I should be able to put the safety on without cocking it first.

    What others should know:

    great plinker

    What others should know:

It took about 10 shot to get the scope zeroed. After I got it set I was able to make 3 pellets touch at 5 yards. I will start shooting it back to 30 yards. If this gun shoots like the gun I had as a kid did, I will be very happy.

    The gun is lite weight.

    Things I would have changed:

I could NOT get this gun to shoot a group less than 6 inches at 30 feet with BB's or pellets. I had my buddy try it as well & we couldn't get this rifle to group at all. I couldn't use the scope because I had to adjust the scope so much that it never really came into focus & the lock ring wouldn't fix it because it was so far out. Maybe this was a lemon gun. Not sure but there were some testimonials about guys shooting quarter size groups at 25 YDS. I did NOT have those kinds of results. My usual targets are quarter sized disks shot from 30 feet away.

    Things I liked:

This is the best air gun for the price. Looks and feels good.

    Things I would have changed:

You need to be really careful when placing the pellets in the chamber. I found some tweezers with a 90 degree bend it them that works great. I would also like to have the locking mechanism on the pump handle a little looser so it's easy to pull it away the handle away from the gun.

    What others should know:

No need to pump more than 7 times. It really doesn't increase the speed of the pellet it just creates more "flyers." Spend some time zeroing the scope. Yes, it's cheap but if you take your time you'll get decent groups. Try many different types of pellets until you find the best ones for your gun.

    Things I liked:

I have this Daisy 880 S now for 6 months or more and put approximately 1000 or more pellets through it. It is in deed a wonderfully accurate and easy to handle multi pump rifle. It is easy to pump, not to hard to load pellets into the breech, if you use like a pair of clamping tweezers, this tweezers can be bought for $1 at your local Dollar Tree as a set in 6. So far my best results was with the Daisy precision max pointed up to 30 yards, after that they opened up the point of impact. And with Winchester Domed I was getting pretty amazing patterns out to 50 yards. I shoot only at tin cans at hit with this pellets 99% all the time at 30 yards with 6 pumps and at 50 yards with 10 pumps with the included 4x15 Daisy 808 scope. So the scope is not really that bad, but I have tried also another scope a Centerpoint 4x32 non AO with mil dots. That did increase the accuracy of course, but the included scope is good as it is if you dealing with pesky cans and plinking. My 880 is not modified.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull could be a little lighter, but after all them rounds I put through it, the pull got somewhat lighter and is not bad at all right now. Any other than that it is a good easy to handle, accurate and fun plinker I shoot regular and prefer it even over my Benjamin Trail NP2 nitro piston gun for fast and easy fun plinking.

    What others should know:

This is a gun with a rifeled barrel and I shoot only lead pellets with it and no steel BBs. This is to preserve the rifling in the barrel and not to wear out prematurely. I suggest to do so, even if I have not proof for this claim, but I heard this a lot on airgun forums. Also keep that pump head and the trigger lubricated, and it will do good service, I use 10/30 W non deterrent motor oil. Keep it clean and give some normal maintance and it will be a reliable and fun gun to use. There is some very good info about it, how to make it more powerful and with a better trigger on several forums like GTA (gateway to airguns) and others, so there can be a lot of done to it. There is guys there they using it even for small game hunting. So buy this one if it fits your bill and enjoy it. It is on the outside mostly plastic, but it is very sturdy and without abuse long lasting.

    Things I liked:

It's a lightweight, accurate, easy to operate, and affordable air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice to have a metal receiver, but at the price it's receiver which is durable enough in my opinion is just fine. Overall there's not much I'd ask the manufacturer to change about it that isn't better left for me to do at my own descretion and ability.

    What others should know:

Shooting BB's is a waste of it's potential as they're not as accurate, so I'd stay away from them. The scope is not great at all, but they're a 6$ item anyways and the gun is the important part. It works best to tilt the gun downwards when loading pellets so they don't fall into the bb port. My 880 shoots about 1/4" at 10 yds with crosman piranha pellets using open sights, so they would be a good first pellet to try in this gun. It can take up to 10 pumps but you don't have to use 10 every time just because you can, 4 pumps is a good max for plinking out to 20yds. It has plenty of power for pests such as sparrows or mice and small rats, but I'd not use it for anything bigger unless you're inside 10yds and know you can make a head shot every time.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing to change. The days of this model with metal receiver and wood stock are over. Rather keep the price down. Nothing wrong with the way this one shoots!

    What others should know:

Pumps easier and weighs less than my Benjamin 392 with about the same FPS and accuracy.

    Things I liked:

I bought this on a whim when a local brick and mortar was clearancing them post holiday for $20. The rifle works well with both pellets and bb's. Good velocity and accuracy up to 30 yards. I like that it does not have the spring piston recoil that makes those air rifles hard to shoot. Quiet enough that i can shoot at spinner targets in the backyard from the upstairs window without bothering the old lady.

    Things I would have changed:

The included scope was unusable. A tasco airgun scope ($7) from the same retailer was much better. You have to develop technique to load pellets, especially with scope on. Pointed or roundnose work best, the weight on the front will help them fall into place. Be careful to position the bolt do the pellets dont fall into the bb hole. Rifle does not weigh much, so hard to hold steady.

    What others should know:

I liked it do much that I went back and got another gor $20 and left it in the box in case this one wears out.

Great price, very accurate (for the price), GREAT first gun for young kids. My daughter is hitting coke cans at 80' with this rifle day one.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading pellets is a little challenge. If you have an optic, tryjng to drop them so they land head first in the chamber is difficult. My daughter keeps getting them down the BB loader. I think this area needs a change, perhaps like Crosmans Pumpmaster 760 has a magazine? Very pleased with the gun, but might return for the Crosman 760 due to the magazine.

    What others should know:

For accuracy, stick to the pellets.

    Things I liked:

This is a very inexpensive pellet rifle that shoots well. I use it for pest control and it works very well for that. I don't use a scope on it but rather use the regular sights which are satisfactory for 10-15 yard shots with .177 lead pellets. This air rifle is also great for the younger airgunners to learn on.

    Things I would have changed:

For the price there is not much you can change and still have a $50.00 pump up air rifle.

    What others should know:

If a person is looking for a good pest control air rifle that will definitely not break the bank, then this will do the job. It is a .177 cal. and made mostly of plastic but it still has the ability to take care of small pests and that is what I use it for.
