Things I liked:Very well built. Hit 8 out of 10 bulls eye right out of the box with open sights. This gun is extremely accurate. Things I would have changed:Nothing. Maybe add sling swivels. What others should know:In today's World of poorly made sporting goods. It is refreshing to see this kind of craftmanship. Things I liked:I bought this gun to accompany my HW97K. As with the HW97K, this gun is extremely accurate. After a few hundreds shots, I've got silver dollar size groupings at 50yrds. Finish is excellent all the way around with no plastic parts. I bought mine in .22 cal. for target and hunting. All the excellent ratings are substantiated. Things I would have changed:I liked the gold trigger on the HW97K and this one has a silver trigger. And yes, that's being picky. It would also be nice if the manufacturers would find a convenient way to add a sling for a long day of hunting. These are top quality guns but they are heavy. What others should know:Do try a variety of pellets. I found that the slightly larger diameter pellets fit better and offered more consistant grouping. I found that the Air Arm Falcons worked very well as well as Beemans copperplated pellets. Pyramid Air was very helpful in their suggestions for pellets. Thank you. Comments

I have two HW 30 rifles. HW brand is superior to all others in thieir price range. RWS are nice, but are yesterdays brand. THe RWS 34 and Shutze are very nice, the other RWS have the handling qualities of a piece of 2x4 Douglas Fir. Other than HW, for a grab it now , in the closet air gun, I turn to GAMO.

Please note that the aforementioned grouping at 50 yards was achieved by the aid of a 16X scope. I did this to verify its accuracy but have since removed the scope and restored its natural beauty. Now with open sites, pattern is quarter size at 25 yards. Both the HW97k and the HW77k are great shooting guns. Things I would have changed:The ONLY two things I would change is to thread the barrel for an airgun silencer (not legal in some states but OK in others) and I would swap out the spring for one of them gas piston systems for slightly smoother operation.
What others should know:If you have the opportunity to get one of these then don't think about it - it's a no brainer, just buy it - you will not be disappointed
