Any time you change ammo from when your gun was sighted, your accuracy WILL change.

Things I would have changed:Too light - impractical for just about anything except boosting FPS by gun manufacturers. What others should know:At 5.4 gram, these are on the low-end (or maybe they ARE the low-end) of pellet weights, and with less weight comes less penetration, less force of impact, and less stability in flight. For instance, the GAMO Big Cat (rated 1200fps with Raptors, 1000 fps with lead) can shoot a 5.4 gram Raptor at 1200 fps. That means the rifle has 17.27 foot-pounds of muzzle energy. Now, take that 17.27 foot-pounds of muzzle energy and push an 8 gram pellet out, and you'll be shooting it at 985.88 fps.
While the 8 gram pellet is going ~200 fps SLOWER than the raptor, it will also more likely hit what you're aiming at and do more damage, both of what are important if you plan on hunting/pest elimination.

They all had equal accuracy at 25yards, at 50 yards they were still equal, but at 75 yards raptor were most accurate. Raptor are very light also at 5.4grains compared to most 7.4-7.9grain, Raptor WILL crack the sound but it still remains accurate. With Raptor pellets I can penetrate a 1/10th in. thick steel. The lead could not penetrate and most richocet and some got lodged into the steel.
You wont regret buying!

With caps on the pressure from a sealed 16oz vessel of water was too strong. Very effective, acurate and lethal for medium powered rifles BELOW 700 FPS in my perspective. Also at all different velocities the pellet never loss its form regardless of what it came in contact with, ie concrete, wood and or sheetmetal. Does NOT give up its energy to deforming and expansion- it punches perfectly round holes! Things I would have changed:More information on the base metal. Very lite weight to be so strong and durable under the conditions of a fast moving projectile. What others should know:Buy alot on your first purchase- takes time and many pellets to get a good zero on any rifle due to its lite weight any velocity increase mathching your barrel type and scope.

these pallets rule supreme on small game-believe this or not,I've pulled off a one hit kill on a large possum@65metres...it dropped off it's branch like a stone.NO EXAGGERATION.Rifle used?I hear you ask....Gamo Hunter 1250.Have never and will never be able to do that with lead.
What's this about piston slap??supersonic velocity does not occur until pallet has well cleared the muzzle.Need proof?shoot a target @1.5M(5feet)or closer, there will be no sonic crack. Also sit your chrono 15-20M away(50feet)then try telling me that 1600ft/sec does't occur.Pallets need to accelerate-they don't bust sound barrier,or attain maximum velocity the very micro second they start to move from the breach. As for groupings, the prior mentioned critter was slapped right where my specialised Gamo 4x32vampire scope's crosshairs were trained.thanks for your time.

I live on 5 acres and the closest neighbors arent very close but already had them come by to see what I was shooting for fear of it being some kind of rifle. Accuracy seems quite good with these. After reading the other reviews I expected them to be all over the place but this was not the case.

I can't suggest you use them in a spring rifle.

Things I liked:high velocity, accuracy at long rang Things I would have changed:make a heavier grain pellet What others should know:these pellets are AMAZING when your rifle is under 800fps anything over and you should be using a heave pellet, upwards of 10g

Things I liked:These little pellets are great supersonic rounds for my gamo whisper. They make a distinctive crack, shockwave type noise when they go supersonic.
The lack of lead makes them very clean and hassle free to handle, this feature also makes them barrel friendly.
Accuracy was more than acceptable at 55 degrees with a slight crossbreeze

Accuracy was more than acceptable at 55 degrees with a slight crossbreeze hitting soda cans consitantly at 25 and 50 yards so im pretty satisfied in the accuracy department. Things I would have changed:Some where perfect shape while others where mishapen at the skirt/base causing an odd fit in the barrel sometimes. Better consistancy between rounds would be nice but I cant say im that dissapointed considering they come shipped in a plastic sleeve and not a more protective metal tin.
The only other thing I might change is to offer them in larger quantitys. What others should know:You shouldnt buy these pellets if you have money riding on your next shot but for casual plinking and showing off velocitys this is a great, albiet expensive but still pleasing pellet to shoot.

yes i saw the clip at gamo were they killed the pig useing this pellet
and i used the calculator on this site to messure energy at 1600fps 28ftlbs at 1200 16ftlbs
but fired out my gamo cfx failed to penetrate farther than a crosman hunting point 7.9gr on my balistics gel target
a beeman kodiak in a 1000fps rated gun gets about 760fps (14tlbs) went twice as far as the raptor
crosman ultra magnum 4X as far

What others should know:I bought into the hype finally and decided to try these new pellets. My standby pellet (Crosman pointed 7.9 grains) shot decent groups of 3/8 inch at 10 yards and the penetration was great, being 4 inches into wet phonebooks. The Raptor pellets brought my groups smaller, penetration was the same, although they punch a clean hole in 3/8" plywood, whereas the Crosman pellets leave an exploded exit hole. This leads me to believe that the Raptors don't deliver as much energy into the target.

The alloy doesn't allow expansion, instead fragmenting as would glass.
Being a harder alloy, they also poorly fit the breech, and I am sure allow considerable blowby of air, which will cause early instability and piston slam due to lack of a good seal. What others should know:While Gamo's idea may have sounded like a good one at the time, it falls apart in the real world, and for all the reasons they cite as virtues for the Raptor.
Supersonic pellets are unstable in flight due to the induced transonic shock wave.
Also, Gamo grossly inflates the velocity figures by claiming their supermagnum Hunter Extreme can develop 1600-1650fps with this exact pellet.
Well, folks, the Hunter Extreme doesn't even cross 1400fps, as chronographed on the blog entry.
Gamo should stick to their more well executed products, such as the CFX and the Magnum, Rocket, and Tomahawk pellets.
