|Ammo Type||Cleaning pellets|
Things I liked: Works good enough.
Things I would have changed: A little over priced.
What others should know: If your rifle has a suppressor like my Umarex Octane then you can't simply run one of these cleaning pellets through the barrel because the pellet will fall into the suppressor and never be seen again, maybe. I know this because it happened to me and I tried retrieving the lost pellet with no success. Here is what I did to keep it from happening again. I took a 2"x 6" piece of paper, rolled it up and inserted it inside the suppressor until I felt it touch the barrel. I let go of the paper allowing it expand and grip the inside of the suppressor. Now the pellets will fall through the paper tube and not into the suppressor. It worked better than I thought it would.
Things I liked: Nothing. I put one down the barrel of my Octane from the breach using a cleaning rod and it disappeared. I assume that it is somewhere in the noise suppressor. Although I have shot the gun since then with no apparent ill effects, I don't know if it is still in the suppressor or what or if it will ever cause a problem.
Things I would have changed: Tell people who have suppressors on their guns that the suppressor will eat the pellet.
Things I liked: Haven't got to use them as of yet, but I like the fact that I can wet them down with solvent and push them through the barrel without having too push a wire brush cleaner through..
How many do you have to shoot through your gun to clean it each time? Should I do it after every time I shoot? Also, will it work just as easily on a nitro piston gun? I know it's 3 questions, but if you can answer all 3 of them, I'd greatly appreciate it!
You only should use them when you see accuracy start to fall off. Make sure you shoot at least 2 or 3 pellets at one time with these because they are so light, shooting just one would be like dry firing it. And yes, they work just fine in NP's.
