A favorite among competitive shooters and sportsmen! Whether you're looking for power, accuracy, or excellent fit and finish, the TX200 MkIII is the gun. It's ideal for anything from competing in local field target matches to just shooting for enjoyment.
The TX200 Mk III features a richly finished Monte Carlo stock with a raised cheekpiece and deep, flawless bluing. In addition to the superior fit and finish, the TX200 Mk III features a two-stage trigger and an automatic safety. Loading is via a sliding breech, which is revealed when you cock the underlever. You have to mount a scope since it doesn't come with open sights.
The TX200 MkIII shoots at 900 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
in .177 and 700 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
in .22. Air Arms products, including the TX200, are known for accuracy in all calibers. Use the guns for hunting (.22 recommended) or field target (.177 only). You don't have to stop there! Use it for plinking, shooting spinners, killing tin cans or popping paper targets. Enjoy the relatively quiet report and moderate recoil from a gun that has a long heritage of accuracy. Scope and mounts are not included.

Things I liked:This rifle shoots great patterns. After zeroing I immediately shot two squirrels at about 30 meters. Both were head shots. The fit and finish is awesome and I like the trigger.

What others should know:I've shot about 250 pellets through it and the patterns keep getting better. Right now it's definitely hit or miss when you will receive your order from Pyramid Air. I ordered mine May 5th and received it June 19th. Their customer service was great. I was leaving town to visit relatives and they redirected the shipments so I was able to pick it up (no charge).

Anti-bear trap latch has multiple catch points so the cocking stroke can have a “second half” grip for positive cocking of spring and setting of trigger and safety. Precision two-stage trigger mechanism. Relatively large loading port.
Things I would have changed:Nothing.
What others should know:My TX weighs in at a hefty 10 pounds, 13 ounces equipped with Leapers Accushot 3-12x44 30mm scope and one piece high profile mount. This much weight provides good stability for a magnum springer but reduces one’s desire to carry it very far.
High quality trigger components enables tuning and polishing of sear contact surfaces for a truly superior trigger action. Modified trigger is fully the equal of double set triggers I’m accustomed to.
Loading port is relatively large but is designed for right-handers. It may be cumbersome for lefties, especially if working beneath a large objective scope. I believe even the left-handed model of stock has the loading port on the right side. The receiver will accommodate about 14 inches of scope without covering the loading port. The scope identified above with its 2 inch sunshade is 16-3/8 inches long and extends 1/2 inch in front of the loading port but stands 7/16 inch above the receiver. Ask the experts at PA if you have concerns about left hand loading.
This rifle is a hard act to follow and few others in the same league are up to the job.

Things I liked:#1 is the accuracy! I purchased the .177 beech version about 3 months ago. I fell in love with this rifle the instant I opened the box. As others have talked about so much, there is NOTHING to complain about when it comes to the wood finish, and bluing. I scoped mine with a Leapers 4-16x56 Accushot AO IR scope with 1 piece Accushot rings. GREAT combo. I have consistently surprised myself with the shot groups achieved with this rifle. This was my first springer & definitely changed my whole opinion & ideas of what these were capable of. It is a little heavy especially when the scope is mounted, so shooting from a rest is almost a must. This now has a special place in my collection as "my first quality springer". I am shooting at 25 yards in a backyard range and continuously pull this out when I"m having any difficulty zeroing in another rifle or think I have an issue with a particular pellet, etc.... I always pull this gun out and it proves that there is nothing wrong with THIS one, or my pellet of choice. Every time, the only problem, is me. I need to understand that not all other rifles are as easy to zero in and shoot 1/8" groups at 75 feet every day. Except for this one....
Things I would have changed:The ONLY thing I can think of might be the weight. But, given the quality of the wood stock and impeccable metal. You can't have the best of both world's with this quality of gun. You have to accept the weight to get this kind of quality.
What others should know:Since this purchase at the beginning of spring, I have acquired another AA TX200 MKIII, but I opted for the Walnut one this time and a Centerpoint 4-16x56 AO IR scope. JUST AS NICE AS THE FIRST. The walnut finish is everything that I have read from other owner's. I have also acquired (2) Beeman HW97K's. One in .177 & one in .22 caliber. One scoped with the Centerpoint 4-16x56 & one with a BSA Tactical Sidewheel 4-16x44. Those are a WHOLE different review, and YES they are JUST AS NICE as this! Trigger breaks at 2lbs 1.1oz., ammo used crosman CPL. I've never owned a rifle that had less than 7 fps. deviation shot to shot. No doubt this contributes greatly to the rifles accuracy and consistency. I'm limited to ten meters in my back yard. I have never shot one holers before this rifle. I have a lot of hunter and plinker rifles and thought there was not a lot of difference in accuracy between the two. I stand corrected. If you are a fair shooter you will become a good shooter. If you are a good shooter this rifle will give you the confidence to go out and enter FIELD TARGET events. I asked technician Bah about the ins and outs on this rifle. He said the most common complaint is the rifle will not cock or shoot. You must pull the cocking lever all the way back till you see the safety button pop out. If not, the rifle will not shoot or the cocking lever will not return to rest. And this happened to me. LOL. I asked how many of these come back for warranty? The reply was, compared to the others, little to none. My miss fix it ERICA C. concurred with every thing Bah had said. SOLD, I pushed the button to order. TREAT YOUR SELF BUY THIS RIFLE

Things I would have changed:Include iron sights
What others should know:Cocking the underlever will be slightly different than any other gun you've used. You have to pull the cocking lever all the way back to cock the trigger and insert a pellet and then press the anti-bear trap button on the side. The pellets I suggest for this rifle would be any from RWS or the Gamo Match wadcutter.

What others should know:I was suprised how large of a gun it is in person. It is much wider and heavier than my 22LR rifle. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful gun. One thing I was most impressed with is the PyramydAir staff. when it arrived, the Airhawk scope was damaged. I had contact with Rochelle and Scott with regard to my returning it for exchange which was both easy and fast. I researched both the gun and several internet companies before my purchase and noticed that everyone whom bought from PyramydAir noted the wonderful staff and how helpful they were "if" there was a problem. I was sold on the customer service and still am! Great job!

Things I liked:My Air Arms TX200MkIII is a .22 caliber walnut stock rifle. This rifle is the premiere springer in the world today. Absolutely stunning to look at. Handling is very comfortable and accuracy is superb.
Things I would have changed:Tighter spring guides to reduce spring twang. This is not an issue with accuracy because the shot cycle has finished before spring twang is noticed. This is merely a shooter comfort issue. Better finish on internal trigger parts. You can feel the machine marks on the moving parts inside the trigger. These marks will wear away after a few hundred shots or can be polished out with stones or fine emery paper.
What others should know:Get a TX200 before you die.

Before you tell someone how much it costs; let them shoot it first....then you won't need to send for paramedics!!! Loading the gun's breach takes some practice and the weight of it is tiring after a days hunt with it.
What others should know:Listen folks, this MKIII is a real nice shooter!! To be completely honest.... I was perplexed between the GAMO CFX and the TX200MKIII, so I got both of them. (.177 cal.) I gave the CFX to my nephew who is 13 and it works beautiful for him. (I like the fixed barrel design over the break barrels) I got to sight in BOTH rifles so I can attest to the designs of each. The TX200MKIII is in a class all it's own, whereas the CFX follows behind in both power and asthetics, but only by a little. I sighted the TX200MKIII, at 10, 20, 30, and 45 yards for fun...seeing what it would do. Once I was on the bulls eye at 45, I found that I was shooting about an inch low at the 10 yard line. The TX200 DEMANDS that the shooter maintains his shooting discipline and if so, it rewards you with pin point accuracy. At 100 yards....I could hit the rifle target if I elevated the crosshairs to sit right atop the ply-board. The sound of the projectile hitting the board was solid and true. Firing these two air rifles side by side, the CFX was both louder and slower. (using Crossman Premier pellets) The CFX was getting about 750 fps and the MKIII was near 930 fps. On the loudness scale of 1-10; 10 being the report of a .22 cal rimfire.....the MKIII was about a 3.5 and the CFX being 4,5 to 5. (my assessment) RABBIT hunting??? Both kill wonderfully...if your shots are less than thirty yards, EXPECT clean kills!! Complete blow-throughs!! (either gun) My nephew made a clean headshot (TWICE) on birds that were 35 yards using the CFX!! AMAZING!! If you are looking for an airgun that not ONLY shoots superbly, but also has the asthetics of a premium hunting rifle (...and you don't mind the heaviness or weight)....the MKIII fits the bill. If you desire accuracy without all the "BLING"; then save a few bucks and shoot the CFX. As for me? I had the extra cash to play with AND I LIKE BLING-BLING!!! My happy scale IS blown way off the charts with MY TX200MKIII. .....and my nephew is maintaining the rabbit population with his CFX in Missouri!! Whatever your choice; just remember to shoot SAFELY and RESPONSIBLY!!!

Things I would have changed:ITS A BIT HEAVY, BUT LIKE MY HARLEY THE WEIGHT MEANS QUALITY IN MATERIALS ESPECIALLY THE METALS. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I DO WISH THE GUN WAS A LOT LIGHTER THOUGH, BUT YOU CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING YOUR WAY.
What others should know:I HAVE OWNED AND SHOT AROUND 20 AIR RIFLES. I HAVE QUITE A FEW GAMO RIFLES IN .177 INCLUDING THE NEW GAS SPRING WISPER. I THINK MY NEW AIR ARMS TX200 MAKES LESS NOISE THAN MY WISPER. HOWEVER, I HAVE ONLY OWNED THEM A SHORT TIME AND CONSIDER NEITHER ONE ANYWHERE NEAR BROKEN IN.
THE PEOPLE AT PYRAMID ARE OUSTANDING IN EVERY ASPECT. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW QUICKLY I GOT MY GUN. THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY ALL HAVE GREAT PERSONALITIES AND ARE VERY KIND AND CONSIDERATE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ALL OUR AIR GUN NEEDS. THANK YOU GUYS AND GALS SO MUCH FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND HELP.

Things I liked:Fit and finish of wood and metal. Mine is walnut. Metal finish is top notch.
Wood has a very nice grain. Super accurate. Many cloverleafs with a free hold. Pyramyd's customer service and tech support. Stacey is on her game.

What others should know:This rifle is like a sports car it must be driven properly to perform. I mean this; cocking it takes a special technique or it won't work. You can't simple pull the lever down and back. You must move it quickly and with some determination. Loading it takes practice due to the port design. It's easy at first to drop pellets. You must use ta small release to move the cocking arm back into place after cocking. According to Pyramyd many people call in to say "my gun won't work". They then like myself , have to be taught how to properly manipulate the rifle. I own five other similar rifles, so I'm no novice. Once you get it, It's easy and rewards you with great shots. But it is not take out of the box and shoot for many people. It takes some technique. In the end well worth it.

Things I liked:Amazing quality. Of the eleven air guns I own, the TX is the most well made, and as accurate as my Air Force Talon SS and Condor. Very easy to cock and heavy enough for good stability.
Things I would have changed:I don't know how they would change this, but difficult to load. Big hands, fat fingers. I started with an Air Force 4-16X50. A great scope, but with a 50mm objective and 15in. long, it took too long for me to load. I then mounted a Bushnell Banner 4-12X40mm. At 13 1/2 in. long it gave me a lot more loading room. Forget wadcutters, they're almost impossible to load. Stick with round nose or domed. I've had good luck with Crosman Premiers, the one's in the cardboard box.
What others should know:I was happy with my RWS's, but the TX 200 MK III blows them away. Fit and finish [I have the walnut, and haven't seen the beech], accuracy and beauty rivals my Browning firearms. More expensive than most "springers" but worth every penny.

I have tried a few out there (8 to be exact) since last year and this is it for me until someone tops the quality and feel. This is the holy grail of springer rifles under $600.
Things I would have changed:Well I would change the rifle you are using now and get this one. AMEN !!!
What others should know:Forget what you know about air springers and the need for a powerful unit. This will put them all to the test. Read Toms feedback on this rifle. If you have been looking awhile then you have found it already. The TX200 MK III is worth the wait. I even enjoy the rifle just by looking at it I have the walnut stock in .22 cal. and scoped it with the Air force 4-16X50. This will be my main rifle till they top the build and quality and feel. This makes the others just plain old rifles from the county fair circus shooting booth. Trigger feel and adjustability will blow you away. Pellet types to use? any will work. I shoot cross hair style targets at 10 meters sitting down in my garage everyday and smile like a pro. If you do your part the TX200 MK III will do its part consistently PERIOD.

Things I would have changed:Nothing!
What others should know:This is an underlever and therefore has limited access to the breech. People with very large hands may find it difficult to load until they develop a technique. The gun has 3 holes for a vertical scope stop pin, so buy scope mounts with a stop pin. Find the one best pellet, and use it exclusively. I've found both Beeman Kodiaks and 10.3-grain JSB Exacts to be equally accurate in my TX. I would scope this gun with a Bushnell 6-18x40 Trophy or a Leapers 3-12x44 AO SWAT Mini-Size scope.

Things I liked:This is a beautiful and very well built rifle. Fit and finish are second to none. My first shooting session resulted in a best 10 meter group of .142 center to center off the bench as measured with dial calipers and then subtracting .177. It is extremely accurate and not too sensitive as to how you hold it either.

What others should know:The TX-200 is a big heafty full grown rifle. Pretty close to 10 Lbs with the scope and rings. It makes for a very stable shooting platform. I think it's a great value, well worth the asking price if you are wanting the finest. Thank's Air Arms and Pyramyd Air !
