Things I liked:Ease of set-up and quality of scope Things I would have changed:Trigger--very heavy for the type of rifle What others should know:I would consider strongly going with the CO2 type of pellet gun before going with a spring rifle.

I have an older Beeman 250 which was German made and originally cost about $200. The finish was flawlwss on the metal and the trigger was target grade. On this one the finish isn't quite as good, but still very nice and the trigger is really bad. Two stage with second stage being long, creepy, heavy, unpredictable and inconsistent. Even with the terrible trigger, this gun is an excellent purchase for the $200 price. I am shooting .25" groups at 10 yds with no problem. Overall it really is an excellent .22 air rifle for the $200 price. Things I would have changed:The trigger and the safety. The trigger as mentioned above is abysmal. The safety is inconvenient to activate and inactivate, especially in a hurry. However with the heavy long creepy trigger, accidental discharge is unlikely. What others should know:Beeman products are getting impossible to find and I find no hope for deliveries from the factory in the near future. This was about the only .22 Beeman rifle of it's type in this price range I could find in stock from any retailer nationwide. Pyramid had the best price and service of all.
I called Beeman and asked them about the nationwide shortage of Beeman products and long backorder times. They denied it, so I asked them if I could buy directly from them as I couldn't find any retailers that didn't have major long standing shortages and were receiving regular shipments from Beeman. They said yes, but when I asked about specific models, they had none (about 6 different .22 rifles). I asked when they would get more of any of these and they said they had no eta on anything. So I asked "Then are the shortages real?" He was silent. They were very deceptive at every step. Be aware that you may never see more Beeman products at least in the foreseeable future...

I put a laser site on it as well as adjusted the scope and I can get 1" grouping at 35 yards. I am impressed with this air rifle. I have tried .22 Beeman hollow points, Crosman pointed and they both yield great accuracy. The Beeman have a better punch, and the Crosman have better penetration. I also tried the Gamo .22 Rocket lead pellets with the hardened steel tip. OMG the power is really obvious. I am sticking with the .22 barrel. I assume that the .177 will yield a higher velocity projectile, but it will not have the same destructive power as the .22.
With the Gamo steel tip it will puncture a hole through 40 thousands aluminum from 15 yards. I’m really happy with this air rifle so fare. So far I have 200 rounds through it and the spring, trigger and the accuracy continue to improve. I little heavier than the other air rifles, but it screams quality so I do not care. I got use to it, so it is not a problem for me. Great overall deal for the money and surprising performance.
Things I would have changed:plastic trigger... What others should know:

I took a squirrel at 55.5 yards, had a clean pass through with hollow points at 33 yards (head shot), and a clean pass through (front shoulder to tail) at 28 yards with pointed pellets. You will not regret buying, if you can get beyond the size and weight. It performs as well as other guns, but at half the price. Things I would have changed:This gun is a bit big and heavy. Partly due to the quality construction, but I think they could have done better with the weight and size. Also, because it is a spring powered gun you will need good technique, especially beyond 35 yards. But this gun is still worth buying, especially for the price. What others should know:

FROM ABOUT 35 YARDS THIS RIFLE HIT DEAD ON CONSITANT . PROJECTILE MOVES SLOW FROM ABOUT 45 yards. BUT WHEN IT HIT, IT BREAKS BONES. THE GUN IS LOUD!!! CRITTERS SPOOK FROM THS SOUND OF MY GUN SO I BE REAL SNEAKY.
I FEEL LIKE IM USING A M21.
I get BOOM HS on pests and game at 40 yards and i bet it can go further. RWS SUPER POINTS IS WHAT I USE AND IT IS DEAD ON I LOVE IT .
USE ONLY ONE TYPE OF AMMMO FOR THIS GUN AND STICK WITH IT!!!
DONT MESS AROOUND WITH OTHER PELLETS.... ZEROS IT IN WITH YOUR FAVORITE PELLET AND IT WILL BE PERFECT.

The dark stain along with the shoulder pad and the nickle plating make this a very good looking rifle. Many of the other manufactures that make a gun in this price range do not install a shoulder pad. This is a nice touch. The scope works well; however, did take longer than normal to zero (it's most likely me). This gun has nice knock-down power. Things I would have changed:At 800 fpm it is not the most powerful gun; however, I would increase the power of this gun to lessen pellet drop in distance shooting. I have targets set at 35, 45, 55 and 85 yrds and the drop at 85 yrds is about 14 inches. Even with this drop it is still accurate. I can still coffee cup the group. What others should know:Decent gun. I have three other spingers (Benjamin, Webley and RWS) and a pump (Benjamin 392) and this is a very good gun for the money. This gun at can shoots groups that you can cover with a nickle at 35 yrds. I did; however, find several small imperfections in the stock and finish. This is the "China" Beeman and not the German made gun, so do not expect the finish of the higher end guns but it is nice for the price.

The rubber butt pad is comfortable and effective. Things I would have changed:This air rifle is a bit heavy. The hefty build quality and hardwood stock is felt in the weight. The trigger is predictable, but could stand to be lighter. What others should know:I sighted the scope according to the supplied directions, and in no time was able to do 2" groups at 35 yards. The scope is quite accurate once sight adjustments are complete. I purchased the .22 caliber model,. It has plenty of power, and I have been knocking off small varmints with ease. I am pleased. I believe you will like this air rifle, too.

I would also like to disable the automatic safety feature (which engages every time the gun is cocked) if I could. What others should know:I have the .22 and this gun is BIG and HEAVY! I have 5 air rifles (both in .177 and .22) and this one tops them all! It is also the heaviest. Someone told me this is the "Elephant Gun" and I totally agrees! Shoots great (with vise) due to it's weight but if you shoot off-hand you'd better be prepared! Excellent value for the gun!
