Single-shotA gun that has to be reloaded for every shot.
Big Bore 909S .45 cal. air rifle with a 244cc air reservoir. Dramatic power and excellent performance. It has a built-in air pressure gauge in the forearmThe forward part of a rifle stock that is gripped by the non-firing hand.
and 2 power levels. When cocking the gun, the first bolt stop is low power, the second is high.
This elegant second-generation design is combined with a brilliant metal finish. A checkeredA method of carving wood that leaves diamond-shaped protrusions to assist in gripping the gun. Also used for decoration. Sometimes incorrectly called knurling, which is a metal-cutting term that produces roughly the same pattern as checkering.
pistol grip and forearmThe forward part of a rifle stock that is gripped by the non-firing hand.
make it easy to get a firm grip on the gun. The stock is made of beautiful hardwood.
Let's look at some recent testing using a fill of 2700 psiPounds per square inch. An expression of pressure.
and a 180-grain roundnose bullet.
Shot 1: 704 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(198.14 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 268.64 joules) Shot 2: 673 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(181.08 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 245.50 joules) Shot 3: 649 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(168.39 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 228.31 joules) Shot 4: 634 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(160.70 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 217.88 joules) Shot 5: 520 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(108.10 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 146.57 joules)
Refilled with 2700 psi, the second string is below:
Shot 1: 713 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(203.24 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 275.56 joules) Shot 2: 681 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(185.41 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 251.38 joules) Shot 3: 670 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(179.46 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 243.32 joules) Shot 4: 518 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(107.27 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 145.44 joules) Shot 5: 655 fpsFeet per second, usually written f.p.s.
(171.52 ft-lbsThe potential energy of a moving pellet. The higher the number, the greater the energy. Often written ft-lbs.
or 232.55 joules)
In the second string, shot 5 was more powerful than shot 4. That's an anomaly. When the gun is broken in, that won't happen.
The gun can be filled to 3000, which will deliver more power. We used a relatively light bulletA single projectile.
for the above tests. If you use an even lighter one, your velocities will increase. If you use a heavier bullet, your velocities will drop.
A wide range of Air Venturi bullets are available in several designs and a multitude of weights suitable for the power of this rifle. Bullets are made to shoot targets or to hunt. The rifle is built with high-quality materials and crafted with superior workmanship. All metal parts have flawless bluing. Carvings add to its dramatic appearance.
Includes a FREE Plano rifle case!

Things I liked:Power, power, power. It's pretty much a real rffle because it shoots likes one only your using air instead of powder. I have been shooting the 170 and the 225 grain pellets and also other real .45 cal slugs.your not limited to just pellets, which the pyramid air pellets are pretty much .45 cal slugs.
Things I would have changed:I would have put a pressure gauge on it so you know how much air you exactly have left.
What others should know:Buy it while you can or if you don't have enough, then save every month like I did. But it's really affordable for a beast of a gun like this.My 909s blows through 2x4 or 3x4 lumbers of wood with no problem blowing off a giant of the wood in the back then traveling even further.

Things I liked:As long as you have the right set up to fill your 909s the proper way the 909s is an animal of a gun or I should say riffle. had a few problems with my scuba tank yoke but Boris the tech from pyramid air customized it for me making just one air hose with the pressure gauge connected to it so all 3000 psi would go straight into my riffle's air chamber. I used my new yoke with one hose to fill my 909s air chamber and I could hear the air going in the chamber and it would come warm so that's how I now that it's filling correctly. But I shot my 909s today, and the target was a 3x4 inch thick solid wood . And from 20 feet away with a 170 grain hollow point made a perfect hole in the entry and blew through the back knocking off about 8 inches high and 5 inches wide off the back of the 3x4 wood that iI shot. It shoots like a real riffle and will definitely take down any big game. It is a BEAST!
Things I would have changed:I would have put a pressure gauge on the 909s somewhere.
What others should know:Handle with extreme caution because it's just as powerful as a real gun or riffle.

Things I liked:I was shocked at the power of this air gun. Nothing approaches it in the air rifle category except handmade guns and they're alot more expensive. Decent fit and finish, definitely above average. At 20 yds., shot thru dense pressure treated 2X6 like it wasn't even there! Now I know why they hunt deer with this gun.
Things I would have changed:Styling is something I would change, but that is personal. I own the two chamber 909, but it's basically the same rifle.
What others should know:It takes alot of pumping with a hand pump to fill to 3000 psi. Little info available on the gun. Consider an air tank (scuba) rather than hand pump.

Things I liked:Power
Power
Power
Breach loader! You can use ANY pellet OR actual 45 slug!
You are NOT limited to pellets! :)
Just make sure they are the right diameter!
Things I would have changed:Add a power gauge, so you can see how much air you have left.
Also a power selector whell like on the 909 Ultra 9mm would be nice, but by far the BEST single shot big bore out there!
What others should know:From 20 ft, a 225 grn hollpw point went through a 2x4, 1" pressboard, & into a very large tree two more inches!
Too put it quite simply... It's a beast! :)

Things I liked:The thing is beautiful! Shoots hard but have not yet tested the accuracy at distance.
Things I would have changed:The lack of a manual is inexcusable considering the price of the gun. The online manual is a JOKE!
What others should know:If you are not familar with big PCPs and the care of them, don't buy for the online manual tells you NOTHING tha you need to know. I called about maintance and was told that it did not need any care.........NOT!
