Also re-design a new safety. The one they have now is junk. What others should know:This rifle is LOUD!! But, the first time you pull the trigger on this rifle, a big smile will come to your face! BEWARE, make sure your back stop is very sturdy!

Turn up the power on air and .........WHAMMO!! Money well spent, even tho it seems ridiculous to spend that kind of money on a pellet rifle. No "buyers blues" here. Things I would have changed:Ship the gun with silicone grease and spare 0-rings. I can't find 100% silicone grease anywhere in my area. I had to shim the rear of my 16X Leupold scope, not sure why I ran out of clicks. What others should know:You can not fill the air tank from a SCBA tank(different than the SCUBA) All fire department have SCBA tanks and a lot of them have cascade fill systems. I put together a safe and simple adapter to convert the 1/4 BSPP female fill adapter to male CGA 346. It screws onto a cascade SCBA fill system whip (with it's own bleeder and regulator). Way better than hunting down a SCUBA tank fill vendor!Pyramid Air should offer this fill option!

I have found that the rifle does not need the high fill rate and that gives me a lot of fill out of my scuba tank . Things I would have changed:Nothing What others should know:With the low fill rate and high performance of this rifle I think a person with just a hand pump would be thrilled . I have a Discovery as well and the low fill rate sold me on that rifle . I know that with a 490 cc tank this rifle would take a lot more strokes to fill than the Discovery but I also know that I would rather pump twice as many strokes to get to 2000 than to have to pump to 2700 all the time . Been there done that and dont want to return . Also with the modular construction of this rifle it is so easy to change the caliber and performace by changeing the barrel or tank that I think there is more value in this rifle than any other rifle on the market .

Things I would have changed:is the handle; I did change it as it was much too small for me. I made a nice handle out of electrician's tape. I also made a silencer. I would offer this model with a shroud... I bet you would sell more. What others should know:I have the CO2 adapter. It shoots, at 80 degrees - JSB exacts at 750 - 757 FPS. It shoots 23.7 gm. pellets at 600. On air it shoots 23.7 gm at 1130 FPS, powerwheel all the way up, 8-1065...7-1005....6-902 and 3-611. Nice, huh?

If this is representative of the "PCP dark side" then I'm all over it.
The (air)force is strong with this one...
;^) Things I would have changed:Besides my ardent wish for more variety and availability of heavy pellets/slugs in .22, the only thing I can think of is that I wish there was an available AF origin upgrade from the stock plastic grips, and more importantly, a factory option for a compact LDC to tame the bark of this thing.
I want to shoot this rifle far more often than my neighbors want to hear it. What others should know:Loud as all heck - especially when it spits out lighter pellets at anything higher than 6 on the power adjustment wheel.
It really gives a good rimfire sounding crack!
Crossman Premier domes (the nice cardboard box ones) seem to work very well for me at lower power levels, but heavier pellets really allow my particular gun to open up and shine. This thing eats Eun Jin 28 grainers like candy.
Although I skipped the pump and went strait to airing up off of SCUBA gear, I'm already looking for a higher capacity carbon fiber tank setup to extend my shooting sessions.

Use the .22 cal, it has precision accuracy and power.

Things I liked:This rifle is easy to shoot with little kick (I'd estimate the kick equal to dropping a golf ball into your palm from a height of 6 feet). The rifle is accurate, it's easy to get tight groupings. The rifle is light weight, which enables you to shoot longer with less fatigue. The integrated accessory rails are very convenient.

Things I would have changed:Put larger and more solid grips on the rifle, the stock grips are flimsy. Make the area within the trigger guard larger (currently tight quarters for adult hands). Make the trigger pull and safety lever operation crisper (there's a fair amount of play in each). What others should know:This rifle is so easy to shoot it may seem mundane at times. I use my springer when I want challenging target practice, and use the condor when I need to put a heavy pellet on target with the first shot.

Things I liked:I bought the Condor with refill SCUBA yoke & I love it! With a 3200# 80 SCUBA tank you get about 8-10 fills with 3000-2800 psi charges. By 15 fills the pressure will drop to 2000 psi & it's time to refill the SCUBA tank. The Condor will shoot OK down to 1800 psi, but prefers 2000+ at a setting of 6 or higher. Accuracy is as advertized-Outstanding

Accuracy is as advertized-Outstanding. I have owned a lot of good airguns - but nothing even comes close to the Condor. Things I would have changed:1. The safety is very hard to release and is not worthy of the rest of this well designed gun. After firing 5000 rounds in two weeks my finger has developed calous and is getting numb. Airforce needs to fix this.
2. It's too loud! The Condor sounds like a .22 short at best, a .22 long rifle at full power. If you live in the suburbs, buy a Beeman muzzle brake, #7129 to keep the neighbors happy & the cops away from your door. It only costs $30 from Pyramid Air & works. Looks cool too. What others should know:The Condor is the most powerful & best .22 airgun made. I'd steer clear of the CO2 version. Pressure is too low & CO2 is a pain to deal with. If you have a 3200 psi SCUBA tank it's a snap to refill the Condors tank with the refill yoke. Used 80 cubic inch tanks are about $100. I even bought a 3200 psi Flamethrower comperssor w/gas motor for it - $1000 shipped from Bargain Marge (361)937-3396.

This gun (in .22 cal.) seems to prefer the Beeman Kodiaks but also loves Crow Magnums, Eunjin and Jsb exacts and Predators! My Condor is incredibly powerful and and accurate! At power level 7, I can easily put 10 rounds (Beeman Kodiaks) in a less than dime sized hole with one flyer at 30 yrds. I have even taken one crow at 100 to 105 yrds. with the Eunjin pellets (measured with a $550. dollar laser range finder) and was a clean kill! this thing will blow through a 2x4 with Kodiaks at 20 yrds. at power level 6 no problem... Am I comparing apples to oranges when I say my neighbor can only group 10 in 2 1/2" with his R-1 at the same range? I can do only slightly better with his gun, I understand there is a big difference in shooting technique when it comes to shooting springers, but i own a couple my self! Things I would have changed:Cleaner plastic on the grip and forearm ( which is ten times better than any one of the Crossmans I own) and a lighter reset on the safety! What others should know:It is a little loud, but if You dont have the concern of bothering the neighbors, then this thing is THE CADDILAC of single shot pcp's!

I have a 3-9 Leapers scope on it and it is not unusual to get 1/2 in. and less 5 shot groups from 35yd. That's what makes target shooting fun. The adjustable power is great for experimenting with different pellets. Since I already had 2 PCP rifles in .22, I got my Condor in.177. I can always get a .22 barrel for it if I want to. That's another great feature. The lower mounting rail is really handy for mounting the bi-pod which I highly recommend. I also got my Condor with the CO2 adaptor and a 20oz. CO2 bottle. Just a quick adjustment of the scope and you can plink away all day without recharging, fantastic! This rifle has everything ! Things I would have changed:I think I would like to replace the pistol grip and forearm with custom wood. I wish the rifle had a pressure gauge. What others should know:The Condor is too powerful for .177 cal. at full power. However at setting #6 Crosman or Benjamin heavy 10.5 gr. pellets are super accurate and they rip through tin cans at 50 yds. like tissue paper. I get 70 or more shots at this setting before I can notice any loss of power. You can crank the power up quite a bit with 16 gr. Eun Jin pellets. These are also very accurate and have devastating power in the Condor.

The trigger is not great, but usable.

Things I would have changed:The factory stock and pistol grip blows. I replaced these immediately with custom mahogony grips that I fabricated. What others should know:The gun will not shoot at 3000psi. It is a 2700 psi gun. If you overfill the tank you will have to dry fire the gun until the pressure drops low enough to allow the valve to work properly. This is just something you need to know and not really a problem. Once you get below 2700 the shooting is awesome and it amazed me how many shots I got out of a tank.

I'd add extra weight to the hammer or install a lighter valve spring to utilize 3000psi pressure; everyone knows that this gun don't shoot like it supposed to straight from the box - the sweet spot starts around 2700psi. I'd start changing original butt plates to Morgan adjustable. I'd also think how to improve the grip because it is very ugly.In addition, instructions say do not adjust Condor's valve (top hat). Well, what do you do if it comes off on its own? It happens A LOT. So, AF guys, you need to work on that as well. One more thing: I'd start purchasing .25 cal conversion kits because it becomes more and more popular. What others should know:Things to think about. This gun shoots pretty good out of box. But, "pretty good" is not good enough for me. In order to get this gun where it needs to be, you'd have to spend at least another $300. Remember that AF rifles have no regulators, so everything in the gun has to work excellently. If you want maximum accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and power, consider modifying it AFTER the warranty period is over. Otherwise, just save up your money and buy one of the Daystate, FX, Theoben, W&S, AA, Falcon, or BSA rifles.
