What others should know:don't kick the bolt back to cock it because that will just break the bolt cover, which will end up breaking it for good and the gun wont shoot again. i recommend setting the stock on the ground and resting your palm on the lever of the bolt and applying your body weight to cock it if you have a hard time cocking it.

It is also the most accurate airsoft gun I've ever shot, i have taken repeated head shots past 35 yards (105 feet). Cocking lever should spring back to its original position (not that annoying but just something to add to make it perfect). Clip takes a little bit to get used to putting it in and taking it out. Bad reviews on this product mostly come from using .12 bb's. i tried using .12 and i thought the gun sucked as well at that point. But the second i switched over, it was a completely different gun. What others should know:the speed of the gun on the box advertises that it shoots 400 fps with .12 bbs not 350 fps. the box also says .2 bbs shoot 300 fps just as the website says. these velocites will increase with time as the gun breaks in. shoots accuratelly up to 30 yds with 12. bbs and 50-65 yds with .2 bbs this can differ with shots though recommened ages are 10-15 good for backyard battles and wars (unless your against people with $500 dollar guns it will do just fine in a war)

I may be able to stack some washers under the windage adjustment knob to bring it to the right, but I haven't tried yet...
Stock is hollow plastic and very front-heavy (no weight in butt).
Buttpad is just a decorative cap that snaps over the rear of the butt.
"Sling Swivels" are low-grade plastic and will not last long if you put a sling on -- I cut my swivels off with a Dremel tool. Likewise, one of the molded on bits of detail just behind the cocking lever -- it was cutting my hand when cocking, so it got the Dremel, also.
The R.I.S. rails (all one piece) obscure the front sight post -- they are packaged unmounted on the gun, so adding them is an option. I won't bother, I'll just give the RIS away to someone who wants it. What others should know:This is hard-cocking, with a really stiff spring, and shoots extra hard. Like I mentioned in the first section, mine shoots a lot harder than advertised (mine chronys at 405 fps with 0.20 gram TSD ammo).
The trigger spring is very stiff, too, so it takes some effort to pull the trigger.
Overall, the material used for the exterior is pretty flimsy, and this gun won't stand up long to hard use like skirmishing. For more "gentle" applications like sniping and backyard plinking, it's a great airsoft gun. Well worth the $40 price tag.
I'm very satisfied. For the price, it has some of the shortcomings I would expect, but it has some very unexpected good qualities that more than make up for all of them.

You can drop a round down the barrel to fire a single shot but i don't know if that damages the barrel so i don't recommend it. Make the strap things differently or not at all, especially the one on the butt of the gun that doesn't move. What others should know:It does NOT come with a speedloader and though you can manually load ammo it is not easy.

The rear sling hook thing was broken out of the box, but superglue fixed that, so its no longer a problem. We were battling in my backyard, and my friend was on the roof of the garage, in the back. From the front corner of the house, about 75 feet, I nailed him right where I was aiming for. This is an awesome gun, any good airsofter needs this gun. Things I would have changed:Make the mag release different. It broke, and I didnt really use it very much. Still works, I had to use superglue on that, too. Trigger is sensitive, so have the safety on if you're not ready to shoot. Also, I'd make the red-dot scope magnifying, if not, its really not any better than the sights alone. What others should know:This requires lots of cocking effort for the first few days you have it, you have to get used to it. This gun is awesome, you HAVE to get it. And, when it feels like the mag is full, keep trying to load, because it WILL hold 37 rounds, and sometimes you have to try harder to load to get the magazine full. To put it simply, this gun is near perfect. Get this gun. If you're a sniper, youll love it. Just get it, its great.

I have bought $80 sring rifles that are absoloute junk compared to this finely made M14. This gun will make your enemies on the field think twice about rushing you after you leave a bloody welt on their chest.

Things I liked:It has a heavy, real gun feel and shoots straight for a good 30-40yds. I use .20 bbs. Things I would have changed:bad magazine! Gets jammed alot and spits BBs everywhere on occasion. Read MoreThings I liked:Robust design, Fast cocking ability (if you're strong), M14 Design, price (great for a starting gun, it was my first airsoft gun), sights allow fairly easy target acquisition (once you get used to them) Things I would have changed:The magazine design is very bad, the BBs sometimes spray out all over the place when either putting it in the gun or just loading it!, Give it some more metal parts, build the spring mechanism better so it doesn't make that loud "klunk" sound when discharged, I would also allow the ability for a scope mount directly over the action (though it isn't very accurate so it wouldn't need it), fit a tighter barrel, metal sling swivels. What others should know:The sling swivels will break when you use them so don't use that, the accuracy is only good for a CQB (close quarters battle) and it doesn't have a high enough rate of fire for that so don't try it, you will get obliterated. Up close this airsoft gun hurts more than plenty, but it does lack in the velocity department: probably 270 fps w/ .2 gram BBs. This is not a sniper rifle, it is an assault rifle and to hit your target with accuracy and power you must be within 20-30 yards. For a first time beginner this is a good training airsoft gun to get used to the sport, but don't expect to win very many battles with this. I do recommend for beginners, but I don't recommend for intermediate and definitely not the expert. Hope this helps!

Things I would have changed:The thing I would have changed is how you load it. What others should know:Don't under estimate this gun it hits extremely hard. It may leave you bleading.

DO NOT put a sling on this gun. the back sling mount is stationary and breaks very easily. the hop-up is not very effective What others should know:the trigger is VERY sensitive. this gun is fun to shoot. dont plan on going into a huge airsoft war with this gun. it is OK for backyard war. the accuracy is rather inconsistent. this is ok for beginner arisofters playing with friends in the neighborhood that have similar guns. I recommend getting the Utg Spring Warhawk AK-47

You have to flip around the gun ,and in front of the clip port is the hop up adjustment dile. If your an airsoft sniper with not a whole lot of money its the best for the price. It has an adjustable sight too. from PYRAMYD AIR you can get extra clips

I was an idiot and got the gun from airsplat.com and i ended up spending $75.00 on it. You defenatly need a bipod ,but I got a nice $20.00 bipod which didn't fit ,so I suggest a cheap bipod that just clips on. The .20 g pellats are the best too use (most acurate)because .12 g pellats go 30 feet and then go strait up .26 g are just too heavy. dont buy a supper good scope. with .20 g it has maby 310 FPS (Feet Per Second) with the .12 g it has 400 FPS but way inacurate.a loader comes with it and 1 clip. PYRAMYD AIR is the best to buy from they package it the best. because when i bought it from AirSplat it got damaged in shipping and took 3 1/2 weeks to get to my house.

it's over all a good gun. Things I would have changed:even though its a replica its too heavy. The clips arn't the best in the world so get extras. get a cheap bipod and ammo. With all that you should do fine. What others should know:It's long and that gets in the way of some what close combat, its also damn heavy. 8 pounds may not seem like much but it is a lot.
WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T SHOOT YOUR SELF AT POINT BLANK RANGE IT WILL BREAK SKIN.

This is mainly due to the lack of fulcrum. Occasionally I had to pull out the clip because it wasn't feeding, and 3-4 bb's would fall out. But this is pretty rare. What others should know:This gun is BIG! Don't be fooled, this should be your primary gun. If you are carrying it as a secondary, you will have a tough time. Also it does not include a strap, and the rail comes detached (you have to screw it on).
