I was not expecting it to be accurate. From 25ft I shot consistant nickel size groups which for a smooth bore short barrel BB pistol is fantastic. I honestly can't figure out why it is so low priced.

Things I would have changed:Wood grips instead of plastic ones. Slide should eject a chambered BB and ejection hole should allow a single pellet to be loaded (dual ammo). What others should know:Use a rubber band over the plastic grips as that does get a little loose with time (mine is still quite new) and a shaky grip may result in poor accuracy.
You can empty the 18 bb magazine in seconds through single action rapid fire but if you wait a second or two between each shot under normal conditions you will get max power with CO2.

Things I would have changed:The grips, something MUST BE DONE ABOUT THE GRIPS, they look just fine and feel solid, but it simply doesn't latch in place, it just slides back with the slightest nudge, it can hinder your shooting experience and always seems to get in the way. Umarex should definetly redo the grips on the gun, maybe have a "push-in-and-pull-back" grip release latches on each side of the grips so that the grips lock solidly in place when firing, and unlocks and slides back when reloading the CO2 cartridge What others should know:Despite the annoying grip problems, the Umarex Makarov is a solid and powerful airgun, In my opinion, it's one of the finest and solid airguns on the market today, if you're a fan of the Mak, small pocket guns, and or just simple and effective airguns, the Umarex Makarov PM is well worth a buy, and at a mere $50 its too good to be true, get your Makarov ASAP, it's waiting for you to come pick it up!

I get 4 magazines per C02 cartridge. This gun shoots really tight groups at 10 yards, but my sample's point of impact is about 1" to the right of point of aim.
If you like C02 pistols, you love this Umarex Makarov.

but fun is the name of this game. Things I would have changed:Would be real cool as a blow-back, but given the power source it's asking a bit too much. The functional slide is good enough. What others should know:Though not covered in the manual this piece partially disassembles as the original by pulling down the trigger guard and pulling the slide back off its groove then up and forward. I would not attempt taking it apart beyond this point.

Things I would have changed:Not much you can change and still be authentic. What others should know:It's a Mak practice gun. Good way to practice your Mak techniques. It's not blowback, which means there should be fewer moving parts to break down, you get greater velocity and more shots from your C02.

Things I liked:solid, same size and weight as the real thing. makes for good practice indoors. my eyes aren't what they were but every shot hit the target at 30-35 ft. great price too. Things I would have changed:larger sights. What others should know:a fun gun.

Fits nicely in an Uncle Mike's No. 1 holster. Very nice trigger pull in double action. Single action pull OK, crisp but a little heavier than I like. Magazine drops out very freely, be ready to catch it! Sights give a good, sharp picture, but are small, like most pocket pistols. Full takedown disassembly like the PPK/S. Things I would have changed:The single-action trigger pull could be a little lighter. As it is now, it actually lifts the hammer slightly before it falls. Adjustable sights, as an option? Really not necessary on a pocket pistol plinker. What others should know:the magazine is a little tricky to load if you are clumsy like me. There are two holes at the top, and the trick is to cover one with a finger while you put bb's in the other hole. Otherwise the bb's fall straight out again. Spare mags not available yet, but Umarex says they will be soon.

This new toy allows me to do a lot of practicing in the back yard, for a few pennies, without disturbing the neighbors. The last 50 rd box of 9X18 Makarov set me back $25 bucks at a local gun store. Things I would have changed: What others should know:The weight and feel are very close to the real Makarov. The trigger pull is not nearly as nice as the real one. Fit and finish are very good. No Makarov collection should be without one.

Fit and finish is excellent for a gun at this price point, has a great authentic look. I compared it to one of my real 9X18mm Makarovs and my feeling is very favorable about this air gun. I especially like that it takes down just like the real deal (trigger bow down, slide back and up). Things I would have changed:Firstly, I think the method by which BBs are held in the magazine should be worked on a little. Sometimes, after you fill the magazine, when you release the magazine spring BBs spray out of the top. I have had a couple magazines empty themselves very quickly. Secondly, the one piece grip slides backwards to allow insertion of the CO2 bottle. This is a great feature, but the clips which hold the grip forward are not all the positive, so on occasion the grip loosens in you hand and slides back a little. This point is a big deal, as it is not too much work to just tighten your hand and relock the grip. I would like to see the clips have a little more hold however. What others should know:I cant say enough about Pyramid Air, I ordered two of these Makarovs late Saturday night and had them in hand Tuesday afternoon, I am not even sure how that was possible as most UPS shipments require at least two business days. I am not complaining though. =)
