The most popular rifle sold by RWS, this German rifle will keep you shooting accurately and powerfully for decades. While it doesn't have some of the frills that more expensive guns have, it goes head-to-head where it really counts!
RWS 4x32 Scope and RWS 2 piece C-mount included! The well-balanced hardwood Monte Carlo stock makes it easy to hold and shoot the RWS 34, and the raised cheekpiece gives you that extra edge. Quality is evident in other places, too: a two-stage adjustable trigger, a completely adjustable rear sight and a finely rifledThe inside of a barrel containing a spiral pattern of high and low areas that grab the projectile and impart a spin to it as it passes through. The most common type of rifling is called lands (the higher areas) and grooves (the lower areas).
barrel. No need to worry about cocking difficulty, as that's where this rifle really shines (just 33 lbs.). Both calibers are ideal for plinking, paper targets and spinners. Like to hunt? The .22 cal. should be your choice for small game and pests. If you're a serious airgunner on a budget, the RWS 34 was made for you!
RWS is known for standing behind their guns, and their warranty has always been viewed as the best in the business.
We've recommended a variety of appropriate pellets, which are listed in the Ammo link below. Click on the Accessories link to select from a variety of suggested scopes, mounts and other shooting gear.

Things I liked:Very well made, German quality. The accuracy is fantastic especially with the scope. I manage to hit a target the size of a quarter from 30 yards (bench rest) 9 out of 10 times.

Things I would have changed:I was a little concerned about the plastic trigger, but it seems to work fine and now that the weather is getting colder, a plastic trigger is less cold than a metal one. A rubber butt on the stock would be nice as well.

Things I liked:Its really acurate and the wood stock is really nice. The trigger is good along with the gun because its light enough so that you dont miss because it has a kick to it. almost any pellet shoots really well in it.

Things I would have changed:I would cahnge the trigger from plastic to something else, when I first got it it was hard to cock and im still trying to break it in. There is really nothing else I would cahnge. There is no butt pad on it eighter but thats what macks it uniqe.
What others should know:It is a really nice gun and it is worth the money i have just been shooting birds with it but i dropped one at fifty yards no problem i just aimed a little bit over its head and it dropped. I have a leapers 3-9-40 scope on it and its a two peace mount and i had another scope on it but it bustted my scope stop of. If your looking at this gun and wanting to get it do it because its a good gun but you have to get use to it and how to hold it because if you dont you will miss.

Things I liked:This rifle is heavy so it holds well off-hand.
Things I would have changed:Scope rings that came with gun would not hold so I went with a bkl one piece and it seems to be holding fine. Also, trigger is ok but takes some getting used to.
What others should know:The gun was noticeably stiff and the trigger

What others should know:The gun was noticeably stiff and the trigger was heavier for about 300 rnds. after that cocking and trigger improved greatly. The rifle seems to be getting better each time I shoot it

Things I liked:Well made quality air gun. Nice looking. Good enough to drop a pesty pigeon at 30-40 feet with rws 177 hollowpoint ammo. Consistent and good power. Works consistently with gamo, beeman, and rws ammo.

Things I would have changed:4x32 Scope underwhelming as stated in previous review. My particular RWS 34 177 is actually more difficrlt to cock than my RWS 350 Magnum 22. It is difficult to break in the beginning of the breakbarrell operation. I hope this problem will smooth out as the gun breaks in. Gun would be nice if it were lighter. Would be nice with butt pad. Stock sights could use more contrast for faster easier sighting.
What others should know:Scope not installed. Entry level RWS gun. If you want a gun from RWS that addresses this guns shortcomings, really shows RWS's attention to detail and quality and hunts pests easily, I cannot say enough about the RWS 350 mag 22 version with leapers scope. If I were looking for a good price for a pest eliminator I would look at Mendoza RM 600 instead.

Things I liked:The rifle is well made, nice finish and the wood stock is good.
Things I would have changed:The scope seems to be lacking. I haven't put it on since it has very little increase in image size and impairs aiming close up.

What others should know:I hit two raccoons and two gray squirrels solid with chest shots, aiming for the heart and lungs, but all four still ran off. I am changing ammo from the 22 superpoint to the Diabolo Baracuda to see if there is an improvement.

The rear sight elevation screw seems too short.
Plastic trigger. (My cheapo Chinese TechForce 34 even has a steel trigger).
What others should know:This rifle is very hold sensitive, and somewhat heavy. I would recommend a sling for extended hunts. Dont expect this to be a rapid fire gun, as the cocking effort seems fairly strong and I'm hoping that will become easier over time.
As mentioned before, the scope pretty much sucks so I use the open sights and they adjust out to around 30 yards before the rear sight elevation screw is ready to fall out.
This gun is pretty accurate, and a lot of fun to shoot. You will know when you hit the target since the .22 hits so hard.
It is well made and I plan to keep it because for the price you cant go wrong with the quality.
Just skip the scope package and get your own.
