    Things I liked:

Cost vs tanks, adapters and tanks. Gives me a little extra workout with each use.

    What others should know:

I have used this pump for almost two years to fill my Discovery air gun and now I've filled my new Condor several times. Filling from empty was a little chore, but topping off nisn't that big a deal. If you're so out of shape that this will whip your butt, then you need to sell your air guns and quit complaining to the rest of us. I'm 62 years old and can do this with no problems.

    Things I liked:

Pump worked fine for about 25 fills on my Sam Yang and then stopped working. Air will not move to next chamber on the upstroke so handle pushes back to down position and does not pump air.

    Things I would have changed:

    Quality control????

    What others should know:

I only weigh 165 lbs., so the last 1000psi requires dropping all my weight on the handle. Be sure to bend at the knees to do this.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

It is well made with the capability of use on other guns with quick disconnect. The fact that SCUBA tanks require a ton of obstacles - yearly VIP, 5 year Hydro, drive to shop for fill, they just are not worth your lazynes. If you are that lazy get an electric compressor for the small convenience, where a hand pump just requires your sweat.

    Things I would have changed:

Price? Everyone wants things to cost less.

    What others should know:

Take your time filling; be deliberate with your pump strokes. When you get to 2000+ psi it will require locked arms and your body weight to complete the stroke, pause then up, pause then down, pause etc.. This pump required 50+ pumps to get my Talon SS back up to 2900 psi – “200Bar” after 15 shots.

    Things I liked:

Works great, well made sturdy. Just gotta go slow complete strokes and pause to let air flow at top and bottom for 1 second.

    Things I would have changed:

Seems speedy, but hey its portable and seems to be high quality.

    What others should know:

Works great with my Benjamin Marauder .25 cal.

    Things I liked:

Assembly was easy, function was easy to understand, builds up pressure easily.

    Things I would have changed:

The need to pause at each end of the stroke was logical, but some sort of timer or indicator would help.

    What others should know:

It is important to pause at the end of each stroke, both up and down, which took some getting used to.

    Things I liked:

It does it's job. It is rated up to 3600 psi, more then what most pcp rifle need. Feels fairly well constructed.

    Things I would have changed:

Better gauge position, it is hard to read while pumping. In theory it should last, but would feel better if you could get a rebuild kit. Just in case.

    What others should know:

Sure you get a little work out, just follow the instructions. Take it easy, steady even strokes. this is high pressure pump not a basic 35psi tire pump. You can do tanks then you have to rely on fill stations or drop 3.5k for a high pressure compressor not to mention the cost of a tank($scuba or $$$carbon). This thing is portable and small, no gas needed or limited hours open. I have a cyst in my spinal cord which causes chronic back pain in between my shoulders and i have used this about 20 times since i got it mid July no complaints. 5 mins pumping and a 10 to 15 min cool down so the seals don't get ruined. I get in about 30 pumps a min and takes 3 5min pump sessions to go from 1800 to around 3000psi.

    Things I would have changed:

    Make it work...

    What others should know:

This thing will whip your rear-end... Get ready to huff and puff... my estimate is somewhere is the 750 stroke range to fill one tank... Do NOT waste your money on this...

    Things I liked:

Not too heavy, but made strong and durable. It does take a bit more effort as the pressure gets up higher, but you figure out real quick how to best apply your weight to the handle that works for you, Go with a steady rithum and it's not that hard to do. Portable air any place any time.

    Things I would have changed:

For the price I would have expected a sealed liquid filled gauge. Make the gauge a size bigger and canted up a bit more for us old blind guys. Maybe make the stand a bit longer. If you have a few extra pounds like me you only use your toes on the stand so it don't hit your belly on the upstroke. Add 2" to the handle. It would be nice if there was a way to make the base thread on so it could be broken down and put in a gun case.

    What others should know:

Does as claimed. Solidly built.Good value for the money.

    Things I liked:

It seems to be a well made HP Pump for the money. I've used mine a number of times and it functions very well until pressures above 170 Bar or about 2500 psi are reached, then the force required is a bit more. I'm shooting a Hammerli Elite 10 in .177 and find that a pressure of 145>160 Bar is all that's required shooting JSB Lites 8.5 grn dome pellets to give me very good 35 yard and beyond accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd like to see a larger more readable pressure gauge be made available as being that I'm a bit older the dial on the gauge that comes with the pump isn't that easily read. Maybe an angle correction or both would help considerably when trying to look down at it? Also a larger air inlet/filter to allow more air to enter the chamber easier. At least it seems that might help but AF has their reasons I'm sure?

    What others should know:

When using this pump it pays to wait about 4 seconds at the top of the stroke so the pump can suck in the maximum amount of air and for a couple of seconds at the bottom of the stroke. This allows you to pump in a more relaxed fashion while getting a maximum charge in the pump chamber. Also I've never had the pump get hot on me and I've felt the base too right after pumping.

    Things I liked:

Being self sufficent from large tanks.

    Things I would have changed:

Make Gauge easier to read while using the pump.

    What others should know:

My pump works extreemly well. Have no problem getting airforce tank to 3000 psi. Its a workout but well worth it. I weigh over 200 pounds which gives me the advavtage of using my weight on the pump handle. If you watch the how to use hand pump video with Tom Gaylord and follow his example you wont have pump problems.

    Things I liked:

    Modest Effort to pump

    Things I would have changed:

Volume per stroke and ease of field strip/rebuild, its not very durable

    What others should know:

I get between 3 and 5 psi per stroke while filling my condor tank, and about that while filling my 909 light hunter. First pump failed after 3 months of use, probably used it 20 times, its warrantied but its looking to be a hassle so I bought another to shorten down time. Next time (and I'm sure there will be) I'll be trying a different pump. Be sure your strokes stay nearly perfectly linear, or the pump goes ca-put even quicker

    Things I liked:

It pumps the gun to the required PSI

    Things I would have changed:

After 2000 PSI it becomes very difficult to pump and you better be in shape if you trying to pump and empty tank. Price is a little on the high side.

    What others should know:

    It works.

    Things I liked:

Excelent design, effective in pressurizing the large Airforce air tank. Sturdy / substantial.

    Things I would have changed:

Guage placement makes it impossible to view when pumping, but you will need a break any way. The pump foot could be much larger.

    What others should know:

Don't be afraid of the pump. I stayed away from PCP rifles because I didn't want to be tied to a tank and you hear about how it's nearly impossible to pump up the large Airforce tanks. I'm 43 in good shape, 6' tall and 175 lbs. It's not an issue for me and I have incorporated the once or twice a week fill into my early moring tricep workouts. 150 pumps will get me over 100 shots. I don't need tanks or to drive anywhere. It is a workout but it will make you stronger. I plan on buying another Talon SS so the wife and I can shoot together. I won't do a tank on that one either but I will pump it for her.

    Things I liked:

steel braided hose with foster fitting - i can pump up my paintball tanks too now - and the adapter fitting for AirForce tanks. Seems very well built .

    Things I would have changed:

Make gauge easier to read whilst pumping away furiously. Make foot plate larger.

    What others should know:

Cancel your gym membership if you shoot a lot, wow, what a work out.

    Things I liked:

Good pump never had any pump before. Good workout if useing, I am a 280# 6' 2" man at first you need to get used to.

    Things I would have changed:

Larger volume per stroke but then I would think it would get tougher to pump. Face guage up to see better. Longer hose. Over all good pump.

    What others should know:

Hold bottom comming up then use weight to get down stroke down. I put a small bright tape near 3000# so I don't have to stop, and keep checking, till I'm close to my target on my AF Talon SS is 3000#.

    Things I liked:

    Comes with the adapter

    What others should know:

On the initial fill, plan on about an hour to let it cool every 5 minutes or so. I weigh around 165 and I can forget about controlled pumping after 2200psi. It is more like I have to get on my toes, lunge in the air and force it all the way down quickly. It may say 3600 psi, but you'd better be a big ole boy to do it. The good news, there is no reason to go past 3000 anyway. I get maybe 10 shots with 43.2gn Eun Jins at power 10.0 to drop the tank down to 2500 or so. Figure on 5 minutes to go from 2500 back to 3000, probably 50+ pumps, and sweat will be there. It is a "fun" way to work out. I do believe it is the exact same pump that has the Benjamin label, but it comes with the AF adapter. As others have stated, I used loctite on the handle and base plate screws before I ever used it. It doesn't appear to be greased which could be normal, but I don't know, time will tell.

    Things I liked:

It works... I purchased it to go with my Marauder 25. I need to charge up every 16 - 20 rounds when the PSI gets down to 2000 and take it back up to 3200 and it takes approx. 5 minutes

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing I would change...I have read reviews that suggest a longer hose would be nice...but it takes around 10 pumps to get the pressure up high enough to start charging the rifle so the down side is a longer hose would increase this significantly

    What others should know:

The pump is not much harder than using a bike pump to get road bike tires up to 120psi...It just takes longer. It is a bit of a workout but it's more about getting the technique of pumping down to make reasonable. That said I'm saving up to get a SCBA tank.

    Things I liked:

Exudes quality, stainless steel hose, very heavy duty - I was surprised how heavy the pump was in relation to some very high-end bicycle pumps that I own

    Things I would have changed:

A slightly longer hose would be handy in certain situations.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

The fact that you can be totally self supporting in recharging your airtank. If you are going somewhere it is impractical to lug a scuba tank, this is all you need.

    Things I would have changed:

The baseplate screws worked loose within 3 days. I had to loctite them. Also, the handgrips slide around and work their way off the handle after a short time. Mostly just an inconveniance, but for $190 you would think there would be a better design.

    What others should know:

This is pretty difficult to pump up a tank. Once you get to 2000psi, it's so stiff I have to drop all my 185 pounds down onto the handle with my arms locked slowly and steadily. I've never even gotten near 3000psi. Way too hard. But the good news is, the AF Talon SS fires beautifully anyway. I will probably shop around for a used scuba tank to keep at home and maybe build a wooden rack that the tank will lay horizontally in to transport it in my pickup.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

I like the idea of having a backup way of filling my guns.

    Things I would have changed:

Having only using this pump one time, I found it very hard to pump up to 3000 psi, and maybe this should have a second or another stage for the ease of pumping at high pressures.

    What others should know:

If you are a small or slight of build person, this pump is extremely hard to obtain pressures near 3000 psi.
