Things I liked:

4 clamping bolts and 3 stop pins make this one solid rail adapter. The packaging comes with no instructions, and believe me, instructions are needed! There are 8 bolts total, 4 on each side of the clamp. The 4 shorter ones are there to only be pressed against by the longer ones in the case of the dovetail being too wide for out of box. My Crosman TR77's slot is wide so I used UTG's method seen in their online video to widen the clamp by adding increased pressure on the 4 long bolts against the 4 short ones until the clamp spreads the necessary millimeters. Then... once on the rail, you first align your stop pin, then you have to remove all 8 bolts and re-install the long bolts in the opposite side with the short bolt holes and tighten everything down. The short bolts then go to the parts drawer. I feel it is never going to come off. This is a quality part in both design and finish. I mounted the UTG Bugbuster scope w/ the QD rings and it is tight--a perfect fit.

Things I would have changed:

C'mon UTG--add instructions to the package! I'm a technician by trade and fix machines daily but I was stumped by the mounting design of this thing until I watched the video and then it made perfect sense. But if you were to buy this at the mall and head off to the field to install it---and even if you figured out the spreading procedure--- you would never get it on right because of the reversing the long bolts to the other side step.

What others should know:

UTG adds 2 extra screws: 1 long bolt and 1 stop pin just in case it should roll off the table to disappear forever. Also, note that the bottom of this adapter is undercut so it can mount on both flat and round topped receivers like my TR77. Nice crisp printing of the the slot assignments in white. Highly recommended.

Things I liked:

Nothing.

Things I would have changed:

Make it a two-piece base so it will actually hold onto a dovetail rail.

What others should know:

Completely useless. The base of this is a single piece, so there is actually no way to tighten it to the rail. I tried putting it on an Airforce Texan to use Picatinny rings to mount the scope, and it just would not grip the rail. By the instructions, they want you to run the long screws all the way through and use them to, I don't know, bend the solid, one-piece aluminum base to squeeze the dovetail? The thing just doesn't work.

    Things I liked:

Beautifully made. Fits perfectly and, I think, absolutely necessary on most break barrels to get a comfortable "cheek weld" when shooting. Without this Adapter, I have to put my head forward to see clearly through the rifle scope and then it is hard to get a comfortable "cheek weld". This Adapter mounts very securely and does not move when mounted on my high FPE Hatsans. My rifles need little adjustment over time and use.

    Things I would have changed:

    None.

    What others should know:

Keep your instructions in case you want to remove the Adapter. There is a special technique to remove the Adapter!

    Solid mount,amazing machining

    Things I would have changed:

Others mentioned that it does not work on an airforce texan. It does but you have to put the bolts extremely tight.

    Things I liked:

I really like the generous room for the offset, with a lot of smaller or shorter scopes it's very necessary for proper I relieve. The rail comes very tight and with spreader bolts much like be much like BKL The rail comes very tight and with spreader bolts much like be much like BKL and the quality is very comparable aswell. The stopping pin is a nice bonus although it didn't work for the proper offset I need on my Crossman. Not a game changer I think I'll be fine without using that. The instructions were very easy to read and follow and it came with torque specs.

    Things I would have changed:

It's great the way it is but maybe spec it to strictly picatinny.

    What others should know:

The instructions are kind of tricky to find in the packaging. They're in between the outer and inner cardboard.

    Things I liked:

This UTG picatinny mount does exactly what it is intended to do, at least when mounted in a standard 11mm grooved receiver, and at least when mounted in the crisply executed and finely machined grooves of quality receivers. Out of the package the mount is just a bit wider than the 11mm grooves, so in my experience there was no need to widen the mount further. The directions that are included are very clear, both as to text and photographic illustrations. Follow them precisely and deliberately, and the mounting should succeed perfectly. Tighten the four long machine screws slowly, deliberately and sequentially, rotating between them to maintain an even tightening along the length of the mount. I found this mount to be precisely engineered and handsomely finished. It mounted very solidly, and did exactly what it claimed to do. I was entirely satisfied with the result.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

As for the claim of its being a "universal" mount, I cannot speak to that. However, I am not certain than I would wish to mount this on a 3/8 inch receiver, as I might be a bit concerned that tightening it down to 9.9mm might over-stress the aluminum, even if executed slowly and carefully, as a number of reviewers have complained. Also, be aware that not all grooved receivers may be machined as crisply, deeply, exactly and uniformly as others. The UTG is a precision product designed for a precise application.

This adapter rail has helped me mount anything on all of my Airforce air rifles. Just don't over tightened the screws or they'll stripped easily.

    Things I would have changed:

Change the screws type to quick mount with lever types.

    What others should know:

Be sure to mount it with the longer end pointing to muzzle or your zeros will be very wierd.

Picatinny/Weaver rail system, of course. UTG makes a great product, well worth the price.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, worked great for my purpose.

    What others should know:

I used this to change my Gamo Swarm Maxxim from a dovetail to this rail system. I did not remove the RRR rail, I just added this Universal Rail on top then attached 1" Quick-Detach Rings, Medium, Weaver/Picatinny, See-Thru, Law-Enforcement Grade rings. This rail plus these rings brought my scope to the perfect height. With the RRR Rail I needed my scope mounted farther back for the proper eye relief and this Rail worked perfectly, I now have a well made solid Picatinny/Weaver rail on my Gamo.

Works well. It attached to the lower and smaller dovetail without a problem. Holds on very tightly. The weaver style scope mounts go onto the top rail without a problem.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

The slots across the adapter are for a cross bar that helps hold weaver style scope mounts on. Once the cross bar is in the slot the scope doesn't move about. This fit well on my scope.

    Things I liked:

This adapter mount is indeed UNIVERSAL! Once I figured out how to use it, I love it! It fits everything in my inventory of air guns with a dovetail from the narrowest Crosman CO2 pistol to some oversize break-barrels. It allows me incredible flexibility to mount pistol scopes way forward, scout scopes in the middle, or the shortest rifle scope way back next to my eye, and Red Dots etc anywhere I want. I am an old codger who has been shooting airguns for more than 60 years and am always finding a "better" sighting device or changing my eye relief a tad and this allows me great flexibility. At my age, what else have I got to do. LOL

    Things I would have changed:

The mounting instructions are very inadequate, as others have said. I almost gave up at first and returned mine. The loose fit that some complained about can easily be solved by taking the long screws out of the side the came in, removing the short fat screws and inserting the long screws in where the short fat ones came out, Then u gently snug the long screws one at a time in order using the supplied torque wrench till the mount no longer moves. Snug down the top screws with the supplied allen wrench and u r done. Instructions 4 widening the base r adequate but, I feel that again it should talk about then removing the short fat screws/switching sides on the long screws etc as described above. A reviewer from 2016 talked about a video, but I never found it.

    What others should know:

If u r like me and can't leave well enough alone, eventually this might break or screws might strip taking it off and on, since it is not held on with a "side plate" like many others but, the price is good enough that I will simply buy more if that happens. Heck, I will likely buy more anyway, now that I understand it. Maybe I will just buy one for each airgun I own. Very well designed I think after all.
