Things I liked:A very nice package deal for the money. Nice rifle overall. High quality and accurate. Did some shooting with the iron sights before I mounted the scope. Good repeatability. Scope is bright and very clear.
Things I would have changed:My only gripe with the rifle is that the trigger is some sort of plastic material. Not a problem now. I just wonder about long-term durability.
What others should know:I'm a lefty and this rifle works well for me. I talked to a helpful saleswoman helped me make the selection. I'm glad I spent the time on the phone with her. If you have any questions, or are unsure about something, my advice is to call and talk to a salesperson. I'm glad I did!!

Things I liked:like everything, came today pack very well gun is very well made i'm very happy with it. sighted it in at 50yds got dead on size of a quarter. And the gun is very hard hitting the 22 cal. pellet went right though a 1 inch pine board i had my target on love it. Scope is nice already came mounted to gun didnt have to do anything. But sight it in.
      Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:I sighted it in with 14.5 superdomes pointed pellets very happy with out come. i always wanted a good 22 cal pellet rife and now i have one that will last me for my lifetime. i'm 58 years old so dont think i will need another rife this will last me. And being that the gun is made in Germany thats even better they made good guns.

Things I liked:Heft and solid feel. Smooth action, no spring 'twang'. Great fit and finish everywhere. Great power. Cocks more easily than I expected. Quality scope and mount (after a slight modification). Overall, a well built, quality piece that anyone should be proud to own and use.
Things I would have changed:Everyone knocks the scope rail, and I will too (at least out of the box), but there's a simple solution that makes the included two piece mount just perfect. The issue: the recoil pin on the scope ring is too small for the retaining hole in the rail (too thin and too short), and he retaining hole in the rail has a radius at the bottom that doesn't let a longer pin extend far enough into the hole. Solution for the hole: grind out the radius with a dremel. Solution for the pin: use a bronze bushing to create a good fit between the pin and the hole. You can get a bushing at sdp-si.com, part # A7B4MP030506 (about $1). You'll have to drill it out to 9/64" and grind down the length, but then it will fit perfectly. My scope and mount haven't budged. This simple solution would be an awesome service for Pyramyd to offer.
What others should know:This is a great rifle--and a great combo (if someone spends a few minutes improving the scope recoil pin fit). The stock on my rifle is considerably darker than any of the pictures I've seen, with more of a chocolate tint . I thought this combo was a great value last month, but the price seems to have gone up significantly since then. While I'm incredibly pleased with my rifle, at its current price, I would have probably bought a Discovery instead.

Things I liked:Very powerful and accurate. Nice style and finish too. This gun should hold it's value over time. Side lever action is not only more accurate, but also easier to operate in the field, particularly with game. Pyramidair was the lowest price found on internet and below many retailers.
Things I would have changed:The scope mount ring system is disappointing for RWS. It is hard to install and tighten, and will not stay tight from the recoil. Umarex is workin on a single mount unit, but it might require a larger scope.
What others should know:This gun is very heavy and with high recoil. Recommendations for a better set up: a bipood such as Harris with swivel mount, RWS quality ammo - the heavier RWS supermag over 9 grains works well, and replace the hard plastic stock pad with a limsaver recoil pad.

Things I liked:Fit and finish are very precise. The stained hardwood stock (beech it appears) is a very nice, dark color that has golden grain lines throughout. This is a beautiful rifle. Very, very accurate.
Things I would have changed:As with all Dianas, the scope-mounting "rail" is just inadequate. These rifles produce too much recoil for such a short rail with no way of stopping the mounts from sliding except to use a 1-piece mount and hang the stop pin off the front.
What others should know:RWS has a reputation of great rifles for a very good reason. This rifle is very heavy (close to 10 pounds with the scope). The cocking action is listed as 39 lbs in the RWS literature, but it feels much less than that (closer to 30-34 lbs). This is a beautiful rifle, and a joy to shoot.
