    Things I liked:

Great value for the money. I purchased the remanufactured version and had PYRAMYD do their 10 for $10 test before shipping. Couldn't be happier for the money spent. It's a dead ringer for a real M4 flattop AR-15 variant from a distance unless you know what you're looking at.

    Things I would have changed:

Good little airgun as is. Would love to see one come out in .22cal with a bit more punch.

    What others should know:

This little airgun loves the Skenco 4gr Poly pellets. They are much longer than a regular pellet but fit the M4's clips perfectly and is very obvious that they get to the target much faster than a normal pellet as well. I posted pics. Shooting from a rest at 33ft I'm getting 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch 10 shot groups all day long with the Skencos, and can achieve 1 inch 5-shot groups offhand if I do my part. I wasn't expecting this kind of accuracy from a low money airgun. Very pleased with the gun and with PYRAMYD AIR. Plus, do yourself a favor and order the 10 for $10 test with your airgun purchases... you won't be sorry.

    Things I liked:

Great little airgun. Very realistic as a copy of a M4. Handles well a feels solid for a plastic gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I don't much care for the Picatinny rail on the bottom of the forearm. I think it's removable and am looking into that tonight before the next shooting session.

    What others should know:

Mine is a tack driver at 33ft using Skenco Pointed Poly Match ultra light 4.0gr pellets! Getting 1/2 inch to 3/4in groups all day long with 8 pumps. I ordered the remanufactured one and had PA do their 10 for $10 test, so it was gone over looking for any defects and was shot over a chrono 10 times for velocity (the included tape showed an average velocity of 565fps with Beeman Lazer 7.1gr pellets) and was signed off on as "good to go" Came looking like new with no scratches and all items were included that were supposed to be there. Very impressed and saved some $$ to boot! PA rocks in all aspects and the 10 for $10 test is a no brainer. Great gun and great company. Buy it... your kids will love you even more.

    Things I liked:

Feels like a real M4 minus the weight. The weaver rails are cool to have for a pumper.I put my gangster grip/bipods from my old M4 on it,the grip makes it easier to pump,my daughter can accurately shoot the pumper and enjoys it.

    Things I would have changed:

Its a pumper what more can you say,get some tac gear and trick it out.

    What others should know:

Be sure to use the right oil for lubrication and it should last you a while, ive had this one since Jan. and no problems

    Things I liked:

The fit-and-finish, especially for an $80 air rifle, is excellent. The trigger is very, very good: smooth, crisp and consistent. The 5-pellet magazines are very convenient - and they index from pellet-to-pellet crisply, with a light and firm push, and they stay in place. I checked the M4-177's power, with a Beta Chrony, and got an average velocity (measured three feet from the muzzle) of of 531.5 fps (with a standard deviation of just 8.4 fps) for 50 shots (10 magazines) using roll-tested and weighed 7.9 grain Crosman Premier Hollow Point pellets. Shooting five 5-shot groups (at NRA Air Rifle 5-Bull targets) for accuracy, from a bench and using a Caldwell front bag, I got an average spread of .52" center-to-center for the two most widely dispersed pellets in each group. I was using a UTG 1X30 Red/Green dot sight, mounted directly to the M4-177's integral Weaver-style rail. I'm sure that the rifle is capable of consistent .25" groups - or better - with a scope or target sights. The M4-177 is also solidly built. Those who have complained about the quality and durability of the stock must have been expecting an $800 air rifle for $80 - and they must have been subjecting the M4-177 to abuse, not just hard use. No lever-action pump on an air rifle is meant to be wrenched open hard, quickly, and sharply - and then slammed shut! Treat this air rifle with respect - and it will last for a long, long time.

    Things I would have changed:

Crosman should change the mold that's used for the flash-hider/Weaver-rail that hold the front sight: they should put a Weaver-style mini-rail on the right and left sides of this piece, not just on the top (where the front open sight is mounted) and the bottom (which can't be used for mounting anything, since the pump arm would make contact with it). With those two rails added, it would be simple to trick out the M4-177 with a flashlight and laser - without having to interfere with the pump arm/forearm. I'm guessing that this change, implemented for an "M4-177 Mark II," might realistically add $5 to the retail price of the gun . . . and Crosman would make a whole bunch more by selling lasers and flashlights for it!

    What others should know:

This gun if REALLY FUN, especially because it is accurate enough to hold its own with air rifles that cost significantly more. Make sure that you order extra magazines (and do it when you order the gun, so that you minimize your shipping costs) . . . and pellets, too, since you will shoot this air rifle a lot!

    Things I liked:

This is an amazing little shooter. I am astounded by the accuracy of this gun out to 30 yards using pellets. I put a red dot that I took off another rifle on this and all I can say is WOW!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Ship it with more than one clip. Make the stock a little longer

    What others should know:

For what this gun is intended for it can't be beat IMO. The price is very reasonable, the plastic it's made from seems to be good quality. It's just a fun gun to plink or target shoot with, It's light weight so the whole family can join in the shooting experience kids included with adult supervision of coarse.

This gun is awesome. No doubt about that! If we did not have to pump it it would be almost completely real.

    Things I would have changed:

Make one that takes CO2 because it is so much fun, I want the pumps over with so I can fire it quicker

    What others should know:

Be careful as to not jam you're barrel with both a bb and pellet. I can happen.

    Things I liked:

The weight and balance are great!

    Things I would have changed:

Make the stock connection out of metal and not plastic or a much more sturdy grade of plastic. Make the Clip a functional part of the gun and not just a storage bin. If not then give us a bigger clip to store more pellet clips! Make the Picatinny rails out of metal not plastic same with the parts of the barrel that are visible for ruggedness. Fatten the grip so that it is flush with the lower receiver or offer rubber-ish grip cover option. Hollow out the grip as it is one the real M4 to save weight. Spring the BB magazine so it is not necessary to flip and shake the gun to get BBs to gravity feed into the breach, after pumping. The pellet clip should move to the next pellet slot automatically as a part of the bolt action, this should not be a manual thing to move! It is difficult to move manually by it's tiny handle. Make the pellet mag clear or make it so that a shooter can tell if they actually loaded a pellet into the breach! All of that pumping and aiming just to shoot air is annoying!

    What others should know:

Don't let this gun fall at all on it's stock! Or you will be replacing it! Use at lease 5 pumps to get relatively consistent accuracy at 20+ft. Don't over tighten any devices to the picatinny rails.

    Things I liked:

Everything! This is simply a very cool air rifle. Has a great look and feel to it, very true to the look of an M4. This is a VERY accurate gun once dialed in. I am 2 minutes from the CMP north air rifle range at Camp Perry, Ohio. On the 200 yard simulated target, using an inexpensive green dot sight, I have shot a 572 score out of 60 rounds. I have run strings of ten 10.5 to 10.9* hits. I have MS and a slight body shake, and I feel this gun could easily push a 580+ score in more stable hands. Seems to shoot best on the Crosman 7.4 grain premiere wad cutters. Will be trying the Crosman Super Match wad cutters next. This is simply one of the best values for the money. Just order it!

    Things I would have changed:

Include more than one pellet clip. Leave the rail off the bottom of the pump handle, a smooth hand grip would be more desirable. These are all minor comments. In the published images of the M4-177 combo kit, a carry handle is shown, however one does not appear available from Crosman. The images should be corrected in the ads.

    What others should know:

If you buy this gun, order 2 to 4 additional four packs of pellet clips. I have enough to preload 175 pellets before going to the range. Purchase the UTG AR carry handle, all metal construction, great rear sight, makes handling the gun easier. The UTG soft sided case fits this gun well also (short version). I added a UTG rail on top of the hand guard, and mounted a green dot sight. To me this gun shoots to good to risk messing up the rifling in the barrel shooting BB's. I have shot match grade vogle pellets in this gun, and the Crosman premiere wad cutters yielded better scores. Possibly weight or head diameter was different and the gun did not like the vogle pellets.

    Things I liked:

Rifle is quite realistic in appearance to the real M-4. I like the fact that it is clip fed, but it would be nice if it was 10 round instead of 5. Secondly Crosman could include two clips with it without hurting their profit margin one single bit. I just ordered 4 more clips at over $1.00 each, and standard shipping brought it up to about $13.00 which is ridiculous! Those clips don't weigh much more than a normal letter, but yet it costs several dollars more in shipping than what the product costs. Where is the logic here?

    Things I would have changed:

Crosman needs to add the weight to this rifle to make it realistic. I carried the M-16 in Vietnam and this rifle which is patterned after the M-16 feels like a toy. It is the nost accurate air rifle I've ever owned and I've had some up to $200. I've had Beeman, Crosman, Winchester, Ruger, Daisy, and numerous others.

For the money, this is an exceptional rifle. All plastic, but very realistic. Very accurate in pellet mode; adjustable sights quite good. Not noisy at all. You really can't go wrong with this one. A ton of fun for very few bucks!

    Things I would have changed:

    Really wouldn't change a thing.

    What others should know:

5 rnd clips are inexpensive and fairly durable. Get several. Very accurate at 20 yds with a 4x scope. It gets noticed at the range!

Great looking and really fun rifle. The accessory rails work well with all types of Red Dot Sights, lasers and gun slings from the Pyramyd Air wonderful, in stock selection. Very accurate and well made!

    Things I would have changed:

The foregrip pump makes the bottom front sight accessory rail unusable and accessories on the foregrip like a bi-pod can be hard to use.

    What others should know:

Over all the M4-177 is a great Crosman product. Fun plinker, looks really great and at a good price. So many accessories like the UTG Low Profile Front Sight Red Laser (LS754) and the BSA RD30 Red Dot Scope look and work very well on the M4-177 and are available from Pyramyd Air.

    Things I liked:

Its function for a plastic rifle is very reasonable. Since installing a Crosman dot scope I'm hitting accurately at 40 yards or more. The power and accuracy is good for the price paid.

    Things I would have changed:

Because it is a plastic rifle, I am hoping it will hold together for long use with proper care and maintenance.

    What others should know:

Because it is a rifled barrel there is far better accuracy when using pellets only. Steel BBs can ruin the barrel.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

It looks like an M4. The removeable sights are a plus. The adjustable stock is nice, I really like how they hid the pump. It's in the round barrel shroud, so you don't see it. Aesthetically this gun is pleasing. It has sufficient power for the price, There are a few cons that I'll mention below.

    Things I would have changed:

Clip size is the one thing I was dissappointed about. it's a 5 shot clip. While some people are ok with this, I like to fill and shoot not worrying about reloading as much. The part that looks like a clip is a storage box. I would have liked this if they had made it either load from the clip using a bb feed system similar to an AEG and single shot load for pellets. For this I gave it 3 stars.

    What others should know:

If you're fine with reloading often this is a very good pellet/bb rifle. You will enjoy it and get many hours of fun. Buy plenty of clips, otherwise. If you use a tac light on the bottom of the barrel mount it closer to the front, the pump handle swings towards the front of the barrel so you will be less inclined to bump your mounted light that way.

    Things I liked:

The looks caught be on this, and my inner child called out to get one. I love multipump rifles for their varying power, and my 30 year old multipump died so I was in the market for another. This just so happened to come out at the same time and I couldn't resist trying it. I was immediately surprised at how well it shot. The sights were close to zero, but it grouped very well. Once dialed in, it has kept zero well and it is a joy to shoot. I haven't shot BB's through it, but it shoots pellets just fine. Looks like an M4, but doesn't feel like one. It feels like a plastic toy, but not necessarily cheap. The plastic is nice, but it's all plastic. Pales in comparison to the airsoft replica types, but then again - this is under $80. It feels pretty good, looks good and shoots better than expected.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd love a version that felt more like a real M4. As much as I like multipumps, it would be nice to have a CO2 version, I don't care about semi auto or the like, but a CO2 version would be nice for a quick plinking session. I suspect this is aimed at the youth market, because it has a very short pull even with the stock fully extended. I'd like a wider adjustment capability.

    What others should know:

Fun, it's very fun. I know it's essentially a 760 (with rifled barrel) but it is a whole lot funner to shoot.

  • Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Out of the box the gun was dead-on accurate with just a few tweaks of the site. I've only shot it in an indoor range at 25 feet pumped to 4 times. I had it in my hands when a delivery man came to the door. He began backing up with terror on his face. I quickly straightened him out on it being an air gun, but this testifies to its real look.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish the plastic parts were metal, but for the very expensive price, this is what you get.

    What others should know:

Use the fake magazine to store the included siting tool and about 5 clips.
