    Things I liked:

I've had this for just over a year now. I really like the nice solid, hefty feel to it. Despite some remarks about the trigger being made of plastic and fearing "pulling it too hard will break it" I have found no issues with anything of the sort, and in my opinion if you're pulling hard enough to snap a polymer trigger you need shooting lessons. This gun is very accurate and surprisingly powerful. I have had unbelievable luck I guess as far as the number of shots per CO2 because I've read most saying 25 to 30 shots is about it. I average closer to 40 and then a very rapid drop off, one or two more shots and then their isn't enough power to even complete a dry fire.

    Things I would have changed:

More metal would be nice, but it is great the way it is!

    What others should know:

I've had issues with some powerlets not getting fully pierced, (and piercing any powerlet takes a lot of force) nothing one notices until you remove the powerlet and look at it. UMAREX states this is from not using the Walther CO2 blaming it on Crosman's CO2 Cartridges. Of course Umarex also told me they make the Walther CO2 so take it with that in mind. The one thing I've noticed that may be troublesome is leaving a CO2 cartridge loaded in the gun, it now leaks down within a week, up until a month ago I could keep them in for months with no leak-down. UMAREX states 24 hours is the longest you should ever keep a powerlet in any of their guns as it is hard on the seals.... So if they are right, that would explain the leak down. Lastly, if you ever send your UMAREX in for warranty service, be prepared to pay for return shipping if they disagree with anything being wrong with your gun. That stung as they charged nearly triple what it cost me to ship it to them! And when I got the gun back, the same problem showed up with the very first powerlet. Nothing big, just piercing of the CO2 powerlet takes one heck of a hard couple turns that is beginning to make dents in the slot with the provided wrench and the wrench is now bent! "Normal" according to Umarex but it seems like requiring that much force is far from "Normal" to me.

    Things I liked:

    E V E R Y T H I N G feels like the real 50 cal. model

    Things I would have changed:

Cheaper is always nice . but it wort every penny

    What others should know:

There are others that commented how large the gun is to hold , My gloves are medium in size that are long in the fingers so my hand are small for a man , but I have no problem holding and shooting this great fire arm . It does have a hefty feel , but than so does the real one ! I love the blow back feature and to my amazement right out of the box at twenty eight feet it was punching perfect bulls eyes every time with the help of a rest ! ! Buy extra clips ( they are metal ) because you will not want to put it down ! Don't forget have lots of c02 handly , you will only get 24 good shots per cylinder , but the fun you will be having is worth it ! ! !

    Things I liked:

Looks like the real thing. Real semi-auto action! Accurate! Easy to use. Solid!!!

    Things I would have changed:

If there was a way, I would change the trigger travel during single action operation.

    What others should know:

Holy crapoly! This is one very neat CO2 pistol! Where most other CO2 pisols advertised as semi-auto, they are actually revolvers that LOOK like semi-auto handguns...meaning the "clip" is rotated to the next round by your efforts on the trigger for EVERY shot. In the Desert Eagle, the blow back action actually advances the "clip" or magazine more like a true semi-auto would do. Just got mine today and have already put about 80 pellets through it just playing around. It's as accurate as I can be with a handgun. I'm just using the iron sights and have no plans to put optics on it. Loading pellets is like any other "semi-auto" with a circular clip and is very easy. Changing out the CO2 is different from most in that you have a "plug" in the butt of the frame and use a wide screwdriver tool (included) to remove and install it but it is a good system. Get lots of pellets and CO2!!! You'll go through them fast. This pistol is addictive.

    Things I liked:

The pistol is fairly big in size, but the loudness is great, realistic blowback (fast and smooth), Power and accuracy is nice, actually I only shoot pellets and it all land on the same little center circle with 8 shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Metal body and easy to field strip would be nice and add realism to the gun.

    What others should know:

One 12g co2 can give about 5 to 6 of the 8 round clip = 40 or 48 shots per co2. The gun do not fit most holsters, need to buy special holsters that will fit it. Buy spare clips but only one set will be fine, the gun comes with one only, so you get 4 in total with the spare set, which is only about how much a co2 cartrige can shoot. Nice gun!

    Things I liked:

it has a very nice trigger-pull. it is realistic size, feel and sights. its got very good accuracy for a blow back air gun too.

    Things I would have changed:

make more of it metal. other than that its perfect.

    What others should know:

its a very large gun (just like the real d-eagle) and i use it in my back yard to improve my accuracy with a real pistol. its also a loud gun compared to all my other co2 guns. its a pretty powerful gun so be cautious with what u shoot at, and know that more than likely it will go through it.

    Things I liked:

great fun to shoot, very real action. Love the blowback action, you can fire off the 8 round clip very easily and accurately and course very quickly, get extra magazines. the blowback action cocks the trigger each time you fire like a real pistol or you can cock it with the trigger too. a lot of fun to fire and an amazing value at the price on the Pyramyd Air site.

    Things I would have changed:

grip is a little on the large size but not too bad.

    What others should know:

again buy extra magazines, or rotary clips, whatever you want to call them as you will want to spend your time shooting and not loading the clips. 8 rounds go pretty quick. seem to get around 34-40 shots on a CO2 cylinder.. this is really a good thing as you don't want to store the pistol with a CO2 cartridge in it for the sake of the seals.

    Things I liked:

Very fun. Blowback, while taking extra C02, makes it so that the hammer is recoked after each shot, so the trigger pull is extremely light. Very loud, not requiring hearing protection, (well I use it outdoors so I wouldnt know about inside), it makes a very loud SMACK. It is very intimidating in looks and sound. If you areafrain of he sound, dont be, it is loud, and should be rated a 4, but I is a deep sound, not a shrill painful sound like a daisy 15xt. Very accurate, and has slight recoil. Definately a must have. I get about 3-4 clips with a C02.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really, perfect in every way.

    What others should know:

Fun and great value, and good weight to. Very realistic, and a must have.

    Things I liked:

The gun is strong and feels powerful when you shoot it. The detail is good and it's a handsome and great looking weapon. I bought it with the Walter Nightforce attachment, and the thing just looks amazing.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much, save the way the CO2 inserts. Also, the gun is a bit big and hard to grab, but I think it's just the way Desert Eagles are.

    What others should know:

This thing sucks up CO2 like mad due to it's blowback.

    Things I liked:

-feels good in my hand -trigger is firm but predictable -fairly accurate, not super accurate like the Walther CP88

    Things I would have changed:

Plastic is OK but some of the parts feel loose and cheap. The release mechanism is VERY flimsy. All of the screws were loose, there are 2 small bearings to hold the safety in place and they were both loose in the box when I opened it. TIGHTEN ALL SCREWS BEFORE YOU USE IT.

    What others should know:

The gun is fun and worth the money but don't expect blow your mind accuracy. I have the most luck with RWS R10 Match pistol wad-cutters.

    Things I would have changed:

a piece of plastic on the saftey broke after only using it a couple of times, but u can just screw the saftey in a bit more so it stays in place

    Things I liked:

This is my 1st pellet pistol and from what I have learned so far it was the perfect choice and Pyramyd Air is the perfect place to buy in to this great hobby. You get a pretty good sense that you are going to get a good replica of the genuine firearm when the pellet gun version is listed on the manufacturer's website. Yeah, that's right Magnum Research advertises the Umarex replica on their website. Hmmm.... let's see, do I want to spend $1500+ for the genuine .50ae, .44, .357, or $139 for the replica .117 pellet gun and save over $1300 (not to mention the cost of live ammo). Well, I chose the pellet gun. It has a very real feel to it, heavy / chunky like a real Desert Eagle. Plastic parts? Yes, but well made plastic parts. I have only put about 100 rounds through mine so far using inexpensive RWS Superdome loads. It is a VERY accurate shooting pistol. Mostly I have been plinking soda cans and watching them jump, but I did set-up my paper target once and I was putting them in a 1" hole from 10 yards. I shot this pistol once at night . I put the lower rail on and stole my Streamlight TLR-1 off my Mossberg 590 shotgun, a perfect fit! Night shooting was fun (and educational if you are moving towards personal defense with real firearms). It would be so cool if you could get tracer loads for pellet guns!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really from a practical perspective.

    What others should know:

I get some bleed-off of CO2 if I store the pistol with a partially used cartridge. I recommend setting up to shoot each time until the CO2 is spent. Go to Youtube and type in "Desert Eagle" to watch stupid people doing stupid things with live ammunition. Pellet guns are great fun, inexpensive, and a great way for new shooters of all ages to learn how to handle a firearm safely. Pyramyd videos were very helpful to me. Have fun, be safe! Jimmy

    Things I liked:

This is my second review as I have my eagle almost a year. I like the fit and finish of this gun. The power is there for about 50 shots or so on a single CO2. Accuracy up to about 8 yards is very good and consistent.

    Things I would have changed:

The grip is too big for my hand and I wear a large size workglove. The trigger is too stiff to shoot comfortably. I can't seem to stop gas from hissing out of the bottom screw fitting. It is loud when fired indoors. A smoother trigger and smaller grip would be a big plus in the next version.

    What others should know:

I loved this gun when I first got it almost a year ago. Now I hardly pick it up anymore. It is still a nice gun and I would recommend it but the oversize grip and heavy trigger make it a chore to shoot sometimes. I also don't like that I have to use a tool to change the gas. If you get one, I recommend you get six extra mags or nine if you can swing it. That way you can keep shooting uninterrupted until the gas runs out.

    Things I liked:

The quality of manufacture and the realistic blow back operation. The saftey location and function, it's located in the same place as the firearm. The way that the Co2 cartrige is installed and the brass slotted plug used to tighten and charge the pistol. With this system, there is nothing hanging down under the pistol like the Walther PPK has. The tightening spanner that is included with the pistol works just as it is supposed to, I use a drop of the recommended lube on the tip of the Co2 cartrige as stated in the well written and understandable users manual and lightly lube the inside of the brass plug where it touches the bottom of the Co2 cartrige, eliminating the metal to metal dry contact making it very easy to tighten the plug properly. This pistol is as true a copy of the Desert Eagle as possible in an airgun for the price, Which is always the best at Pyramyd Air.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not change anything but the single action trigger pull. The double action trigger pull is among the best of any airgun I have fired in the 40 years I have enjoyed this hobby, but the single action trigger pull is just as long as the double, although with half the force. I would have a weak spring or a linkage assembly that would have the trigger move back, eliminating the excess play in the single action mode. If the pistol were sold for double the price, I would say a drop out magazine with the Co2 cartrige and pellets in it and a working slide stop, holding the slide open when the last pellet is fired, working the same as the actual firearm.

    What others should know:

This airgun copy of the Magnum Research Desert Eagle is manufactured by a company that makes some of the very best airguns available-Umarex. With proper use and care, it will provide many years of enjoyment. It is made as well as possible for a very reasonable asking price. I have fired the Desert Eagle firearm in .357 and .44 magnum, and this airgun simulates the feel and operation of the real thing as best as can be in a pistol we can shoot in our backyards and basements. This is a must buy for anyone who enjoys airguns that realisticly simulate the feel and function of the actual firearms they replacate.

The gun was powerful, accurate, and it had a real good feel to it. There are really good features in it. Some features are: it's blowback, its single action or double action, it feels so real because of its weight and power.

    Things I would have changed:

    NONE ITS AWSOME!

    What others should know:

This is a really accurate gun and I recomend it to people who are looking for a good action pistol. It's just a bit pricey.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to have some way to make the CO2 last a bit longer I only get around 3 to 4 clips before reloading more CO2

    What others should know:

This gun is a great taget gun and is great for plinking or just having a fun day of shooting.
