    Things I liked:

Pure quality. Very powerful and accurate. Beautifully made, very close to the real firearm. Great German-quality! This pistol just became my favorite in my collection.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing!

    What others should know:

Get alot of C02s! After about 4 or 5 rounds, need C02 replacement....but well worth the extra expense! I love this gun! Thanks Pyramid Air for great service! You guys just became my sole airgun supplier. I just bought a Walther CP88 from you guys and just got it today.

    Things I liked:

It's fun. It's huge. It hefts like a real gun (but not a real DE).

    Things I would have changed:

More positive instructions on when proper CO2 cartridge puncture is achieved. A shot is wasted when you 'test' fire, and you'll only get 24 good shots total.

    What others should know:

Not a real single-action. The mechanism is the classic Umarex 8-shot revolver. It may look like it changes from a doubleaction first shot to subsequent singleaction, but unless you fully release the trigger so as to ratchet and index the cylinder for the next pellet, it will appear to misfire from the short trigger press. In other words, your next shot requires a double action full-length trigger pull, even though the slide functions and the hammer is set for 'single-action'.

    Things I liked:

I like the weight and feel. Very good build quality of slider, safety and hammer. All the moving parts fit snugly together. The "plastic" finish is awesome and very high end. Build quality is exceptional. Safety is tight and sure. I am a return customer to Pyramyd and highly recommend them. I still don't like the two-day-to-ship policy but they offer expedited service for a premium price and I guess that is a reasonable compromise. I like that I can operate both the safety and loading lever with the same finger. The blowback action adds to the excitement of firing but as the other reviews wrote, it does come with a higher CO2 consumption.

    Things I would have changed:

The grip is too large for my hand to comfortably hold and get a good bite on the trigger. I do not like that a tool/coin is needed to remove the CO2. They could have engineered a better solution so that an external tool was not needed and so that nothing hung down from the handle. The tool that comes with it is a light-gage metal that I already bent out of shape and it has a slot in the top that is shaped like a bottle opener for opening sodas and the like. The box that it came in is a cheap, flimsy cardboard and seems to be where the manufacturer saved money. The red paint from the box was all over the gun though it cleaned up easily.

    What others should know:

It comes with one rotary clip but I recommend buying six more. I got about 24-32 shots out of the first 3 CO2 cartridges that I used and I heard a hiss coming out of the bottom plug. No amount of tightening could stop it. However, from the 4th CO2 and on, I have not had any CO2 leaks and typically get 7-8 solid clips worth of shooting on one CO2. I can usually get one extra clip worth of junky shots, misfires, double blowbacks, etc. I tried RWS hobby pellets and RWS R-10 match pellets and the results were pretty much the same, though the match pellets fit looser in the clip and were much nicer in build construction. I mounted a Leapers red dot scope on the front rail and that adds to the barrel weight significantly. It takes me two hands to fire this beast and I still am having trouble shooting consistently. My grouping is about 3 inches at 25 feet. I am pretty sure the gun can do better but the shooter needs more practice and strength to do better. I fire in an indoor range and hearing protection is required with this gun. It is quite loud. Overall, I would recommend this gun but I find that I spend most of my time loading the clips. That is not a knock on the gun, just the nature of the beast. Magnum Research did a good job with this product and it was a nice addition to my collection, but I am strongly considering the Drozd Blackbird with a Jim C barrel so I can spend more time shooting.

    Things I liked:

This gun feels real nice in hand. It is big and heavy. Has a real gun feel. It shoots very accurately. One bottle of co2 can shoot about 50 shoots. It's not bad at all. The first 20 shoots are the strongest, then the power goes down. It is a really nice made air pistol. Definitely a keeper. If you are looking for a blow back air pistol that can shoot very accurately, this is it!

    Things I would have changed:

The blow back is not as strong as I think. It is because the moving part is plastic. So there is not much recoil feel at all. Wish the moving part will be made by metal.

    What others should know:

It is kind of loud. May or may not be a good thing.

    Things I liked:

This gun has a very solidfeel to it. From the heft of the limited plastic chassis, to the blow back at the first trigger pull, for the money this is a very impressive gun for the money despite a few mino flaws. The accuracy is pretty impressive andI really like the idea of a fully adjustable rear sight. And it comes with enough rails to hang a kitchen sink from!

    Things I would have changed:

The top item I would change about this gun would be the trigger. It has alot of travel...I mean alot. My first few pulls it seemed like I could read a book in the time it took for the gun to actually fire! It is something that you can get used to but it may not be a great choice for any kind of precision shooting. It would be great if there was an aftermarket trigger out there for it like some of the springer rifles. The second item that gave me a grimace was the Co2 installation. They include a metal stamped tool that basically acts like a large screwdriver for the brass screw plug that presses and secures your disposable Co2. The problem is that the screwdriver tool blade could be wider to give more leverage on the brass plug which in itself really takes some effort turning in. You don't really get a feel as to when enough turns are...well..enough.

    What others should know:

Though the blowback feature is cool, you will trade off shooting time for it. I think I got about 32-40 decent shots on one Co2 tank before misfires began. You'll also be suprised at the accuracy. It's better than you would expect especially when you master the trigger. Overall, I am a happy camper!

    Things I liked:

Accurate representation of a 'real gun'.

    Things I would have changed:

More weight in the slide area could help. A .22 caliber version would be hot!

    What others should know:

This is almost an exact match for a real Magnum Research Desert Eagle pistol (yes they are very girthy in the grip). The slide release actually lets the slide go forward to put in the pellet cylinder, and the safety and hammer function well; magazine release is non functional. Some people complain about the CO2, but instead of a 'detachable magazine' type arrangement it is a large threaded brass plug which holds the powerlet in place. I think this is a much more effective and secure way which seems to have a much longer lifespan than a plastic magazine. And you don't need a wrench to make it work, all you need is a coin kids! This has got to be one of my all-time favorite shooters. Quality piece.

The nads. This is a hard hitting, accurate pistol. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Sighted pretty well right out of the box. The blow back is cool.

    Things I would have changed:

Price. A drop out mag would be a bonus.

The weight... gives it a pretty realistic feel. The trigger, very easy to pull, very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

A fall-out magazine would have made this gun PERFECT. Also, the handle is a bit thick... but that's just me... :P Otherwise, very very happy with purchase. I would definitely recommend this gun.

    What others should know:

Don't forget to buy the extra 8-pellet magazines!!

    Things I liked:

The size is the same as the DE 44. The block back works well and i wish it was on more umarex guns. It shoots very fast with good accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

It is missing a lot of weight, it is no where close to the real thing at all. The slide release on the frame is not real, that would have been a plus. This gun deserves to have a CO system like the P99, i do not like the bright shiny brass plug in the bottom.

    What others should know:

A very fun gun that is worth adding to your collection. One of the best blow back guns out there!

    Things I liked:

THIS GUN IS AWESOME! Ever since playing Counter Strike Source (and dominating with the DE =D) I've been obsessed with the DE. I've always wanted a real one but the price tag and age restrictions in my state prevented that. This is by far the next best thing!! It's almost an exact replica with very very few minor changes (i.e. white print on the side, etc.) The wieght is very heavy in my opinion. It has an awesome solid feel to it, and its huge size makes it feel like you are toting a hand cannon. O yeah and its REALLY LOUD =) Also the power is AWESOME! I shot a pointed pellet at my wooden shed expecting to find the pellet stuck in the surface of the wood. I checked it out and was disappointed at first since i didn't see the pellet. But upon further inspection I discovered that the pellet was actually buried inside the wood! and that was from a good 15-20 yards away.

    Things I would have changed:

Like I said, it's really loud. It's both good and bad. I LOVE the sound but I had the neighbors nosing out their windows at me this morning which got me freaked out cuz I expected the cops to show up at anytime. Also the DE in CSS was chrome/nickle plated and that would have been fabulous if I could have gotten but it only comes in black. The CO2 usage seems a little high but really... compared to the power I guess I should have expected that.

    What others should know:

The CO2 system is really good. Yeah, you have to use a tool to open/close it but I would WAY rather have that than an ugly thumb screw hanging off of my otherwise perfect DE. BUY EXTRA ROTARY CLIPS! They are cheap and trust me you will wish you had them. I have 4 total and am thinking about buying some more cuz i hate stopping to shoot to reload. Incase anyone isn't familiar with rails (Like me) weaver mount accessories fit fine onto the picatinny rail. The safety is a little awkward but its true to the DE design so DONT CHANGE IT! I slapped on a green paintballing laser (~$80 from a local paintball shop) with a momentary switch electrical-taped to the handle and just so you know my gun is super sexy now. I cant wait to keep shooting it! I would most certainly recommend this gun to anyone looking for some sa-weet power, speed, and looks. It's a great buy if you can afford it.

A powerful and loud gun. She's also a big beaut, who says size doesn't matter? Easy and ambadextrious design for the safety makes this baby good for lefties and righies. Super accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Fairly light due to the plastic build. Blow back is light but this thing is heavy on CO2 as it is. I can get maybe 4-5 full mags out before needing a new tank. The CO2 injection system is a bit of a pain also, I would have at least preferred a tool-less system.

    Things I liked:

Size, well made copy! Accuracy!!! :o) - safety is easy using. The sound (a very loud SMACK!) and the fps (which i measured to be 535fps! at one of the first shots of a fill tho).

    Things I would have changed:

the weight (all too light in my oppinion) and a small white print on the side that says its an airgun - in general. I was'nt dissapointed about the plastic parts (polymer) its pretty tuff, but i WAS dissapointed with the extreme lightweight blowback, it does blowback, but you really cant feel it That much because of the rail that blow's back is very lightweight plastic.

    What others should know:

If you like the Desert Eagle - you really wanna get one of these, It's powerfull like hell - But if youre a looking for nice blowback (realistic) action go with a Beretta PX4 storm instead :o)

EVERYTHING! This gun rocks! One of the funnest guns I've ever shot! Power, accuracy, blowback, able to add lasers & red dot sights, & very realistic. I haven't chronyd it yet, but buy judging buy what's barely left of the peelets after I shoot them into a flat trap, I'd have to say this shoots WELL over 425fps! I'd guess it to more like 500+ fps.

    Things I would have changed:

Easier way to load CO2. They include a tool to unscrew the cap for it, but a quater works great too! A small price to pay to have the realistic look, with OUT anything hanging from the bottom of the gun. ;)

    Things I would have changed:

A co2 magazine like the Walther cp99 would be nice, but current co2 loading is more than adequate.

    What others should know:

I LOVE THIS GUN!! Talk about fun to shoot. If you are not into the polymer plastics as used on real firearms this gun is not for you. If this doesn't bother you, get one and you won't regret it. Shoots great with crosman premier wadcutters and beeman laser sport pellets. I did not purchase my pistol from pyramyd only due to its availabilty at a local sports store. I also put a bsa 30mm red dot with built in weaver rail on it. works great. Enjoy!!

    Things I liked:

It's really cool. Most people don't know what a Desert Eagle is so when they see this, they don't believe that a gun could be so big. The built in pic rail on the top is really convenient. The blowback is good and it's deadly accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

People say that it's all plastic. Actually, it's mostly metal covered with plastic. I wish they would have just finished the metal instead of covering it up. The trigger leaves a lot to be desired. The double action pull is long, stiff and difficult to use and the single action is just mushy and very light.

    What others should know:

The little wrench for the co2 chamber is annoying but I can live with it. This gun uses a lot of co2. I typically get about 30 full pressure shots per powerlet! People with small hands have a hard time handling this gun. I mean sometimes they can't even get their hands around the grip and still comfortably reach the trigger. Keep this in mind -- Oh, and go ahead and buy a scope now because this gun is way too accurate not to have one.

I love the blowback effect and the accuracy given by the 6" barrel, the weigh is impressive when you get it the first time in your hands.

    Things I would have changed:

I don't know why use a screw driver to insert the CO2 in the chamber, I used the same CO2 magazine loader like the CP99 (remember that both are UMAREX guns). When the trigger is cocked, have a long travel, the only difference is in the weigh to pull it

    Things I liked:

I didnt give the DEAGLE a very good rating for a few reasons... We'll get to it later. This DEAGLE is accurate that I anticipated due to its 6" barrel. And its more powerful than I thought. The pointed pellets would sink all the way inside the wooden fence that im shooting at. And this is no new fence... I'm talking about dried hard wood fence, which I think is impressive. The blowback action makes it exciting and gives it a little recoil effect... not much... buts its fun. Isn't fun that we look for on replica pistols? The trigger when cocked is very light, which is good to some and not so good to others. There is a removable picatinny rail at the bottom and a built in on top. So this means there are a lot of accesories that you can get for this pistol. I personlly dont use any scopes, lights or laser... and now for the things you dont want to hear...

    Things I would have changed:

OK not for the nasty part... This pistol is made of PLASTIC. But not just any ordinary plastic...It is made from polymer which is the same material they use for the real Glock and Walther P99's and the New Beretta Px4 Storm. However, everything exterior is made of polymer... Even the SAFETY and TRIGGER... I could probably live with the safety being plastic, but the trigger? I hoped it would feel solid, but it didnt. I dont squeeze it too tight with the fear of breaking it. The loading of the Co2 is another. I am impressed that the screw is concealed but you have to use a tool, which is provided, to be able to tighten the thightening screw for the Co2. And if you dont do it correctly the gun will leak and sometimes not even shoot.

    What others should know:

Bottom line... Blowback is realisic.. but thats about realistic it will ever get...
