    Things I liked:

Light weight, carbine size, accurate, good value, hits hard.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope is pretty cheap. Did not even put it on. Since this is a .25, not going to be shooting far enough to need a scope.

    What others should know:

Always wanted a .25 spring or gas ram break barrel in my stable. This gun hits hard and is accurate. I am just using the open sights. Like the ergonomics. It hits at least as hard as my Benjamin Marauder when I power that on co2. ...and that is hard enough to kill any garden pests up to raccoon size.

    Things I liked:

mine is in .25 and while i like how hard hitting it is, the accuracy is unacceptable. when i hold the muzzle lightly and also hold the forward end of the stock, i can feel free play at the breach, actually, all over the breach hinge pin. this is why it held 12" groups at 25 yards, and i tried different scopes with the same results. and that "free play" is why it will never be accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

make the breach hinge pin a much better fit.

    Things I liked:

This is a powerful rifle for the price. It feels good in the hand and shoots all of the pellets that I have tried accurately.

    Things I would have changed:

A solid heavier stock may lessen the recoil, which is a bear. You wouldn't think it bad being an air rifle, but it is. I am used to shooting vintage crosman co2 rifles so someone accostomed to shooting these types of rifles may not think it's so jarring.

    What others should know:

I did not mount the scope that came with it. I purchased a Hammers 3x9x32. It comes with a one piece ring/mount. I took off the scope stop that came with the rifle and used the stop pin that came with the scope. It sheared off after about 100 rounds and the scope started sliding. I am now using the stop that came with the rifle. The scope is a little too far forward but it is workable. Breaking the barrel is harder than expected. My brother has an old Daisy 120 and it's a hell of a lot harder to break than that was. But the again, the Daisy 120 is a .177 going just over 400fps. Overall, I would recommend this rifle. Minus one star for the jarring recoil. This is the second Hatsan edge vortex piston rifle I got from PA. I returned the first one D/T manufacturing defect. PA is a great company and I would recommend them to anybody.

Well made, very accurate and fun to shoot. I am new to airguns, but this is a lot of fun and will be a big surprise for my resident armadillo!!! I got the .25 cal.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

I think this is a very good value.

    Things I liked:

You can't beat the price. The stock is of good quality for a plastic stock. It's a 25 caliber and thumps hard. Had to wipe some oil of the stock when I received it so it's oily which is a good thing. I have gotten close to 100 pellets through it so far. Seems to be more accurate than I am though.

    Things I would have changed:

Stop selling this with a scope.

    What others should know:

I am shooting some older Webley Mosquito pellets that weigh 19.2 grs with an average muzzle velocity of 530fps. Also tried some H&N Excite Coppa-Spitzkugel pellets and they are running close to 400fps. Not fast but they thump hard.

The price. It's the cheapest way to get into 25 cal. The power is impressive. I shoot round balls and domes with great results

    Things I would have changed:

the trigger is a bit long and soft on the release.

    What others should know:

Don't think a child could use this, some adults would have a hard time breaking it.

    Things I liked:

This gun was purchased to be shot with open sights because my Crosman eats scopes for lunch and doesn't have iron sights. The Edge is a great value and I highly recommend this gun. It preforms better than the shooter (me) and really packs a punch. It has not been fussy about pellets either. The break in was very short though the barrel is stiff to cock. I`m sure it will loosen with continued use. In short, I can`t say enough good about this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I does make a ping when shot but it doesn't bother me. If your neighbors are close they might hear it.

    What others should know:

When compared to more expensive Chinese built guns this one comes out way ahead. If you are looking for a great gun at a reasonable price you can`t go wrong with the Hatsan Edge Vortex.

    Things I liked:

First off I bought the .25 caliber second this is my first as I hear so many ppl say Turkish gun but I call it proudly what it is a HATSAN I love this gun right out of the box the machining is great the stock is solid the power is right there I had a 10 for 10 done and the power is as advertised the trigger is fine with me and also the optima scope that came with it is not the best but for the money not bad just sight her in and drive those round in the same hole very accurate for the money. I would not change anything my first HATSAN gas spring but definitely not my last I advise you to get them now before they realize they should price it for more money.

    Things I would have changed:

Really not much it is not as bad to cock as I expected.ppl hipe it up but my wife can not cock it and a small man might have a little problem BUT it's not so bad the recoil is pretty good you almost forget your shooting an air rifle.

    What others should know:

It's a bit on the loud side but again not to bad I would recommend this gun highly but get the 10 for ten because if there is a problem they Will find it then and send you a new gun instead of getting it finding out you have an issue anyway great addition to the collection

    Things I liked:

I took a 30+/- yr hiatus from airguns. My Hatsan has surprised me. The hard hitting power this thing produces took me waaaaay off guard. The .22 19grn pellets blow through 3/4 particle board with an oak veneer without any trouble. I stole a beef rib bone from the dog pen and had my son shoot it @17 yards. It blew through it to my surprise. A nice clean hole on entry and exited 1 3/4" x 1 " wide on the backside. I plan on using this rifle for hunting and this proved to me as long as shot placement is right that I should see quick clean kills. It is a hit with my young sons...as long as dad is the one cocking it.

    Things I would have changed:

The SCOPE! I'd prefer the gun be sold for less and without a scope that almost everyone replaces either immediately or shortly after. The scope is never quite clear. Ever. The trigger reminds me of an SKS trigger. It travels way too far for this type of weapon. I'll be seeing what I can't do about it soon.

    What others should know:

This is a hunting class weapon and not a toy. My sons like it as long as I'm cocking it. It does take considerable effort to cock. Being new to spring ram piston guns I found the recoil...uh...surprising to say the least. I found myself flinching more than I do for my .22lr. Its not something I didn't work around but it wasn't what I expected. This is a good starter gun with hunting power. Id buy it again. Maybe in .25

    Things I liked:

What a rifle for the money!!!. I am extremely happy with this rifle. Out of the box and ever since, this thing has been very very accurate. I started with crossman premier pellets and the boxed scope and was not happy. Produced 3"-4" groups kind of all over at 15yds. I thought it may be the pellets so I bought some 17gr. Ruger superpoint from the box store but was still not tight as expected from Hatsan reviews. I removed the scope and shot with iron sites and OMG!!!!. The Ruger 17gr. pellets shot 10 shots inside half a dime. The crossman pirana (same as premiere) had the same result minus one flyer still within 1.5 in. I have sine put 400 Ruger pellets through and it is still impressing me every time I shoot. The pellets are inexpensive also.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope didn't hold up very long, but the gun pro's clearly make me forget the scope. I've had great success with iron sites.

    What others should know:

I live in a town home neighborhood and shoot into some woods behind my house and the noise does not bother any one. I love this gun and will get the one i originally wanted....My Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex in .25! Comin at cha'

    Things I liked:

I have 2 other .25 HATSAN SPRINGERS, BUT NEVER OWNED A vortex power pant, so I bought this, I could see inside the plastic wrapped when I took it out of the box, the resin for the composite main frame/stock was better quality than the old Hatsan .25 springers won, it a thicker, darker shinny black, with more aggressive side knurls grips, VERY nice indeed, the stock hold" is VERY comfortable, with a nice overall weight & balance, just to hold this thing in your hand, you know that Hatsan once again, ha steppd up there game, even the rubber shock assorbing pad on the butt end, is a better quality rubber than the old springers, went outside & shot about 4-5 rounds in the dusk, man this thing "HIT HARD, with a nice kick in yhour shoulder that you can surly feel, let you know you have something here for sure, it is it just shy of being abit loud on they ole, ear drums,. which I DONT MIND EITHER, THIS IS A "fantastic gun, per power to cost ratio, stop reading this & buy now, you WONT regreat!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, maybe more power, cuzz im power hungry, but this is clearly the best of the best of springers AND vortex power pants, one hell of a sweet refined gun, ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT!

    What others should know:

this gun is an animal in VORTEX FORM, .25 CAL, i HAVE TWO, HATSAN .25 SPRINGERS THIS VORTEX IS MY THIRD, ITS EVERY BIT AS GOOD & BETTER THAN THE REGULAR HATSAN SPRINGERS, IT JUST MORE REFINED classic carb hot rod meats modern fuel injection hot rod, the composite is better, rubber end, butt peace is better rubber, composite material is denser, smooth, shinnyer, better knurled griiiips on the side of main frame, still hard to cock, just smooth though, kinda like the diffrence from ball bearings, to no, ball bearings, & it kick like a mule, this gun doesn't play, its abit loud on the ear, which I like, & has a hefty kick in your should, which I Love too, if you want the best of the best, quite reading this review :) you buy a hatsan .25 cal vortex, but other .25 Hatsans I named Hammer time" because they hit, like no ones business, you WONT regret buying this brand, seconds out of the box, you'll see the quality abound, I couldn't be more pleased for the Third time :)

    Compact size, .25 caliber, power.

    Things I would have changed:

I am not a fan of the sights, I did not mount the scope that came with it. I am going to get different mounts and a hammers scope for it. The scope stop is placed too far forward.

    What others should know:

Not a bad value for the price of the gun. Takes some getting used to, as the stock is very hold sensitive.

    Things I liked:

This is my second Hatsan Edge. The first is a .177 cal. and was hard to cock and kicked like a mule but stacked pellets in one ragged hole. After 2505 pellets it has smoothed out with less cocking effort and less recoil with the addition of 2.25 pounds of lead in the stock. Still stacking pellets. The second is a .22 cal. and is easier to cock with less recoil and stacked the pellets in one hole. I expect it to smooth out after a few hundred pellets through it. It is no doubt a keeper.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

If you are not happy with your Hatsan Edge keep shooting it until you have a 1000 pellets through it before making a final judgement.

    Things I liked:

I picked one up in .25 caliber with 11% off for $89. Feel like I stole it. The most accurate out of the box air rifle I've acquired yet and I own 8 of them. Without touching the windage or elevation knobs it shoots 1" groups at about 17 yards (50'). I'm talking about taking out the bulls eye of 4" shoot 'n see targets which is maybe a 1/2" in diameter without adjusting the sights. Amazing! This is with the open sights, I don't think I'm going to mount a scope on this one. If I do it'll be a much better one than the one included with it. Cocking is easy, the shot cycle is smooth and it's light.

    Things I would have changed:

The rifle came inside a plastic bag that had an excess of oil in it. Consequently there was quite a bit of oil on the exterior than need to be cleaned off. The bore had a lot of oil in it as well. Took about 25 patches through it to get it all removed. I never fired it before cleaning out the barrel. If I had it would have dieseled a lot for a long time. Having an excess of oil is much better than receiving a rusty gun but someone went a little overboard. The trigger isn't the greatest as delivered but it's much better than the Beni/Crosmans and it's easy to make it very good. Cost me 27 pennies and about 20 minutes of my time. It's been said over & over but I wish the manufacturers would stop including the cheapo scopes and just knock a few bucks off the price.

    What others should know:

I didn't mention it above but I'm shooting JSB Kings and H&N crow magnums. I've got some lighter H&N FTTs coming to try as well.

Well built and powerful for the price. This is no toy and should be kept away from children just as you would a firearm.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

The iron sights jump around and require constant adjustment but the scope eliminates the need for them. I recommend find a medium weight 25cal pellet that you like and stick with it. Every time I change pellets I have to start sighting it in from scratch

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if it was a bit easier to reset the safety once you've turned it off.

    What others should know:

I am getting some oil blowback when I shoot this airgun. Sort of like grilling hamburgers. I end up with oil on my glasses.

    Things I liked:

Smooth cocking and firing cycle .Stock seems very solid and it is comfortable .Fully ambidextrous . One hole 5 shot groups at ten yards with 25.39gr jsb kings (have not had a change to shot it further).

    Things I would have changed:

The scope rings are very low quality ,they rock side to side when they are as tight as i dare get them .The finish is poor with rust on the compression tube and long scratches on the barrel fresh out of the box . Front sight is to close to the sight hood to get a decent sight picture .

    What others should know:

Replaced the included rings with a medium utg one piece mount , well worth the extra $15 .Make sure you locktite the stock and scope screws .The trigger pull is very long and the break is mushy but not overly heavy for hunting . Good close range pesting or hunting rifle on a budget . Will see how the included scope hold up .
