    Things I liked:

I LOVE THIS GUN! Great solid feel, snappy blowback, and very accurate! Modeled after a Glock 17 this gun is almost exact! The breach actually opens when the slide moves adding to the real feel of this gun, very similar to a .22Cal handgun. Mine may be the "good one" of the group? but it is very very accurate. Holds a very nice group at 25 feet. This gun does not dissappoint! Well worth the wait for the restock...

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is just lame... Umarex went through all the trouble to make the "double trigger" safety like a Glock, its even spring loaded and moves, why not make it function as the safety? placing the switch on ther side and breaking up the clean look was a bad move. SPARE MAGS!!! please Umarex!!! my mp5, USP, and now SA177.... JUST ONE CLIP?!?!?! not cool....

    What others should know:

This gun is worth every penny!!

    Things I liked:

A lot of shots per CO2 cartridge. All metal. Heavier than some BB pistols. Feels closer to the real thing.

    Things I would have changed:

Clip gives me some trouble sometimes. BB gets lodged partway into chamber and misfires.

    What others should know:

Over all it works good. Compared to the Gamo PT85, I like the Gamo better. My son likes this better. Personal preference I guess.

    Things I liked:

This is definitely a co2 miser as stated. I called Umarex and ordered 2 more clips. I get as many shots out of a co2 cart as I do with my non-blowbacks. Love the last shot "bolt hold open" feature.

    Things I would have changed:

I had trouble with the first one I ordered, but Pyramidair made it right and the replacement so far has run great, so quality control.

    What others should know:

Get this thing, plenty of BBs and a Marksman speedloader and have fun!

    Things I liked:

About 100 to 120 shots per CO2 cartridge. Quite accurate for a BB pistol. Shooting target at approximately 28, it groups well.

    Things I would have changed:

After the last shot the slide locks back but he gun still fires. Would be nice if trigger would lock out or something of the sort to prevent CO2 loss. I'll have to pay more attention when shooting I guess.

    What others should know:

Clip a little tricky sometimes. Spring slide hung up once. Lubed it up a little and it seems to work OK now. Looking for more clips. Can't find at Pyramyd Air sight.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Fairly accurate. I can consistently hit within the diameter of a fifty cent piece from 20-25 ft. I can unload the clip about 10 times per co2 cart. Feels good and heavy in the hand.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have either went with a fiber optic front post to accompany the rear sight, or just went with all white. It looks slightly awkward with the combination of both as it is.

    What others should know:

For the price, this is a great gun. The blowback action is a nice feature and doesn't seem to use much extra co2. I would recommend this gun to anyone wanting a heavy duty air pistol. Others have commented on the co2 seals leaking after a few uses. I have used around 50 tanks in mine, and it still seals nicely.

    Things I liked:

everything, performance, power, and similar to my G17

    Things I would have changed:

the white plastic sight on front, it will look better with optic fiber all..., and the safety switch is to big for a glock holster, and feels a little hard when switching to fire mode, i believe is for kids protection. it would look better if there was color options, like CAMO, GREEN, GREY

    What others should know:

feels like my Marlin .22 rifle (real firearm), it kicks like it and sound almost like it, bbs fall out when you take off the mag, not all just the one in chamber. awesom gun, for price, quality, and handling, very comfortable, and you can practice with this one first after jumping into real glocks, if you want your first gun to be like the real deal, this is for you

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

The fact that the magazine base hides the piercing lever. I also like that the CO2 loads through the backstrap rather than pulling off a grip panel. A nice, heavyweight magazine rather than the flappy plastic mag on the PPK. I like the lock back mag follower as well as the speed load hole in the back of the mag rather than having to feed the BB's on one at a time from the top of the mag.

    Things I would have changed:

Umarex showed that they can make a true semi-auto blowback pistol with the PPK. The slide reciprocates and recocks the hammer after each shot on the PPK. On the SA17, it's a double action only pistol where you're recocking the striker with your finger at each trigger pull. The PPK has a last shot hold-open that actually does something. The action on the slide If the slide is locked back on the PPK, you can't fire the pistol. On the SA177, it's for cosmetics only.

    What others should know:

It's beer can accurate at 21 feet. That's pretty much what you should expect from a pistol like this. It's not going to win a 10M match, but it's not supposed to. It's a can bouncer and that's just fine. Also, the sights on my pistol actually correspond to the point of impact at 21 feet. My PPK is off by about 3" at that range. I picked mine up for $50 out the door. It's a handful of fun for fifty bucks.

    Things I liked:

very comfortable feel to it , nice grip even with a big hand , the blowback is a great selling point and addon for a gun this price , fairly accurate once you get used to it . the fibre optic sight is nice in the rear . easy clip to load with bb's and the clip has a nice realistic look to it when in the weapon , once you get used to the trigger pull it is a real fun gun and yes very good on co2 i get a good 90 shots that are accurate before it starts to drop off . very nice and easy to change a co2 cartridge .slider stays back when you have spent your last shot .

    Things I would have changed:

add a bit stronger spring to the blowback slider , tends to go back quite freely when holstering but it may save a bit of co2 hence the reason for that , and adjustable rear sight would be nice on this model as well as others .

    What others should know:

accurate , great on co2 , nice metal clip and easy to load great bang for the buck you won't have any regrets with this addition to your collection of pistols .

    Things I would have changed:

make the safety button smoother to activate.

    What others should know:

    What others should know:

This gun is non-repairable as per an e-mail I received from UmarexUSA, so if it is more than 90 days old, and it needs repaired, than throw it away and buy a new air pistol.

    Things I liked:

pretty accurate for a non-rifled barreled bb pistol. hits soda cans at 25 feet easily and in the spot you aim within about 1" to an 1.5". at least mine did. 380fps power is plenty, punched right through two soda cans back to back at 25ft. and didn't knock them over. just shredded holes through them and kept going until the bb hit the backstop 10 feet behind it. working slide is nice, helps with proper grip for using real firearms, and keeping your thumb out of the way. decently built. very conservative on co2. i got around 80 shots out of a cylinder, which included me rapid firing a bunch of them. also included me letting the pistol sit charged for a couple of hours in between firings, and when loading it orginally, not being too quick and letting some of the gas escape, more than i would have liked. plus looks like a scaled back glock 19. grip angle is similar to an actual glock.

    Things I would have changed:

not much, works and works well. slightly lower price would be nice though. maybe get license right from glock to label it as such.

    What others should know:

a little loud, for heavy suburban shooting, which is where i live. neighbor complained, but in fairness i live in an almost zero lot line setup, and the neighbor who complained is a tightwad and anti-gun of any kind type of person, and he was outside and thought it was a nail gun initially. we have a restriction on power tools beofre 8am, and iw as shooting at 8:15am. anyways, you get the concept.... ymmw. still is a bit loud, but not as loud as a crosman c11 for comparison. magazine availability is a problem also. impossible to find, at least at the time i am writing this review. if you like to pre-load mulitiple magazines and shoot targets, this could be a problem for you. something to consider. other than those, this gun is fun and decently accurate. sure it won't match professional target guns accuracy, but it's a bb pistol and pretty good for that. also the 380fps, while i didn't chrono mine, i think it's plenty of power and shooting a 480fps crosman at the same time as this one back and forth i couldn't tell the power difference in 25ft. range. both punched through soda cans and shredded them. shooting rats or pests the power will show i am sure, but for targets and soda cans....i couldn't tell any difference.

    Things I liked:

The looks and performance are great, typical of all Umarex products. Blowback feature is cool. Styling is tactical. Accuracy is more than acceptable for this style of airgun. Power is also a plus.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe the location of the safety. It looks like it would hamper the fit in most modern holsters.

    What others should know:

This is a great airgun! with the accessory rail, personalizing this pistol should be relatively easy, as well as practical for your needs.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

The look, weight, & feel are excellent. The kick from the blowback action is really cool feeling when blasting a soda can across the yard. The metal magazine & CO2 cartridge both incorporated into the grip is a plus. The slide locking back when you're out of ammo adds a cool sense of realism when plinking around the backyard. When on SAFE the trigger still pulls giving you opportunity to practice your trigger pull.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe the slide having a bit less "clank" from the blowback when firing to accent the sound of the CO2 blast a little more. By no way am I implying this takes away from the performance.

    What others should know:

This baby will hold 20 BB's as opposed to the 16 it advertises. It also has plenty of oil in the joints when you pull it out the package. It's also not a pinpoint accurate pistol using the sights. Maybe when the weather gets warmer around here the accuracy will pick up a bit but it's still a heckuva lotta fun!

    Things I liked:

Feels pretty good in the hand. Accuracy is better than my Beretta px storm by a little but not quite as good as the smith and wesson m&p. Slide locks back when magazine is empty. Functional rail for accesories.

    Things I would have changed:

The blowback is not realistic so I would increase it to feel like the Beretta storm or remove the function all together. Blowback in the sub $100 range seems to have a significant affect on accuracy and precesion to some degree. In this pistol it is probably creating more problems than it is worth.

    What others should know:

Had to return the pistol after a bb jammed the barrel. Only 200 rounds had been fired before this occured. Pyramid took care of it with no hassles.

It feels like a real hand gun. The accuracy is great, the way it looks is good. Its really a good bb gun.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be better if the blowback was not so easy to push back, and if the clip looked like a real clip.

    What others should know:

Its a really cheap bb gun that feels like a real gun. Its worth it to buy it.

Gun has a very realistic feel, weight, look, and function to it. The blow back action is incredibly realistic and feels perfect in my hand. Even though only the barrel, slide, & magazine are metal it feels as if the whole gun was made of steel.

    Things I would have changed:

    Things I liked:

The ergonomics are real close to a Glock - great practice for pennies

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is stiffer than the actual firearm it copies'. I have 30 years of revolver shooting and it is really not that bad for short range. Helps build your muscles.

    What others should know:

For the price of 5-6 boxes of firearm ammo the cost of the BB gun has paid for itself. I like mine.

    Things I liked:

Great look, looks just like a Glock 17. Preforms very well when it comes to accuracy. Perfect for outdoor fun and target shooting. Nice smooth blowback action that simulates a real firearm. Well constructed with high quality performance.

    Things I would have changed:

    Lighter trigger, but nothing else.

    What others should know:

When using a fresh Co2 it will take about 5 shots for the gun to warm up and reach its maximum performance. This gun is a must have for pistol collectors.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

This is a big BB pistol, with a heavy, robust feel to it. Slide blow back is hard and noisy. Excellent magazine - robust metal, good spring action to hold BBs. Good magazine release. Adequate sights given that this is NOT an inherently accurate BB pistol. Takes a laser. At 15 feet, slow fire trying for accuracy, I keep 18 shots within a 2 1/2 inch circle, with a few shots more or less in the bulls eye. Rapid fire, I keep around 18 shots inside a 2 3/4 circle, nothing near the bull. (Granted I am only an average pistol shot.) Shoots roughly 115 BB's before there is a severe drop off in power. I just plan on shooting six or seven mags (of 16-18 BB's each) and then changing the CO2 cylinder. I'm happy with 100-120 shots per cylinder, and why waste BB's and time ion order to milk a couple of dozen low powered extra shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Biggest problem with the gun is loading the CO2 cylinder. The "key" to tighten the cylinder is well concealed in the grip, BUT it is consequently a very small half-moon affair that flips around on a pivot (i.e., it is not fixed in the turning position.) I can't turn the key quickly enough with my fingers to avoid losing a bunch of CO2. SO .... I have learned to turn the key (once it is just snugged into the mechanism) with a pair of fairly wide-jawed pliers. It takes a fair amount of rotation to get the CO2 cylinder punctured and stop the leaking. The double action ONLY trigger is god-awful .. lots of slack.

    What others should know:

The blow back action is noisy and rough .. it really shakes the pistol. This doesn't matter in rapid fire, but it throws off your aim if you are trying to shoot for accuracy. If you like lots of slam-bam shake and noise from a reciprocating slide, you will love this pistol. I beat (sort of ) the lousy long trigger pull (when shooting for accuracy) by pulling it way back until it feels like it is near the end of its travel..... THEN I shift to my aim point and complete the pull. Its a fun gun, but there is nothing "slick" about it.

    Things I liked:

Nice size, fits well in hand. Blowback with fresh co2 is impressive, actual has somewhat of a kick like the real pistol. Resembles a Glock 22. Easy load for co2, magazine drops right out for easy loading. Excellent front and rear sights, very accurate at 10-20 yards. About 60-80 rounds before you need to reload a new co2 cartridge. Slide locks open when your bingo on ammo !!!

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if this pistol could shoot pellets.

    What others should know:

Buy lots of extra magazines, this pistol is a blast !!! Also, purchase a tube of pellgunoil for $2.99. Keeps the seals fresh !!!
