The weight, blowback action, and glock styling. This is my first blowback and it is awesome! I`ve always wanted a glock styled co2 pistol.

It could have white dot sights. Other than that NOTHING!

Don`t get this pistol from UMAREX directely. It costs a little more. I only did it because you guys were out of stock at the time, and I couldn`t wait! Other than that GET THIS PISTOL!

I like it very realistic appearance and heft. The S.A. 177 is made in Taiwan for Umarex. It is a very realistically looking replica of the Glock 17/19. Fit and finish are very good. The S.A.177 has a metal barrel shroud in which the proper 4.5mm steel barrel is inserted but it is made nearly invisible. When you look at the front of the pistol you have the impression of looking at the barrel of a real Glock 17/19. The S.A. 177 has a blowback function and its metal slide has a realistically looking "ejection port" and locks back when the magazine is empty. The blowback action is extremely strong. The 16-shot drop out magazine is metal but its butt plate is plastic. The magazine does NOT house a CO2 powerlet which I like. CO2 is inserted separately into the grip. The magazine butt plate completely covers an insert for a CO2 powerlet in the grip so a completely flat grip butt enhances the realistic appearance. The muzzle velocity of the pistol exceeds 380 fps given in the specs. A very consistent muzzle velocity combined with huge recoil makes this pistol a fun to shoot.

I would change plastic trigger to a metal one. A backstrap which is really a cover for a CO2 powerlet looks a bit flimsy and is loose at the hinges and flexes a bit when gripped by hand during shooting. A white optical fiber at the front sight protrudes too much forward from the metal support and can be easily broken. I would add a field stripping capability which is not available now (at least I couldn't figure out how to field strip the pistol). I would change a plastic magazine butt plate to a metal one. The trigger pull may be a bit hard for people with weak fingers. A safety switch is pretty hard to move and looks fragile.

I chronographed shooting Daisy Premium Grade Zinc Plated BBs at a temperature of 63F. The average muzzle velocity in a rapid fire was 399.6„b9.5 fps and 400.3„b4.7 fps for shots 1-15 and 16-30, respectively. The muzzle velocity is outstanding for a blowback BB pistol. It is much higher than that for the CP 99 Compact or GSG 92. 75 shots per powerlet are possible with 10 min breaks after each 15 shots. When you aim the pistol at the target use a "6 o'clock" aiming technique with still a small gap between the front sight and the black bullseye at the target. I shot at 25 feet with both hands at the Crosman 25' Rapid Fire Pistol Target. For the total of 60 shots, 10 shots were flyers outside of the last target ring, 15 shots were inside the black bullseye and the rest was located within a 4.2" diameter circle which is the last target ring. Obviously, it is not a target pistol but the accuracy is more than adequate for an action pistol. It seems that the blowback action has nothing to do with actually cocking and firing the gun. For the price of $55.99 the S.A. 177 is a bargain.

Sights are very nice, weight is realistic, quite acurate for a bb pistol

the cool look of glock, very little kick, light weight, long c02 life, accuracy, power

the trigger is the crappiest trigger mechanism i have EVER had on a gun, the magazine is a little weird taking out at times, the cheap plastic feel of it.

it is cool because of the look, power accuracy. reliability is a little weird. with the trigger, the gun actually loads the bb in a different stage than the actual fire stage. because of this, if the gun is pointing down the bb will fall out.

just got the gun yesterday and fired a few hundred rounds through it. it seems to be an accurate gun and fun to shoot, i like the blow back and how the slide locks back when you are out of ammo like the real thing. cool gun and at a good price, and from a person that shoots many real firearms ill recommend it

As with all the C02 pistols i buy, A blow-back Feature is my number one requirement, and Pyramyd Air helps me distinguish that on some of the newer models. The second thing i loved about this gun is the magazine, which houses the C02 as well as the BBS. this makes the magazine itself look far more realistic.

AS with all blow-back Pistols, the FPS and Accuracy is somewhat compromised by the recoil of the slide.
