The Ultimate Sporter XS Xtra takes Air Arms' most prized PCP and adds even more value to a platform already at the height of its powers. With an introduction of a fully-regulated system, the Air Arms S510 XS is the S510 action perfected, with more shots per fill than ever before.
This variant features a finely crafted Walnut stock, with luxurious etching that reflects Air Arms dedication to traditional craftsmanship. This XS’s precision checkering on the grip and forend, fine curves and grooved handholds make this PCP a worthy mantlepiece. The Minelli stock comes complete with an adjustable, soft-touch coated cheekpiece, adjustable buttpad, integrated sling mounts, and an accessory rail ready to accept bipods or even a palm shelf.
Customers requested a regulated S510 and Air Arms delivered, all while boosting the power of the increasingly popular .25 caliber. With this regulated upgrade, the XS can achieve a whopping 44 ft-lbs in .25, 32 ft-lbs in .22 and 20 ft-lbs in .177. Power isn't the only thing increasing in the XS. The XS regulator offers increased consistency and shot counts from the 288cc cylinder, delivering an impressive 60 (.177), 55 (.22) and 40 (.25) shots per fill with minimal velocity change. These long shot strings are further aided by a built-in power adjuster. Each XS Xtra features the prized Lothar Walther barrel, which gives this platform its renowned accuracy. Each rifle includes 2 of Air Arms perfected 10-shot indexing magazines, smooth side-lever cocking mechanism and an easy to read built-in manometer.

This gun is amazingly accurate. At 50 yards I can shoot,10 shot, dime size holes all day long. If I was a better shot the gun would shoot even smaller holes. The trigger is smooth, consistent and breaks like glass. The bud pad and cheek pad are fully adjustable and can be configured too fit anybodys head and shoulder position. This is my first side cocking air gun and I cant believe how smooth and easy it cocks. And lets not forget this gun is just extremely beautiful fit and finish are spectacular.

What others should know:For this level of sophistication the price is definitely fair.

This is my first pcp rifle, and I must say, I am quite impressed. This rifle is well made, accurate, and powerful. I have only shot it out to 100 yards, but I understand it can fire accurately to 200-300 yards.

How does this gun handle (.25) H&N 28 Grain Slug's or say the H&N 36 Grain Slugs ? Do you think I could get decent grouping say 2" at 50 yards ? I can't find any video's with this newer rifle testing .25 cal ammo, anybody know of any YouTube video's ? I'd really appreciate it!
I noticed in the Air Arms S510 Manual, a warning to not dry fire this rifle or risk permanent damage to the rifle. How can dry firing damage this rifle?
I just received this gun and after 30-40 pellets the second stage trigger resistance is gone. I had not planned on adjusting trigger. But now there seems to be no instruction on increasing second stage resistance. Is it defective?

Beautiful, accurate, balanced, swivels, cheek and stock pad adjustments, 2 clips. Settings 2-5 shoot consistently at 20 yards, haven't tried it at longer ranges. Most people don't like the safety, but I think it's okay. I like that the air tank is smaller, not looking to spend hours shooting.
Things I would have changed:Would add a handle on the cocking lever, will order a off brand one. On mine, when you open the breech, it doesn't open quite enough to get the clip in. So, I have to hold the lever back to get the clip in, it's really close and might be okay after some use. The clip and the stop are 10MM high and the 11MM to picatinny mount almost slides over the top, maybe a Hawke mount might work. I would like to add a single piece scope mount to hold the scope, so I'm thinking I might need a longer picatinny rail. I would like the scope mount to be quicktach, my aimpoint T-1 is, and it transferred from my 22 rimfire without any adjustment at 20 yds. Would use that for hunting since it is light.
What others should know:The gun shipped very well. I checked the walnut stock over 3 times, and I couldn't fined a scratch, a marr, a dent or anything else. The stock is absolutely beautiful.
