First....the 56mm Objective is very bright. Lots of light gathering means low light performance is great. The target area at higher magnifications.....like 40 power.......is not dark like some of the other high end scopes. Second......the 10-40 zoom range is a fantastic range. Close up targets at 10 power and distant targets at 40 power are like right in front of you. Third......The build on this scope is excellent. I also have a Hawke Sidewinder and I would say that the Aeon is on par with the Hawke at almost half the cost. Fourth......This scope holds settings like a professional rifle scope should. I can take it off my gun and put it back on and it will be sighted in like I never took it off.
Things I would have changed:There is really nothing that I would change. It is a great scope at a fantastic price.
What others should know:The Aeon 10-40 X 56 with the trajectory reticle is always on back order. I was lucky to get mine when it was in stock. I also have the Mil dot version and it is a fine scope also...but I prefer the trajectory reticle as it is easier for me to relate to as far as holdover and windage goes. Either one is a great choice.

Have had one on my AR15 for about 3 years, has held zero all that time.

Very clear glass. Very well defined reticle. Excellent focus even at close range.
Things I would have changed:It would be nice to have a large focus wheel but at this price I wouldn't really expect it.
What others should know:If you want a high power optic it's pretty hard to beat this one. I really like it.
