Hawke Sport Optics Hawke Vantage 3-9x50 Price

$229.99

A good deal for a high-quality scope with illumination! This HD scope is a hunting scope. You'll spend more time shooting and less time fiddling with your scope trying to acquire your target.

Illuminated reticles add another dimension to your shooting because you can adjust the brightness of the mil-dot reticle to suit the ambient lighting conditions. Plus, the red and green colors of the mil-dots let you see your reticle against just about any critter or target

This Hawke Sport Optics scope has an etched-glass reticle, which is superior to a wire reticle because it's finer and therefore much more precise. You'll get even more accuracy from your gun! Another way that etched-glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often reflect the illumination in the objective lens, which can be distracting when shooting.

Things I liked:

mounted it on a hatsan 95 with no problems with zero changing mounted on a hatsan 95 in 22 cal. with hefty recoil. no floating zero problems after 500 test rds. i love the red or green illuminated reticle and light gathering 50 mm ao lens which makes it perfect for early dawn or late dusk rabbit in the wifes garden. also at night with the garage flood light on the green reticle is murder on those pesky rabbits!

Things I would have changed:

nothing

What others should know:

great value for the money. i don't think i'll mount one on my 350 mag because of the fierce recoil of this cannon but the hawke handles the 95 (a known cheap scope eater) with ease. the one fly in the ointment is the numbers for the objective lens are not accurate but not disconcerting enough to pull my hair out lol. the battery for the IR will probably outlast the gun, ha

Things I liked:

i mounted it on my hatsan 95 in 22 cal, even with the sas system in the 95 i think there is still a lot of recoil. the scope the gun came with didn't last long! however i pulled my hawke ir 3-9x50 off the diana 48 and slid it on the 95 for pellet tryouts. the zero stays where it should be after 150 rds

Things I would have changed:

nothing

What others should know:

the ao numbers on the lens are off quite a bit ie 30 yd mark is really 20yds. it takes a little getting used to.
