Perfect replica, decent weight, and excellent handling. Nice solid kick, and positive slide cycling action.
Things I would have changed:Too much slack all over this gun. The slide rattles, and there is play between the inner and outer barrels. Also, this is not the Maruzen P99 so positively reviewed elsewhere on the web; this version has a flimsy plastic outer barrel and chamber, with no marking on part of the chamber visible through the ejection port when the slide is in battery. Other versions have the trademark and "9mmx19" stamped on this part. The guide rod is plastic, too, which was really surprising, and the recoil spring seems weak – slide sticks about a half inch from the front of the frame on occasion when racking manually.
What others should know:Overall, a nice gun, shoots decently, but build quality of the slide and barrel disappointing. This appears to be an export-only version and is distributed by Umarez USA (the manual is in English). A metal outer barrel upgrade would be great, but parts are impossible to find now. A metal slide would be great, but same problem with availability, and you'd need to install a heavier recoil and hammer spring, and possibly use only green gas to get the heavier slide to cycle properly.

Great detail. Functioning decocker like the real deal. Trigger system is like the real steel. Adjustable rear sight.
Things I would have changed:ABS Plastic Slide - its a joke. If it was metal I would consider this one of the nicest GBB replicas ive ever held. FYI - Metal slides are almost impossible to come by so dont think this will be an easy upgrade. If you do find one, its going to cost about what the pistol cost after shipping and might not even have the walther trademarks. Plastic outer barrel and guide rod. This I dont understand as the some of the older ones had metal ones. Maruzen, what is that all about? And why is this not based on the newer P99 without ski-hump trigger guard and weaver rail. Too much play between outer and inner barrel that sometimes causes jams during blowback cycle.
What others should know:If you want a P99 just to collect and shoot from time to time, get it as you'll love it. If you want a skrim viable pistol, don't. I gave 1 star for value because it is way overpriced considering the lack of metal parts and its durability, but alas, its like the only p99 GBB on the market....

This is the second one I've purchased both work great! I run mine with propane, and even though the slide is plastic, I've never had an issue with this gun (the other P99 I've had for about 6 years.) This gun looks extremely cool, and it feels really good in hand, almost the same as my real steel P99. gas consumption is also really good, I tend to get about two and a half mags off of one charge.
Things I would have changed:The plastic slide and outer barrel for one, there is a shooters design metal kit out there but good luck finding it, it's been discontinued for a long time now. it would also be cool if this gun came with the extra back straps like my real P99 did (seeing as how you can remove it like the real one.) also a new model with the picatinny front rail instead of a proprietary one, and the longer mag release levers would be really cool. Honestly I would love for KWA or WE-Tech to make a P99 model.
What others should know:At it's low price point you can't go wrong with this gun. With proper maintenance, this gun will serve any airsofter well as a reliable sidearm.
