Things I would have changed:I would change the whole thing altogether, i got a a defect. What others should know:I ordered this pump for my pcp rifle and from the beginning it was pumping air too slow or barely pumping at all.After a few months of use.It wouldnt pump at all no matter how hard i tried.Finally i tried to dissassemble it to try and fix it. But its sealed waaaaay too tight.I still cant fix it to this day. And my warranty is gone.
Things I would have changed:Relocate the holding pin which is located on the base of the shaft. What others should know:(Like others said before me),you have to be careful with a holding pin on the base of the pump (which holds the pumping shaft secure to the base for transporting purposes),when pumping your rifle.If not you can damage it on the down-stroke of pumping your rifle.Many customers complain about the length of the hose being too short and wishing it was longer.I think it was designed that way as a safety measure.The hose holds extremely high pressure and if it was any longer ,and "Murphy's Law" came into play,than some serious injury can be expected with that high pressure hose whipping around.
Things I would have changed:the steel button that hold the upper part of the pump closed for storage will jam when hit on . nothing that affects the funtion of the pump to build pressure it like something overseen by the manufacturers. What others should know:eat you cheerios this baby get heavy after 2500 nothing impossible if you use your straight arm and body weigth helps if your 170# -good luck
