Pyramyd's great return policy
Things I Would Have ChangedWhatever it was in my brain that thought buying one of these was a good idea.
What Others Should KnowI wanted an inexpensive dot sight to mount on a M4-177 and really liked the integral laser design. The dot was all over the place with the slightest of head movements. Pyramyd quickly replaced it, but the second unit would not retain windage or elevation adjustments. Apparently it's possible to get one that functions correctly, as the previous reviews have shown, but I wasn't that lucky.
By the way, I use the term 'dot' loosely..On both sights it was more of a splotch, although it did get a bit more round on higher settings.
I've since mounted an old Tasco I had lying around and all is right with the world again.
Looks great. very accurate, laser and red dot Couldn't seem to zero first one and they replaced it. PA has great serivice and prices.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt's a little big and a little heavy ,11 mm dove tail adapter is needed in some applications.
What Others Should KnowI got it for Marauder pistol flexable eye relief, so it works with pistol or with carbine stock. Nice sight.
I have it on my Gamo PT-85 and it works great it stays on target and the laser makes it even better.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot A than.
What Others Should KnowIt takes A little time to site it in but it is worth it.

GIANT sized objective lenses let you get on target very quickly. Having the option to use the laser with or without the red dot is an excellent feature, and if you're clever you can sight them in for different distances. For instance, sight the red dot in to 10 meters and the laser in to 30 meters.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe instructions are very nearly worthless, and probably explain the frustrations some others have had with this unit. The red dot is not the brightest thing in the world, and it does NOT come with a cover for the lenses (which seems very odd). The laser is OK but also not the brightest thing in the world.
What Others Should KnowI suspect the reviewers that couldn't get this unit to zero in were trying to use the function that lets you turn on BOTH the laser and the red dot. I can see where one would chase their tail for a long time trying to get that to work. If you're bent on doing it, sight in the red dot FIRST, then the laser. Since the laser rides alongside the red dot's housing, any changes to the red dot's aim will move the the laser, but changes to the laser should not affect the red dot (if the sight is mounted tightly to the rail).
