Shooting Chrony chronographs measure the velocity of almost any projectile, including pellets, steel BBs, plastic and metal airsoft BBs, bullets, shotgun pellets and slugs, arrows, bolts, darts, paintballs and just about any other projectile. Shooting Chrony chronographs measure speed (feet per second and meters per second) from 30 fps to 7,000 fps with more than 99.5% accuracy.

F-1 CHRONY - The very first model and still the most popular. Provides numbered shots and velocities.

All Chrony models are powered by a single 9V battery and can be easily attached to a 1/4"-20 tpi camera tripod for fast, easy set up. The Chrony is simple to use, just unfold the box, set the diffusers in place if needed, turn on the switch and start shooting.

Things I liked:Works great! Folds up for storage and comes with sun shades. Provides the option for a remote and printer setup.
Things I would have changed:Provide a atleast 1 battery.
What others should know:This is the basic model and does not have a function button, it omly shows you fps.

Things I liked:Easy to set up, easy to use. Portable and very repeatable.
Things I would have changed:Ability to upgrade this unit is limited. If you think you may want to reset remotely or to use the recording printer, upgrade first. I didn't need it and don't miss it.
What others should know:If shooting indoors, buy the aux light source. I went from 40% errors to zero with the auxiliary light source installed.

Things I liked:Works for me. It is a basic device that does what it needs to do. I use it to know precisely the fps. Using this in combination with the Hawke ballistic charts and program I find this unit to be very helpful.
Things I would have changed:Nothing, as for a private person it does what it needs to do, nothing fancy is required.
What others should know:If you are serious about airguns knowing the fps speed of a pellet is mandatory. Both for the ballistic curve and downrange energy. This is a no frills fully adequate device that does its job well.

  • RifledDNA from USA asked:

Says nothing about shot strings, stored anything, etc... does it hold a string or do you get the one reading per shot and just write it down if you need to collect the info?

    • Dan the Man from USA:

No, it just holds one shot.

    • Cory from USA:

It does not record strings, it shows the velocity of the last shot fired only.

  • Maciej from Poland asked:

Does this particular chronograph gives a measurment in meters per second or only fps ?

    • Dan the Man from USA:

      Both.

    • Cory from USA:

      FPS only on this model.
