Here are the benefits of the IGT over a metal mainspring:
    • Smoother cocking
    • Smoother shooting
    • No spring torque
    • No spring fatigue, even if you leave it cocked for hours
    • Functions perfectly in cold weather
    • Lasts longer than a metal spring

Gamo has entered the field of gas pistons with a Whisper! The Bone Collector Bull Whisper IGT air rifle is not only incredibly powerful, but it has many special features that'll set it apart from ordinary breakbarrel rifles with regular metal springs. Their proprietary gas piston means you can cock the gun and wait to take your next shot without worrying about a metal spring taking a set or weakening. Gas pistons are robust and do not lose anything in either area. Plus, gas pistons are known to shoot MUCH smoother and deliver less twang and vibration to the shooter!

Let's talk about the Shock Wave Absorber recoil pad. There's an entire industry centered around making aftermarket recoil pads. Their intent is to reduce the felt recoil, because constant recoil pounding into your shoulder is painful and will stop you from shooting as much as you want. While the gas piston is going to seriously reduce the vibration, the SWA recoil pad will stop you from feeling most of the recoil from the remaining movement of the gun.

In the past, Gamo customers have swapped out their triggers with aftermarket ones. No need to do that anymore! The Smooth Action Trigger is light years better than the previous version. It's smooth and predictable. What will that do for you? It'll improve your groups. Unpredictable and heavy triggers or triggers that don't break crisply are often responsible for delivering larger groups. You'll be amazed at how good a shot you are when you shoot the Bone Collector Bull Whisper IGT air rifle!

Things I liked:the price is right and it has plenty of power
Things I would have changed:I would add iron sights
What others should know:it comes in 22 and 177

Things I liked:The trigger is outstanding! Its smooth, consistant, and is the perfect weight and length. Another thing I love is the stock. It's a very high quality synthetic all weather stock in that bone collector green and black with rubber grips.
Things I would have changed:The scope and the rings. The scope is constantly moving because of the poor quality rings and you need a higher powered scope for a gun this nice.
What others should know:If your looking for a quality air rifle for a great price this is the gun for you. I live in an urban neighborhood and shoot all the time, and people don't even know I shoot.

Things I liked:The smooth cocking cycle weight of the gun guietness of the shoot's overall look and feel.
Things I would have changed:Trigger and scope package. This is my forth gamo they build a nice product then include in my opinion the worst optics in the industry.
What others should know:The gun is both accurate and reliable easy and light to carry all day not to mention shoot. The igt system really makes this gun a beauty.

What are the best pellets to use for this gun in .22 cal

      • Ted from USA asked:

The first time I shot my 22 cal. Bull Whisper fire shot out the muzzle and it was as loud as a 22 long rifle. I am shooting 14.3 gr. pellets will this rifle quiet down after it breaks in?

        • Max from USA asked:

Hi i am looking for a bolt action pellet rifle that come with a scope and is a .177 cal

          • jason from USA asked:

is this airgun good 4 hunting coon

            • Ray from USA:

I really wouldn't recamend any 177 cal rifles for a coon , you would probably be better off with a 22 cal , but with that said , I did take out a coon that was trespassing in my barn " with this exact rifle in 177 cal . It took 2 shots behind his right ear , I'am not sure if I realy needed the second shot, but I wanted to make sure he was done . This bone collecter as far as cheaper end break barells go is a very hard hitting rifle . I believe that coon was sickly as well .

          • Ray from USA asked:

What is the best dovetail scope mount to use on this gun? The rings supplied have a tendency to move even with the rear stop pin in place. This affects accuracy and is frustrating.

            • Art from USA:

The BKL's are i think the best you can buy. They sure do not move around like some others.

          • Frank A from USA asked:

I am considering a rifle with the IGT system. I've read about the Umarex guns and have experienced a Nitro in a Benjamin. Which is the best gas system?

            • Ray from USA:

At this price point you can't go wrong with the gamo bone collector . I have a lot of break barel rifles and this is still one of my favorite guns to shoot . It's very lite , yet durable , great feel but has a bit of recoil that the factory scope rings can't handle . This guns worth the extra couple dollars for a one piece dove tail that will stay put !

            • Tyler from USA:

I like the Umarex gas ram rifles the best. Their recoil is the least harsh of the gas rams I have shot. That's not to say the others are not good, and I wouldn't say one is the best as they are all very similar except for the Umarex. To me, the Umarex rammed guns are a bit more friendly in the recoil department.

          • James from USA asked:

I recently bought a Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper in 177 Cal. Nothing on the manual tells me how to clean it. If I use a bore brush will it damage the baffles? Can anyone advise on proper protocall for cleaning an IGT rifle with baffles?

            • Tyler from USA:

I would recommend taking a drinking straw and inserting it in the end of the shroud in an effort to create a proper pathway for your bore brush to travel that will not touch the baffles.
