    Gamo's original Whisper air rifle was an incredible rifle that just about took over the spring gun market. It's hard to believe they could improve it, but they did!

    The Gamo Silent Stalker Whisper is an engineering wonder because of Gamo's IGT gas piston. The Inert Gas Technology makes the Silent Stalker Whisper a superior hunting machine that performs reliably in any weather, under any condition and for years without any maintenance. Spring guns are notorious for not performing well in very cold weather. Guns with metal mainsprings have tar and lube on the springs. The greases thicken when the temperature goes real low. A gas piston, on the other hand, needs no lube. Therefore, it won't have any of the problems experienced by springers.

    Besides the gas spring, Gamo's Silent Stalker Whisper has the same ND52 technology found in the rest of the Whisper series. ND52 is a noise dampening system that permanently fits on the muzzle and decreases the report (noise) by 52% over springers without the system.

    Things I liked:Pretty easy cocking, hard hitting, nice quick break -in period. Quiet and that made it perfect for my close neighborhood..
    Things I would have changed:The scope mount gave me a little trouble at first.. But the folks at PA worked with me.
    What others should know:Gamo has come a long way toward working to satisfy the airgun customers..

    Things I liked:It shoots nice straight from the box. Good trigger, No spring so I can leave it cocked. Has plenty of punch for possums and combined with the accuracy a real confidence builder.
    Things I would have changed:The scope spun the reticle straight away. I changed it for a cheap and chearfull niko sterling with mil dot and all the goodies which works super well. Could be a little more comfortable where you put your trigger hand through the stock.
    What others should know:I have not owned an airgun for some time and man they have come a long way! At 30mters I put a pellet in a carboard box then just fire 5 more at the hole to practice! Never very far away and I am still fooling with pellet types and getting back into shooting well!
