Things I liked:not as noisy as the sniper 125 that is for sure that i have and no kick at all, that is really nice.here in europe it comes with the optima scope, which i found funny as the mounts are on the scope in the box, all i did was just put it together for a quick play at 15 20yrds its shooting short by 6 to 12 inches but aye out the box cannot be bad at all i just need time now to get used to it and sort properly, having never used the range finder type scope before. i was suprized that the gun arrived fully charged give or take 5bar.
Things I would have changed:dump the by-pod replace with a fourth mag. i would have liked a wood stock but as for most not really practical running round in the sticks better clips on the sling would be good, or as i am doing take them off and thread the webbing through the eyes and adjust it from there.
What others should know:pellets were/are a problem as i had domed headed type and you cannot push them home properly so a different type of mag is needed for the longer pellet i shall be working on that problem with a machining friend sooner than later as i would like to use the piledriver .22 pellet in this gun, at the moment i dont think they will work well in this multi shot version that i have. having only handled it three times i find the TH stock grip to be a little on the thin and sharp side but time will tell. also the action of the bolt is very rough maybe a drop of oil will help, also of course only 50shots so far, so it may improve with use. in the open air the noise should not be a problem but in a barn ratting it may have a problem so i have ordered a moderator for confined spaces. maybe i should have gone for the .25cal but we will see. happy days all

Things I liked:This mutha punches down range. Ain't no toy for the little ones. I love the lack of recoil . Peep sights take some gettin used to, but a scope works even better. On the heavy side and it's loud but it's a keeper.
Things I would have changed:Improve the safety / fire button by changing its location
What others should know:One gun worthy of owning.

Things I liked:I love how it looks, trigger is pretty darn nice & I've managed to adjust it to break crisply around 1.75 lbs pull weight. 2 extra magazines and ability to adjust it to one's liking is another big plus. My package was supplied with an optima 4-12x44 AO mil-dot scope (didn't buy from PA) and a flashlight which works so great out to 50 yards in the night. The scope is also decent but I changed it later to mount a BSA tactical mim-mil side-focus scope. The extra accessory rails is also a plus. It needed to be broken in and now shoots very accurately. Mine is .22 cal and it loves the JSB 18.1 grain pellets. 2nd best pellets are JSB 15.9 gr and H&N Barracuda Match. Awesome knockdown, very power airgun.
Things I would have changed:Weight & Loudness .. One needs to have a moderator to quiet it down, Hatsan needs to slash 1-2 lbs as it becomes tiresome to carry in the field when scope is mounted.
What others should know:I chronied and got some astonishing muzzle energy results. JSB 18 gr shot at an avg 45 fpe. Barracuda match shot at 47 fpe avg and JSB 25.4 gr pellets shot at an avg of 50 fpe at the muzzle. Sadly the 25.4 gr JSB weren't as accurate as JSB heavies or Barracuda match but at under 40 yards the JSB monsters will easily bring down crow/pigeon size target. For longer shots (up to 70-80 yards) I rely on JSB 18 gr pellets, they constantly produce 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards if I do my part. After over 2000 pellets, the JSB 18 gr still shoot at ~45 fpe. I cleaned the barrel using JB bore paste and it surely did improve results. I highly recommend this airgun given the sheer value for money.

Does the Hatsan BT65 have a threaded barrel??

yes ready to use any muzzle brake to reduce sound label

      • Doug from USA asked:

Can you tell me what the heaviest pellet that will fit and work with jamming is?

        • Tyler from USA:

The only thing that would cause a jam is the length of the pellet not the weight. Just make sure the pellet ends do not extend past either end of the magazine when seated properly.
