We at Pyramyd Air pride ourselves on our selection of unique and stunningly authentic John Wayne Peacemakers--they're a blast to shoot, look great, and handle like the real thing.

HOWEVER...

Due to unforeseeable events out of our control, some of our revolvers came in blue--VERY BLUE.

As a result, each of these revolvers is one of a kind, with minor imperfections that add a character as rugged as the Duke himself.  Is this a problem? It's for you to decide!  These handsome pellet revolvers have a deep, bluish hue that sunlight just dances off of.

To sweeten the deal, we're throwing in 12 CO2 cartridges AND 300 pellets!

***While the image above may not look exactly like the model you will receive, it does give a good approximation of what yours will look like.

The Colt Single Action Army (SAA) .45 revolver is a true American icon and has graced the collections of enthusiasts for 140 years. A favorite gun of the late John Wayne, the Peacemaker sat on his hip in over 100 of his Western films. An Oscar-winning Hollywood legend, John Wayne was also known as the "Duke."

To commemorate the legacy of the famous six-shooter and the man who made the gun a symbol of the American West, the replica Duke Colt Single Action CO2 Revolver was built. This replica revolver is a throwback to gunslingers of old and America's favorite cowboy actor, the Duke himself. It's a must-have for any collectors, a great plinker for endless fun, and an effective tool for training new shooters.

Featuring a full-metal frame, authentic action, and synthetic grips that have an inlay of John Wayne, this single shot pellet revolver is CO2 powered and includes a 6-round cylinder with a working ejector rod. The 6-shot comes in various finishes and reveals the John Wayne signature on the back strap.

The product packaging incorrectly states that it has a smooth bore barrel.  The Duke pellet revolver has a rifled barrel.

Things I liked:

Blue finish

Things I would have changed:

Not a fan of the medallion grips. Would prefer actual Colt style small medalliongrips as done on the actual wood grip Peacemakers, or plain poly ivory.

What others should know:

I switched to the plain poly Ivory grips. Overseas the blue finish is a regular option, should be offered in the US. If available will buy another one.

Things I liked:

The weight, the look, the feel...pretty much everything about the revolver. If you're familiar with the real deal Colt or Vaquero, you'll think you're holding the real thing. Very accurate at 20-25 feet...off hand I can put it in 9 or 10 on a six inch target (with a flyer here or there). I have a P1 which is dead accurate at that distance so it measures up very well. Very crisp trigger!

Things I would have changed:

The bluing on the gun is a little funny. It has a kind of purplish red hue to it. Additionally, and this maybe just the way it has to be manufactured, I wish the hammer would fully fall and stay on the face plate rather than bounce back and be set off from a full rest position. Front site is a little hard to see in low light so I put a little white paint on it.

What others should know:

I would say that the gun's clockwork is more akin to a black powder style revolver rather than a Colt or Vaquero. When indexing, it has three positions. The first cock allows the cylinder to rotate allowing for loading; the second, engages the cylinder latch and locks both the cylinder and hammer in position...making it safe I suppose; and the third cock, places the hammer in firing position. Make sure you index/cock the gun in a persuasive manner or it may kind of jam the cylinder (although that it easily corrected by pulling the trigger while holding the hammer for release).

  • Ricardo from Spain asked:

Does it use pellets or BBs?

  • Bear from USA asked:

What about one with out all the John Wane stuff

  • Jim from USA asked:

I like the look of this revolver but why always on "half cock", detracts from the authentic look IMO.

    • Bill from USA answered:

When the hammer drops, it opens the valve to release CO2. It's not on half cock, it is a rebounding hammer so the valve is in the closed position after if fires. It's really not that big of a deal, these are great pistols.
