Gun w/Scuba Refill Clamp Assembly, no sights In Stock
Power! Up to 1000 fps (in .177). Accuracy! 1" at 50 yards. NO recoil! Built in the USA, the Talon SS pre-charged pneumatic air rifle is for serious shooting. Field target, hunting, punching paper targets, shooting spinners and plinking are all perfect for the Talon SS...because it does everything so well! The easy-to-use power-adjust wheel takes your rifle from 400 fps to 1000 fps. You decide how much power you want and when you want it. If you're shooting field target...dial it down. Hunting...dial it up.
From its Lothar Walther barrel (1:16 twist) to its removable air tank, the Talon SS is the standard for state-of-the-art manufacturing of pre-charged pneumatics. Made of space-age polymers and aircraft-grade aluminum, the AirForce Talon SS is lightweight and equipped with a durable finish.
The removable 490cc air tank (DOT-certified) can be filled with a hand pump, scuba tank or electric compressor to 3000 psi (206 bar) for lots of shots without a refill. The tank does double-duty as the butt of the gun, contributing to its light weight and convenience. The tank has a pressure-release valve for additional safety.
Not sure which caliber to get? Get both! Extra barrels are available, and change-outs are quick and easy and don't require any special tools.
The Talon SS is the same basic rifle as the Talon, but an integral suppressor and a 12" barrel are standard. The shorter barrel makes it slightly lighter than the Talon, and the integral suppressor seriously reduces the report.
There are lots of ways to configure this gun, including rail-mounted accessories (coin-slot screws for each changeout). You can choose the scope, laser, flashlight, night vision equipment, extra tanks, quick-detach fiber-optic sights and attachments for the type of refilling unit you plan to use. If you replace the barrel with a longer one, the gun will not be silenced.
The Talon SS can use a very wide variety of pellets and round balls. Have a look at our suggestions in the AMMO link. Click the ACCESSORIES link to find scopes, targets, pumps and other nifty gear for your Talon SS.

Things I liked:power, versatility, price, quietness Things I would have changed:make the grips a little more comfortable, and make the safety lever a little easier to use, somehow make it a repeater What others should know:awesome gun for the money, especially in PCP guns, you can customize it in a variety of configurations

Most of the rifle shows quality, value and care in it's construction... all except for one item... It's outlined in "Things I'd change"... Things I would have changed:So, what would I change? The pistol grip! As well as the rest of the gun is made, the pistol grip positively screeches "Cheap"! When the grip on mine was made the mold didn't close properly. The center edge line was 1/16" or more out of line and some of the edges were VERY sharp. I could easily have been cut. The thing that bugs me about this is those grips had to have been installed by a human being. One who wasn't too concerned about what the buyer thought of his work. Perhaps mine is a fluke, I don't know. This is why I down rated the gun for "value". I paid well in excess of $500.00 for a rifle to deal with small urban pests, and to take a place in the gun safe beside my other "real" guns. My first thought seeing those grips was "toy". Fortunately my first impression was wrong and I took the time to file and sand off the "rough edges" to my satisfaction. In the end I like the gun and I'm glad I bought it. What others should know:I did not complain to Pyramyd Air regarding my gripe with my Talon. I was just impatient enough to air it up and check out how well it shot before deciding what to do with it. (I used a glove over the grip). It shot so well and with such power I decided to keep it and just fix the problem myself. So far my experience with Pyramyd's customer service has been quite satisfactory. One last thing, I'm a member of the American Gunsmith's Guild, so doing my own repair work was just another day at the shop. In other words, "don't try this at home". You'll void your warranty, like I probably did mine...

Things I liked:Power and accuracy are phenomenal. I wouldnt have bought my Mendoza RM600 .22 if I had known about this one. Bought this in .177 and am ordering the 24" .22 barrel later. No recoil, you can see the pellet fly through the hit zone in the scope - how cool is that! It's a one-hole puncher @ 10-15 yards, seriously accurate. Things

No recoil, you can see the pellet fly through the hit zone in the scope - how cool is that! It's a one-hole puncher @ 10-15 yards, seriously accurate. Things I would have changed:I really wish it had a pressure gauge built in so you could see what operating pressure you're at. Without a chrono you really have to guess, "if I blast through a steel can @ 15 yards, then it "should" kill that squirell, right?". Was a LOT more money than I thought I'd ever spend on an airgun, but I can shoot all day in my yard and not freak out neighbors. What others should know:I've blown through 1250 Crossman Premiers and it never gets dull. I do wish shouldering the rifle were easier - the round tank isn't exactly a face plate, but you get used to it and the pistol grip really aids in stabilizing for shots. You will love this gun, even after you've regretted paying for it, and the pump, and the scuba tank, and pellets, and targets, and.... :)
