Things I liked:

Great FFP scope for the money. Fits well on smaller airguns. Side focus is not stiff and smooth.

Things I would have changed:

The scope end caps that come with it suck. Not that the quality is bad I just cant understand why they included the stretched across end caps and flip open style. A side wheel would of been nice but not really a big deal because the side focus is so smooth and not near as tight at some other brands.

What others should know:

I got this to put on my edgun lelya 2.0 and was somewhat hesitant thinking it would be just a bit to big. It fits nicely mounted up. Honestly if it was any bigger then I would of needed to get something else. Right in that to small and to big range.

Things I liked:

One of the best ffp scopes at reasonable price! These are the brands of scopes that Ive' been using on my bsa scorpion 1200se .22cal. turret tracking is spot on on box tests!

Things I would have changed:

It should have a turret elevation stop, but its' okay

What others should know:

    Things I liked:

The scope has clearer glass at 14X than I expected. It’s my first front focal plane scope and I really appreciate that no adjustments are needed at any magnification once zeroed. I’ve only had it a month but so far it’s holding zero well.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

It has holdover subtensions that help on quickly changing shots at different ranges.

    Things I liked:

Glass is very clear. The added feature of FFP at this price is a great bonus. High quality scope, holds zero very well.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. This scope exceeded my expectations.

    What others should know:

If you have been on the fence about spending the little extra for a quality scope, this scope will not let you down.

    Things I liked:

The Althon Talos is a great value and it's clear and bright , I really like the reticle and the turrets which are professional grade . It takes the hammering of my hw80 and holds zero just fine .

    Things I would have changed:

I wouldn't change anything about this scope , it does all that I could ask for a quality scope to do .

    What others should know:

You get more than your money's worth with this tough scope .

    Things I liked:

Exactly what I wanted. Athlon scopes are showing up on several of my rifles. It was an easy install and I have shot with it multiple times. It has maintained zero with no issues. The eye relief is good for me.

    Things I would have changed:

I would probably leave off the illuminated reticle. I don't use that feature but IDK, some people may.

    What others should know:

It may be hard to get a good sight picture if it is mounted too high or the eye relief is incorrect. That isn't a fault of the scope. I have friends that have trouble seeing through my scope because their eye is too close. It works perfect for me.

    Things I liked:

Good glass. This is the third Athlon scope for me and they all perform well. I mounted this scolpe to a Texan LSS CF in .50 Cal.. It is a good fit and will make a nice deer rifle. I have only shot it about 25 times but a promising set up.

    Things I would have changed:

I would leace off the lit reticle and pass that savings on. I may be wrong but I don't think many shooters use that feature.

    Things I liked:

the reticle is the best i have used on an ffp scope. The athlon has a ton of spacing on its lines, which makes the reticle "fat" enough when zoomed out that its easy to see without being so fat its an accuracy issue, and yet when you zoom in the spacing opens up making a fine reticle zoomed in as well nice turrets with enough space for range markings. the click nicely although not crisp illuminations is nice and bright glass is on par for this pricerange, not great, not bad, it has a bit of yellowish tint to it reticle is in Streloc's, which is a huge plus for me as it allows me to easily print out reticles with distance markings or a dope table tailored to the specific scope

    Things I would have changed:

parallax could be smoother, 2 of three scopes is quite tight, my third one is better.....it does loosen up with use, i spent an evening just moving it while watching tv, and it helps greatly

    What others should know:

i own a vortex razor 4.5-27x56 a 2K$ scope and the reticle is so fine, that its almost impossible to see when zoomed out for hunting, add tree's and other vertical background (trees) and the reticle is super hard to see, the illumination of the reticle is weak so it doesnt help , the athlon doesnt suffer from this issue at all i have 3 of these now, they replaced a vortex diamondback 4-16 and my razor on my airguns, and the vortex moved back to their long range powderburners, which is sad but i dont have time to second guess the reticle.....this scope is in streloc too, so i put my rifles info in there, and print out a dope table and tape it to the tank of the rifles, no more second guessing turrets are nice, they are not as sharp or smooth as something like the Razor or diamond back, but athlon is a fifth of the price. i try to use the "dots" as much as possible, instead of clicking my way to a solution, it puts less wear on the scope. this is an awesome scope for the price

    Things I liked:

I have three FFP scopes: this Athlon, an Aztec Emerald and a Cabelas. The problem that I see with FFP is that you have many marks in reticle and the adjusting in the objective should be now precise, making it very difficult to get a fast glance and shot. This Athlon is the ONLY one thatnInwoukd buy it again. The reticle is the easiest one and keeps perfectly the zero.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

    Reliable.

    Things I liked:

I have used it once and and it was clear. 10 yds to infinity side focus parallax adjustment. The elevation and windage adjustment were precise.

    Things I would have changed:

I am not sure how much I like the retical as it is hard to stay on the correct mark as it has so many marks. I was not too successful at ranging with the parallax as it was hard to repeat the same reading.

    Things I liked:

Solid all-around excellent scope for the money. If you are looking for an scope you won't every have to upgrade (buy once, cry once), get this one. The construction is solid, the turrets are solid, the glass is clear. I compared this side-by-side with the Hawke 4-16x44 Airmax 30 SF Compact Riflescope and the Athlon is WITHOUT QUESTION a better scope, and it is actually a few dollars cheaper!

    Things I would have changed:

The only criticism is the illumination. At highest power, it is still not very bright, but it is more than adequate for dusk/low light shooting.

    What others should know:

Added bonus: there is no zero stop and the turrets are not capped, but plastic shim washers are included. Shoot, set zero, take off knob to reset turret, install appropriate shims, re-install turret.... now you have a zero stop!

Good quality for the money. Glass is good and first focal plane makes it an excellent hunting scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope should have stops on the elevation and windage turrets. Parallax distance markings are not accurate.

    What others should know:

Cannot use parallax markings to judge distance. Distance markings are not even close. Should have just left them off.
