Set of Ivory Plastic Grips Reviews

I ordered two sets of these grip covers. One for a nickel plated SAA Collt and one for the Duke SAA. Kinda hard as to which set I want in my two gun belt. Waiting for the Duke to come available again. April I guess is the date estimated. The Duke will more than likely win out. The other, nickel plate, will get a custom home built display box.

Would not change anything about these.

IF..you are collecting guns, these grips would be a great additon to your SAA Colt collection.

The fit was very good. Adequate hardware for installation.

The edges and corners are very sharp taking away from what is an excellent "feel" when the pistol is held. A simple swipe with fine emery along the edges "fixed" the matter.

Excellent grips, perfect fit.

Everything except the hammer

All of the Colt SAA army airguns seem to suffer from this hammer which is a quarter open even when in fully recessed and appearance thereby not as original. Also interferes with handling, spinning etc

came in a short time and was easy to change out the old ones they are great looking

These are the handles you need for a custom built Peacemaker SAA if you want the ones without the big medallions. IMO these look more authentic.

I ordered a custom nickel Colt SAA revolver in the pellet version with gold everything and a 7.5" barrel. The screw version of the grips was not offered as an option on the pellet pistol, so I ordered these grips separately and they are perfect. The gun is kind of reminiscent of the Tiffany Colts of a bygone era. The grips have a more mellow, aged ivory look than the pictures show and beautifully balance the overall look of the pistol.

I like the fact that these are easily interchangeable with the medallion-style grips. The right-side grip frame has 3 threaded holes, the one in the middle is used for these grips. The color of ivory/bone is pretty nice.

Maybe make an antique ivory version? Like the grips on John Wayne's pistols in The Shootist. And they are a bit pricey for plastic grips.

So it seems like all the grips for these pistols interchange. That makes for some variety!

Overall tone is actually a light tan, versus most digital pics. So much the better for realistic bone/ivory look! And, on the right-side of the grip frame, there are three screw holes. Medallion-style grips use 2 Philips screws on the inside. These non-medallion grips use a slightly larger, slotted screw in the middle, outside, with a corresponding threaded hole in the grip frame for the right side grip. Left side simply snaps on as usual. I also found a site to get all the stuff Clint Eastwood wore as Blondie, the man-with-no-name in the spaghetti westerns. So I also have the silver rattlesnakes for the grips that will fit as well.

It would be very meritorious if Umarex had these grips in an antique ivory like John Wayne's custom pistols he used in, " The Shootist". Absolutely beautiful. But, not to worry. These grips are going to get the antique ivory treatment one way or the other!

Only that they mount just like the grips these pistols come with, and look way better in person. They fit snugly and the screws are very good.

Great replacement grips to give your Colt a different look than the one's they sometimes comes with. I also added the gold hammer and cylinder to mine. It now looks fantastic and has turned it into a real show piece.

Offer the grips in a snow white color to allow for more options in the looks of the gun.
