Things I liked:

Everything! The stock is silkysmooth, not one blemish. All the screws were tight with blue loc-tite on them. Accuracy is fantastic! Even though I've only put about 50 shots through it, it's still dieseling. Yes, I did clean it before I shot it, the black goo that came out was unbelievable. But, it's doing 3 shots groups with in 1/2 inch @ 20 yards. Granted it's a close area, but it's my back yard. Neighbors came out to see just what that noise was, didn't sounds like a rifle of any kind. Not 1 complaint, nice!

Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Well, maybe an option of a mil dot scope vs the one that comes with it.

What others should know:

I did the scale weighing with the barrel breaking. It does a constant 32 pounds. Verses 27 pounds on my Benjamin NP 2 .177. Chronographed: Crosman Premier domed 14 gr. 851 fps @ 26lbe H&N Field Target 16.36gr. 778 fps @ 22 lbe Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr. 722 fps @ 21 lbe. Your results will vary. I'm just trying to give you an idea of what you can sort of expect. Very satisfied with this rifle!

Things I liked:

Gun is very sharp looking, also fits my body well. Im tall and broad. The stock and length really fit me well which is rare. Stock has a nice finish.

Things I would have changed:

Accuracy!!! I'm sending mine back currently. At 50 yards Its lucky if it will go in the general direction you point the barrel! I brought it down to 35 yards and was within 6 inches generally. Pyramyd Has been great to work with, said it must be a defect and will replace mine. Ill update when I get my new model.

What others should know:

Very good looking stock, smooth action, perhaps a pinch heavy, if the accuracy is fixed it would be a GREAT gun I would give is 4-5 stars.

It's very accurate when shot correctly

    Things I would have changed:

Longer barrel mite help with a little longer range accuracy

    What others should know:

If you want this gun to be accurate you have to be very consistent with the way that you shoot it, the right pellets help a bunch too

    Things I liked:

Crosman builds a pretty good Air Rifle, considering it is Chinese parts assembled in the US. Having said that, for the price, you can not beat it. I own several Crosman products, all with different power plants, and I do love 'em. This "Benjamin Trail", is my first experience with the "Nitro Piston2" Series and so far I am VERY PLEASED. I am writing this 'review' with less 50 pellets sent down range, and right now, I see little difference between the NP and NP2 (cocking effort, sound, recoil), with that said, I am completely satisfied with my NP's, and if the NP2 gets better with its break-in (as I would expect) that is just a bonus. Love the wood stock. Love the Full Shrouded Barrel. Love the "impact" with a .22 pellet I do like the "CenterPoint" scope and I have experienced no problems with my other 3-9x40AOE CP scopes.

    Things I would have changed:

On this Air Rifle- I don't know if I would change anything, as that would raise the price point. - - I might humbly suggest to "Crosman USA" - that their "Quality Control" could use some improvement. My last Crosman NP (SilverFox .177) showed up with a crushed 'Breech Seal'- a $3.00 part from Crosman w/ a $20.00 shipping charge. Needless to say I am looking for "breech seals" w/o the outrageous shipping costs.

    What others should know:

Purchase ALOT of pellets... as this .22 air rifle has a VERY HIGH 'Fun Factor'.

    Things I liked:

What is there not to love about this Rifle! Ive had it for little over a Year killed many squirrels and Raccoons anywhere from ranges of 20 to 35 yrds all Head shots! Found that the 14.3 grain shoots the best from Hollow point to destroyers and Doom! Grouping a dime size from 15 to 30 yrds! Ive added water line Foam to the Grip to give a Bigger grip due to me having big Hands it has able me to use less Pull on the trigger which gives a Smoother And steady hand! Love this Rifle and Buying another before winter! I have the .22 cal! My better half hasn't shot anything in 10 years and she is grouping a quarter Group! So time for me to pass mine down and get the new SBD for more Meat on the Table!

    Things I would have changed:

Like to see A lighter trigger spring and polished trigger for smoother trigger!

    What others should know:

    Aim small Miss Small!

    Things I liked:

Easy to cock, very quiet to shoot, powerful, accurate, minimal recoil, very well balanced, and picatinny optics rail. I normally buy synthetic stocks but this was less money and it's a very nice looking and comfortable to hold stock. I live in Indiana and this qualified for free shipping and since I ordered it in the morning it shipped the same day and was here the next day which was a very pleasant surprise. Before I bought this I tried a Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 .22 and it was quite loud, had a lot of recoil, and mounting a scope was a pain because it wouldn't stay put. I also tried an Umarex Octane .22 which turned out to be a lemon but that was a blessing because it was a beast to cock and it was so long my wife had to hold it like it was a rocket launcher to be able to shoot it.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm nervous about the silencer being plastic but that's honestly reaching for something to pick at.

    What others should know:

The scope is much better than one would expect for a free one. I upgraded to one with higher magnification and Mil-Dots so I can be sure I am hitting critters which can be anywhere from 10-50 yards out. Stock length is great for both me and my wife so we can have fun plinking. I'm still breaking it in and have only put about 200 shots through it but already seeing excellent grouping at 25 and 50 yards with Air Arms Diablo Field (16 and 18 grains) and JSB Diabolo (14.3,15.89, and 18.13 grains). This is my first airgun since the pumpmaster I ran around in the woods with as a youth and wow they have come a long ways. Order your pellets from Pyramid Air. I ordered some from Amazon and they were just thrown in a box and shipped and all of the tins were severely damaged. Pyramid Air packs the pellet tins in foam squares with cutouts for the tins and they arrive in perfect condition and if they do get damaged give them a call and they will ship you out a replacement.

    Things I liked:

POWERFUL! Hits with authority. Solid build. Easy to shoot. Well balanced. Scope is well paired for this rifle. The 40mm objective lets plenty of light in.

    Things I would have changed:

It's a bit on the heavy side, but that also helps with it's accuracy.

    What others should know:

I purchased 14 different pellets to find the most accurate. When I first did this, I found the H&N Field trophy 5.52 to give the tightest groups. After 700 rounds, I decided to clean the barrel and to my surprise now the Crosman Piranhas give the best groups. Which is OK with me as they cost 1/4 of the price of the H&Ns. It's is heavy, but after carrying it 6 1/2 hours through the woods, it wasn't too bad. I had 2 friends over for a shooting competition. The NP2 out shot their 2 Gamos hands down. Although the Gamo Bone Collector was incredibly quiet.

Nice ergonomic wooden thumb hole stock with raised comb that positions my eye well for the scope. Sling and mounts included. Quiet and easy to cock.

    Things I would have changed:

Lots of take up on trigger, a bit of creep. Would be nice to have open sights. Not crazy about the scope, hard to get full field of view.

    What others should know:

Still working on break in but accuracy so far is encouraging. Getting 2.5" groups at 30 YDS. Accuracy is improving.

    Things I liked:

Very nice package for the money! Make sure when you mount the scope to use loc-tite and fasten securely. My buddy and I both had ours come loose. Follow manufacturer instructions and purchase the synthetic oil to lube the piston. I would also recommend purchasing a cleaning kit as when I used a different pellet, my accuracy suffered. Cleaned the barrel and went back to the Crossman 14.3 domes, it was good to go! Quarter sized groups at 50'.

    Things I would have changed:

    For the price, nothing.

The gun is a very good value for the money. The scope that came with it is much better than I expected, It takes a strong scope to stand up to these magnum air guns.

    Things I would have changed:

The gun has a very poor trigger. I think you could support the gun by the trigger and it wouldn't fire!!

    What others should know:

In my opinion a good value

    Things I liked:

I really like the smooth wood stock which is more comfortable than the synthetic stock on the first NP1 Trail I bought (and subsequently sold) You can tell this is an US made product by the overall fit, finish and operation of the moving parts (my first NB 1 made in China had potatoes ((grease & crud)) growing in the barrel). The trigger is a VAST improvement as I had to add a Charlie DeTuna trigger to my first NP 1 it was so bad but I have adjusted this trigger and think I will keep it as is. After about 100 JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.1 grain pellets down range I'm getting clover leafs on 1" stick on targets at 20 yds so it "shot in" very quickly. Also fairly quiet and neighborhood compliant as all I get is a mild "thunk"

    Things I would have changed:

Make the sling swivel detachable as it gets in the way. Other than that nothing. This is the rifle that Benjamin should have made in the first place in it's NP line of Trail models. Also make it available without the Centerpoint 3-9X 40 which is a good scope but I put a UTG 4-16X50 on for more magnification at longer ranges

    What others should know:

I did the pre shipment 10 shots offered by Pyramyd which I'm glad I did which showed 860-865 fps with 14 grainers which is not the advertised fps so we need a little truth in advertising here. I also found it to be harder to cock then my prior NP 1 which goes against advertising of "easy to cock" but I'm a large adult male and can handle it. Overall a very good, accurate, well priced (I'll pay more for US made) air rifle that I would recommend

    Things I liked:

Well let me start ive been shooting Firearms since I was 10 and im 43 Now!! Let me tell you I had my NP2 tested with the 10 for 10 and they crony tested it and was shooting 855 fps with a 11.9 gr RWS I shoot Crosman Premier 14.3 Dome id say it is shooting 800 or more fps.. In total ive shot 28 thru it and Mounted the scope and run 80 so more thru it and im Holding a Quarter size group at 15 yrds Dead Zero im putting it in ever other hole if it was a squirrel id have it for Supper!!! If ur looking for a Hard shooting Pellet Rifle Look NO Further with the CBT trigger you can adjust it to a Hair trigger.. Great Job Benjamin!!

    Things I would have changed:

    Don't change anything!!!

    What others should know:

Before you get it if you order from Pyramyd air pay the extra and have them Test ur Rifle before you get it!! It will payoff and you will know what it is shooting and if anything is wrong with it they will fix it!! This Air Rifle you can hold like a Firearm just remember to follow thru with each shot!! With Siting first shoot 3 shots to see where the scope is shooting then adjust and in between the adjustment take ur cap and tap the scope it will bring ur crosshairs to the position and shot 3 more shots to make sure its there and so on!! and make sure the screws on the DOP is tight before Sitting mine wasn't tight..

Very accurate gun and plenty powerful for small game hunting! Probably broke in with only about 150 pellets and it's getting great groups from ~30 yards out. First time took it hunting I took out a quail from ~40 yards away free hand, hit it directly in the head and blew it off, no suffering.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing besides the front sling swivel. Would have been nice if you could remove it since it can get annoying at times.

    What others should know:

Some others are having problems with it but they completely contradict what I have experienced. May be quality control problem but the one I received is perfect!

    Things I would have changed:

I would change the advertising on a 26ft/pound gun I only got mine to shoot 19-20ft/# after a break in of 500 pellet. 14.3grain Crossman.

    What others should know:

The gun for me has a heavy trigger that is slightly better than the previous model and I couldn't get a group even at 25yrd benched.
