Things I liked:

This rifle (mine is a .25 cal) has it all, gorgeous wood, dark rich finish on the metal, quiet, balance, and power! Accuracy is very good, and that is with the open sights that I can't quite get focused perfectly due to older eyes. Have only fired a 100 or so shots, and am currently mounting a scope on it, so I expect this gun to only get better! Beeman Kodiak and crow magnum pellets seem to do best in this gun, although I have tried JSB, Benjamin,Crosman and they do quite well also. weight is light enough to be comfortable carrying out all day in the woods.

Things I would have changed:

This gun would be perfect with some sling swivel mounting points. Most break barrels have this issue, so maybe someone can figure this out.

What others should know:

The gun is a bit more firm in the cocking effort than other break barrels I have, one being a Benjamin NPS (The LE one). Only younger shooters would have any issues with it, or someone who has had some shoulder weakness. Give the barrel a good cleaning before shooting, as mine had a lot of oil in the barrel. Probably for shipping purposes. Nothing detracting though. For the money, I think this rifle in .25 is tops! This gun is quieter than my Marauder in .25 cal, so having this for larger pests within 50 yards is the ticket!

Things I liked:

Very good looking gun.

Things I would have changed:

It is horribly inaccurate. At the same distance, I can get great groupings with my Beeman RS-2 .22. This gun is all over the place. High to the left, high to the left, to the left, high to the right, in the eventual "group" near center, repeat. Harder to cock than the RS-2, and harder to close when done. Where with the RS-2 I can bring the barrel up and then gently close it with one hand, this one requires near-slamming to close. The barrel could eventually develop a bend due to the force required to close it.

What others should know:

I have the .25 and use open sights. Like I said, it is a great-looking ammo-waster that will probably gather a lot of dust. I wish I had saved my $$$ and bought an equivalent Crossman or Benjamen product.

    Things I liked:

Everything!! This Rifle is Beautiful. I bought 2 in 22 Cal. Accuracy is Top Notch. I've heard people talk about the Trigger, but the Trigger is not bad at all. If you know how to shoot Breakbarrels than you will have no problem with Trigg. I'm definitely a HATSAN Fan for sure now. Rifle is Very Solid, well built. Highly Recommended.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope is the only bad. I put a BSA Sweet 17 on it and it does Great.

    What others should know:

Shoots all pellets Great, but prefers the Beeman FTS Match 14.66 grain. I can put Pellets in same hole at 20yrds with those Pellets. I bought THE Stoger ATAC 22 cal,and this Hatsan 22 Cal both Gas Rams. Love Both Rifles ATAC has more comfortable Stock, but Hatsan is a little more Powerful. ATAC is way more picky with Pellets by far!! Really can't say enough about this Hatsan they did excellent job! Highly Recommend this Hatsan Vortex 22 cal.

Everything except Scope. Scope says Made in China on the side. So far it's Accurate,Hits Hard, and Nice looking can't go wrong with this Air Rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

    Scope.

    What others should know:

I really like this Hatsan 22 Vortex.Everything is Very nice looking. Very solid, well built Rifle. I actually feel like getting another. This Rifle is 44 1/4 inches exactly. Not to long, not too short. I shoot back yard 99% of the time and it's still backyard friendly as far as sound is concerned. Crosman Premier Pointed are Excellent, and FTS Field Target 14.66 are Excellent also.Put Loctite on all screws.

    Things I liked:

Wood Stock is Sharp,Nice looking. Accuracy out of the box is really good. Hits Hard, gos thru 1/4 plyboard every time. The Trigger is Nice, im just going to leave it alone, but a Brass or Gold Trigger would look awesome on this Rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope says made in China on the side. So im getting another.

    What others should know:

Really impressed,I wish I would have bought 2, like it alot!! 22 Cal I think is the only way to go with this Rifle.I received this Rifle 12/30/2015. With new Air Rifles I always put 3 Drops of RWS Chamber oil in the Transfer Port, cause I know from the Manufacturer there's alot of Residue inside Piston Chamber. In my oppinion doing this helps clean up the inside and helps Piston Seal Seat better which in total helps with Compression. Put Loctite on all Screws as always. Rifle is Shorter than what I expected which is just fine, its perfect fit! Groupings were really good no complaints. Everything looks well made on this Rifle, very nice!I Highly recommend this Rifle.

Light weight, handsome wood stock, great accuracy, decent power (750fps in .22 with Crosman Premier 14.3gr domed pellets). This is a lot of air rifle for the money!

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is pretty bad..long and heavy and just pretty bad.

    What others should know:

I'll be getting a Welsh Willy aftermarket trigger to replace the stock trigger. Ive heard the WW trigger makes a great difference - hope so!

    Things I liked:

After a long absence I decided to purchase a pellet rifle and started w/ looking in big box stores for a rifle. I was not impressed w/ the products or the knowledge of the employees. I wanted a quality product but didn't want to spend a fortune.I also wanted a rifle that was relatively short and light for casual backyard plinking and target practice. In my research I ran across a YouTube video review of the Hatsan 95.I had not heard of this company but the young man in the video did an excellent job of describing the article's strengths and weakness. I was interested in the 95 but looking for something more carbine-like.I then found the Striker and decided to purchase. I really like the workmanship and quality of this rifle.Great value for the money.Quarter sized groups offhand at 10 yards w/ open sights out of box! I like this so much I going to get the new 95 Quiet Energy in.177 when available. Hatsan thank you.

    Things I would have changed:

Like many others I don't like the included scope and offering an upgrade at additional cost would be nice.I would also like a more detailed manual w a schematic drawing and parts list. The rifle would benefit from a better trigger such as the one on the 95.

    What others should know:

I just started to explore th accuracy of this rifle with a good scope and a variety of pellets and so far my impression is that this rifle is capable of much greater accuracy than I can produce w/ my shooting skills.I am very satisfied w/ Pyramyd Air for the service, selection and the wealth of information available. The will be my go to guys for airgunning needs

Wood stock. Accuracy and a decent stock.

    Things I would have changed:

A slightly less bulky feeling stock.

    What others should know:

I sighted this rifle at 25 yards and once I got the scope zeroed, I shot several ten shot groups. After the first group, I thought, "this has to be a fluke", but after shooting five more ten shot groups and tearing the bullseye out of the 10 yard airgun targets,(still at 25 yards), I could not have been happier with my purchase. I would highly recommend this airgun to my friends and family. My rifle is in .22 as it was the only caliber I did not own. All my other airguns are pcp's and I wanted to try a gas piston rifle. I beleive I have a great rifle at a very affordable price.

    Things I liked:

The power is impressive!! Beautiful rifle, the hard wood stock is a pleasure to hold and the steel is strong and well machined. I live in the country and I love to plink, but this beauty is going to become the farm manager taking care of any pesky rabbits who might want to raid my garden. Very accurate out to 40 yds so far but am having trouble dialing in tighter groups at 50 & 60 yds, but to be fair this is my first scope ever but at 61 yrs of age my eyes are not what they used to be. The box had a rip in it when it arrived and there was no bi pod in the box, but I normally shoot from a table so I am not concerned about it.

    Things I would have changed:

To be able to mount the scope back a little farther. I had to flip the scope mount to get better eye relief. A sling mount would be nice, I am a little bit crippled and it would be a great help in carrying but I am not sure about adding sling mounts. If anyone has done so please let me know how they worked out for you. I would like it if it were a little lighter, but not at the cost of power as I have seen this baby hit out at 85 yds with authority. After finding out just what a A.O. Scope is and what it does I would say this rifle diffidently merits one.

    What others should know:

This rifle is no toy! A little heavy (for me anyway) this gun has a recoil and can be a little loud depending on ammo used. The scope tends to shake loose so I'll be using lock tite. At 40 yds I can chew up the bulls eye. I think the trigger pull is a little heavy but I have not tried to adjust it yet as I am still getting to know this rifle. I think the Hatsan 1000X 22 cal was a fine investment for me that I can pass down to my Grandson when my time is done. Pyramydair was "Fast!" got my order the next day! I look forward to doing business with them for all of my air gun needs. I only gave 4 stars for accuracy as I am still trying different ammo to get a feel for what this rifle likes.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I like the weight. Considering its power level and light weight this Striker Vortex has no equal. Using Crosman Premier Hollow Points, 14.3 grains in 22 cal, this airgun is achieving velocities of 920 fps. It seems to be getting faster the more I shoot it. Seating the pellet to a perfect "sweet spot" can boost the pellet speed as much as 100 fps. The trigger is much better than other reviews are saying. The adjustment screw needs to be about 1/8 inch longer and the 2nd stage becomes infinitely adjustable. It is a 3mm screw.

    Things I would have changed:

When I bought this gun it was listed as a "Turkish Walnut" stock. NOT TRUE! It says "Hardwood" on the box. PA made it right with me though. The stock is still nice and has a walnut stain on it. I would like to see less curve on the trigger blade itself. This gun needs a permanently mounted scope base fixed to the receiver.

    What others should know:

If you have never used the "Vortex Gas Piston" you will be shocked. This is like shooting a super tuned springer on steroids! Cocks SUPER smooth and with more poundage than my Hatsan 95. Fires very smoothly and with so much "SNAP" it eats the scopes and mounts. I have been shooting magnum springers for 25 years and never have seen anything like this. I almost sent the gun back but I cannot put the thing down long enough to get it back in the box. I settled for a Beeman Sport Aperture Sight. Kept it light and this thing is a blast to shoot. Use degreaser and gun tight on all the screws. I gave this a 3 star rating because of inability to use a scope on it. It needs a base built on the gun when manufactured. Then the toughest scope made.

    Things I liked:

I am 61 years old, I have hunted small game & shot pistols & rifles all my life. I reload for over 50 calibers.I spent a lot of time on the site comparing different rifles. I wanted a no frills, powerful & open sight rifle for about 200.00, plastic stock (for light weight), 22 or 25 cal., NP preferred (I've never had one), sights (preferably hi-vis), Weaver rail (welded or soldered) & a silencer. I wanted the most quiet rifle I could get. I finally decided on this one. 1. Great sights 2. Decent trigger (haven't adjusted it yet) 3. Good power 4. good caliber 5. Comfortable to shoot

    Things I would have changed:

    1. Offer plastic stock for lighter weight. 2. Offer without scope (I haven't tried mine) 3. Reduce DB output: It is VERY loud. I knew going in that it would be loud. I read and agonized over the sound level. My next will be a 2 rating not 3.

    What others should know:

    1. It is loud. I had a Dianna 34 (my 1st powerful springer. 2. It is picky about pellets (I bought 12..yes 12 different pellets to try only had to pay for 9 tins (thanks Pyramid). 3. Appears to be a great deal for the price. 4. Cocking is not too bad. 5. Accuracy is good with open sights. I haven't tested all 12 pellet types, broken the rifle in or mounted the scope. I gave it a 4 star accuracy on what I've seen so far. I will update or re-post later as I break it in and sight it in. 6. For a 1st 25 cal. you can't go wrong and a great price.

    Things I liked:

really nice stock, came with a bipod but bipod is not the best, its cheap, extremely accurate, good recoil pad, silencer, no reciol at all, and the true glo with globe is nice and acurate plus the safety is designed well.

    Things I would have changed:

put the nicer trigger hatsan makes on it,take off the scope it just costs more and as expected like all scopes that come with a gun its not powerful enough, surprisingly the scope clear and accurate just does not go far enough.

    What others should know:

this is the best gun for price and is very powerful remember fps is not power i recomend it to hunters, target shooters, and just people wanting to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

    the trigger is horrible.

    What others should know:

I bought this gun with high hopes. After about 500 pellets I finally got it on a chrony and it was only shooting about 450 fps with 14.5 grain pellets. Definitely a problem. I returned it right away and am awaiting a replacement. My guess is it's just a lemon. Hatsans as a general rule get good ratings and reviews.

    Things I would have changed:

Put a better scope with it, this gun is worthy of it... Also, better rail for scope.

    What others should know:

This gun takes some time to break in, be patient with it though... You will be glad you did!

    Things I liked:

Loved the looks, the nice "real wood" non-laminate finish and checkering was great, a real treat for such a low price. The open sites were easy to adjust and dead on out of the box with only 3 minor adjustments, grouping 10 shots at 60 ft in 1.5" circle. Hard shooting, will dispatch small game easy.

    Things I would have changed:

The Scope, doesn't seem to be consitent. If you flip the scope stop around, and slide the scope back in the mounting brackets you can get a comfortable reach to the eye cup. Not a show stopper for the gun.

The fit and finish is very good, and the stock is very sleek and slim as compared to a lot of wood stocks. Checkering is very clean. Shooting cycle is smooth and quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer it a lower cost without the scope and the bipod. To be accurate you really need an AO scope unless you will be always shooting at 50 to 100 yds.

    What others should know:

This is definately not a youth gun. It takes a strong arm to cock it but for your effort you will get about 24 pounds of energy with .25 Polymags.

    Things I would have changed:

the scope stop, the tru-glow sights(although better than most air rifles).

    What others should know:

I got the .22. my first one made a crack when i cocked it, it was defective, got a new one, shot about 75 pellets through it with the iron sights got about 1.5 in groups from 30 ft. i will be returning it because the scope stop is way to forward on the rifle and i cannot look through the scope without stretching my neck to an uncomfortable length. the scope was also defective i think. its shot 6in down and to the left and was not able to be changed to be anywhere near accurate. i really wanted to like this gun but the scope stop is what really killed it for me. maybe i just got some bad ones. but the gun definitely hit with some power for sure. when through 1/2 in ply wood. overall if you are comfortable with a scope being forward i think you will enjoy this gun.
