Things I liked:

Just shot my new Hatsan Torpedo 100x vortex. It was a bit heavy, which I liked. It was extremely windy on the range, since a storm system passed through previously. Wind was between 15-25 mph. I did not attempt to zero my scope but the rifle appeared to have fired great, with a lot of power. At peak winds I had less than one mil holdover at 50 yards. At that distance the pellet punched a devastating hole through a 1x2 target stand. I was able to hit a bowling pin at 100 meters in the wind, first shot. For that shot a had 2 mil holdover and 3 mil high.

Things I would have changed:

I believe the power is great but the cocking effort is exhausting. After 20 rounds I was defeated. I should note that I'm in ok physical shape and I am an ex infantry man.

What others should know:

It seems like a good buy so far. Accuracy is on point at the moment. First impression I'd great. Let's see what happens.

Things I liked:

I like the wood stock and the weight of the rifle. The automatic safety is located in a rather clever spot.

Things I would have changed:

I do not think that the loading mechanism is going to consistantly return the barrel to the same spot over time.

What others should know:

It's got some power but the lack of accuracy makes it unfun. I could not get any consistant shots with my rifle.

    Things I liked:

    Very nice wood stock.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger, cheap plastic components such as the safety and the trigger guard. Loctite on sight screws and the retainer for the cocking lever would have been nice.

    What others should know:

The trigger is horrible. It had so much side to side slop I thought something was wrong with the gun. Accuracy from the one I purchased is horrible. I have tried numerous brands of pellets and shot off sand bags and a lead sled to experiment with improving accuracy. Nothing has helped. I installed a Leapers 4-16x50 on this gun which was pointless the open sights are sufficient for the accuracy. Assuming you loctite the rear sight screw as it and the retainer for the cocking where loose and fell out. The metal edges are sharp and the bluing near the bolt handle on the barrel is starting to rub off. Pyramid Air was excellent to deal with, the rifle arrived a day earlier than I expected. I would definitely not recommend this rifle though. It does seem powerful, shooting through pine boards that I mount targets on. It arrived very oily from the factory which took some time to clean. It is also pretty loud, much too loud for backyard shooting or indoor shooting without bothering others.

    Things I liked:

I have had my HatsanTorpedo 100-x under-lever 22 cal. for tow weeks.Very impressed.I am a fan of vintage military bolt action rifles and the Hatsan 100-x under-lever has the look and feel of many in my collecton.Iike the bolt action loading port. Very nice walnut stock, good finish, very nice blueing. This is a very well made gun. This is my first air rifle. It is very powerfull and highly accurate. It has very good sights.I would highly recommend this rifle if your looking for a under-lever.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing!

    What others should know:

Hatsan torpedo 100-x likes 14 to 18 gr. lead pellets.

    Things I liked:

Very well built and powerful, nice finish and checkering.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock is not as well finished as the German guns, one side of the stock surface has an undulating wave and not flat.

    What others should know:

Half the price of the Diana Mauser K98 (which has slightly higher muzzle velocity rating - 850 vs 800 for .22 caliber), but has more power and penetration.

    Things I liked:

    Hard hitting,quality construction,good tru-glo sights,nicely balanced, lanyard swivels,brass operating buttons,nice stock,accurate ,nice trigger and not too loud

    Things I would have changed:

Safety switch is plastic and is the only part of the gun that feels cheap. Supplied bi-pod works but is basically trash.

    What others should know:

Stiff to cock but not unreasonable,.This rifle takes 7 steps to make ready for fire....a break barrel only takes 3 steps. Don't forget to return cocking arm after cocking and ensure cocking arm is securely latched at muzzle end

The underlever, the weight of the rifle, barrel/bolt loading system. shoot great.

    Things I would have changed:

The front sight should be removable with the laver lock in place. The trigger has a lot of side to side slop, but it still works good.

    What others should know:

Front sight may be seen in your scope!

It's heavy and the wood and metal are done well it broke in smoothly and i have had tons of fun with it

    Things I would have changed:

Get rid of automatic safety make front sight removable

    What others should know:

It's heavy. Takes a bit too cock so not for small shooters mine prefers heavy or really tight fitting lighter pellets lock tight all screws especially the small screw that releases the under lever. Mine prefers to be held a bit tighter than most other airguns I own. But i really enjoy it and would recommend

    Things I liked:

I have the .22cal version and it seems well built, except for a couple of minor issues. Mine is actually fairly easy to cock, definitely easier than any spring gun or even a Hatsan Model 87 that I have. I find I can operate the gun easiest by holding the rifle with my right hand and loading/cocking with my left. It's a big gun, almost as long as a Mosin Nagant, definitely not a child's toy. Accuracy seems to be pretty good with the right pellets, but so far I've only shot it at 7 yds indoors.

    Things I would have changed:

The finish on the wood is more of a brown paint than shellac or polyfinish, and it scratches very easily. If you have a crowded safe like I do, it's going to get marked up. Also, the cocking lever holding pin needs some Loctite on the end cap. Mine flew off after about 20 shots and it took me awhile to find it. After putting some blue loctite on it, it's stayed put.

    What others should know:

My gun fell out of the safe as I was opening the door, and the stock broke. After gluing it together, the stock rolled off my bench while trying to fit it up and broke into another three pieces. This has got to be the most brittle stock wood I've ever seen. If I had known the stock would be this fragile, I would have bought the synthetic stocked version (Torpedo 105x).

    Things I liked:

I particularly enjoy the weight and the accuracy. The stock open sights are an exceptionally high quality, something that I was not expecting given my previous experiences with spring air rifles from other manufacturers. They were exceptionally accurate straight-away, and only needed a few minor tweaks to get me shooting to the best of my abilities. The gun is very stable, very solid, and the trigger is absolutely wonderful to shoot straight from the box. The walnut stock is also beautiful, and the steel is gorgeously blued.

    Things I would have changed:

The rail mounting system, while clever and convenient, does not work well in concert with the rear open sight. Due to the rear sight sitting on the rail physically, this makes it impossible to use low height scope mounts. I currently use a Centerpoint Adventure air-gun rated 4-16x40mm AO/IR scope with a 1" tube, and have to rely on 1.5" high dovetail mounts. This makes the sight-alignment very difficult to generate naturally, meaning that I will have to purchase an aftermarket cheek rest and potentially build up my stock to utilize this rifle to the best of its, and my, potential.

    What others should know:

Do not take what other reviewers have said for granted. This. Gun. Is. HEAVY. At 9.6 pounds naked, the gun is already a hefter, but my choice of scope brings the total weight up to a whopping 13 pounds! My gun is not overly hold-sensitive, but learning to hold this rifle the exact same way every single time is CRUCIAL to accuracy, and the high quality of the rifle means it will punish small inconsistencies with zeal. The power of this rifle is also something to be taken into account: it rattled my teeth the first few times I shot it, and I am having a minor problem with my Centerpoint slipping backward in the rings and needing to be re-adjusted. Also not too bad an idea to put some thread lock on the stock screw behind the trigger, as it comes loose after a few dozen shots and can really impair your accuracy, and potentially damage the stock.

    Things I liked:

Weight. Bought this for off-hand practice in the basement over the winter and wanted as close to 12#2oz as I could get. Once I added the Leapers 4x scope it tops 10# and well balanced. Also has a decent trigger at about 1.5# right out of the box. I might have gone for a bit less power than the 800fps, but it is easier to cock after the first 50, or so, shots.

    Things I would have changed:

There is not much light gathering by the front optic without a bright light overhead. Not sure what could be done to fix this, but I find it difficult to see when shooting the open sights.

    What others should know:

Not for the weak. Takes some effort to cock.

    Things I liked:

I got the 25 caliber version, have had it for a month, and like it pretty well. This is my first gas piston gun, having used springers before. I know gas piston is the current rage, but I'm not finding much difference from spring guns. Both work. I'm thinking not such a big deal. I am always happy to find an underlever gun as I like a fixed barrel, and I shoot left-handed.

    Things I would have changed:

The breech face is covered with deep machine marks and the chamber has a minimal chamfer. This makes getting a pellet started into the chamber a little difficult since the roughness seems to catch and hold the pellet and the chamber is tight. A little finish clean up and maybe polish might make this a lot easier. The cocking force is significant, although it seems to be getting easier with use. Better leverage would be nice. It's long and heavy. I've got high-power hunting rifles that are shorter, lighter and easier to carry in the field all day.

    What others should know:

Would I buy it again? Yes, and if money is available I'll be getting the 22 cal. as well.
