Things I liked:

I have the .22 version, and it is really accurate! Getting 1/2" groups at 30 yards; with 30 yard zero, using 14.3 grain C.hollow points, rounds drop only 2.1" at 60 yards, and have a spread of 1.75"! Great penetration at long range. Rifle is pretty quiet. Glad it "likes" the inexpensive pellets. Scoped with a BSA 3x12x44 AO; seems perfect for this rifle; fit and finish are top notch. You will not be disappointed with this one.

Things I would have changed:

Have a scope combo for this price

What others should know:

Only problem that i have encountered is that it does not want to cock on the first time; sometime i have had to recock it in order for it to lock up; My question to all you airgunners: Could this be caused by over lubing at the factory? It is so accurate that I can live with the several cocking attempts; does anyone have a remedy for this without it having to be sent back? Any info would be appreciated

Things I liked:

The power, stock and sights*. The stock is good, solid, and nicely checkered. I have an asterisk on the sights because, while they are pretty good, the rear sight is a bit cheaply made. It is adjustable for elevation and windage, but part of it is just a bit loose, although it is loose in a way that does not affect its usage. On another part of it, I had to use locktite liberally on the mounting screw and sight-to-barrel contact surfaces initially, to ensure it stayed where I wanted it when first sighting it in.

Things I would have changed:

The scope stop, the trigger, and part of the sights. The gun has some things to note: first off, the scope mount stop is laughable. The receiver is dovetail grooved, but there is no stop hole drilled into it. The stop clamps to the dovetail just like the mount itself would! The stop also has a screw that goes straight down through the middle that apparently is to be driven into the top of the receiver, but with no hole for it to go into, what's the point? However, my other air rifles are all scoped, and since I only intend to use open sights on this gun, it is not an issue for me. The trigger could use some help. It isn't bad, but it isn't great either - the safety is not as positive as I'd like, and there is a little side play in the trigger. But, what do you want for $260? And, as I mentioned above, I'd improve the quality of the rear sight. The design seems fine, it just needs to be better executed in actual production.

What others should know:

Let me start by saying that I knew I was taking a chance on this rifle because it is made in China. (Nitro-pistion upgrade is Crosman, of course.) I had a few basic requirements for this gun. It's primary purpose is for dispatching rabbits who invade my wife's vegetable garden. Secondarily I use it for backyard plinking fun. So, I wanted a .22 cal, nitro-piston, wood stock gun with ample power and open sights that wouldn't cost too much. This was one of the few rifles available that fit the bill. I learned after ordering it that the nitro-piston upgrade for this gun was brand new, and the folks at Pyramid Air wanted to be sure it was right before shipping. For that reason, the expected arrival date came and went with no gun, but when I called to inquire about it, they explained they were making sure it was right before sending it. Once they got it right, they sent it overnight air at no additional cost to me, so I give them kudos for that. I'd rather have it right and late than on time but not working well, and they did get it right - it has functioned well and I've probably got 300 or so rounds through it now. Power and accuracy are fine. I adjusted the sights for the JSB Exact Jumbo Monster pellets I am using. The gun pushes them easily and they hit hard. I should be taking my first rabbit with it very soon. Overall I'm satisfied with it for the price.
