Things I liked:

This is a beautiful rifle..not quite as finished as the higher end brands, but very pretty nonetheless. It is a heavy gun, but I liked the weight because it feels more solid to hold and it actually makes keeping a steady aim much easier.

Things I would have changed:

Quality control! Please read below.

What others should know:

I bought the gun knowing I would have it tuned, but I simply can't believe the rifles they let off the line. The first gun I received had such a tight breech that I couldn't even fit pellets into it without completely deforming them. The second one at least allowed me to shoot, but I knew immediately that something was terribly wrong. I sent it off to Charlie Da Tuna, where he found that it had a damaged/scored piston, collapsed main spring, and damaged breech seal..this was a BRAND NEW RIFLE! Here are the before and after specs: Pre-Tune: Average velocity - 683 fps Average deviation - 18 fps Extreme deviation - 43 fps! Average trigger pull - 8 lb 4 oz!!! Post Tune: Average velocity - 982 fps Average deviation - 3.3 fps Extreme deviation - 12 fps Average trigger pull - 2 lb 4 oz I simply cannot recommend this rifle unless you plan on rebuilding it. However, if that's your goal anyway..get it over to Bob at www.charliedatuna.com

    Things I liked:

To start with, the rating was way off on mine. 936fps with PBA and 851FPS with Crossman RN HP hunting pellets. The weight it fully acceptable, but I'll mention some good feedback below. The gun is very accurate, ONCE THE TRIGGER IS FIXED. Very Consistent velocities over my chrono took less than 20 shots for things to settle down i LIKE the weight. I wanted a rifle I could practice as if it was one of my large bore (.416, .458 or larger) in terms of weight and hold. It works out that way This is a 13MM scope rail

    Things I would have changed:

the trigger is HORRIBLE The wood was only "so-so" the middle screw, or the larger screw in the trigger is a 6mmx1 thread. On my gun, I had to retap that, as the screw only went in 1/2 of a turn. Accuracy improved GREATLY when i tightened it down. The trigger is HORRIBLE... 90 seconds of machine polishing, followed by rouge, not changing it, just making it FINISHED and polished, improved everything.

    What others should know:

The gun really likes the crossman round nose hollowpoints.. shot about 30 rounds into 5/8" at 27 yards ... two shooters, with the BAD trigger... FIX THE TRIGGER

    Things I liked:

The Power, the Looks, the Side Lever action. Seems very well made. It is a very handsome rifle especially with a scope.

    Things I would have changed:

The weight. This rifle is pretty heavy for an air gun. I put a D143 Night Vision scope on it which is a lot heavier than a regular scope. I'm using this rifle mainly as a rat gun and find it a little too heavy to stalk my prey. But for the price its very hard to complain. My rifle did arrive with the front fiber optic sight cracked. Since I will be using scopes I felt it wasn't necessary to return it for this problem alone. I'm going to see if pyramidair will replace just the front sight without me having to return the gun.

    What others should know:

I don't have any problems or complaints at all about the side lever cocking. It is very smooth and seems very sturdy. As others and myself have stated this is a heavy gun. I estimate mine to be around 12 lbs. with the N.V. scope. The power is awesome. After sighting in my scope the accuracy is very good. Another thing, this gun is Loud. Even though it is heavy and mine came with the broken sight I am rating this rifle a 5 out of 5. For the price, power and performance it will be very hard to beat the B30-1.

    Things I liked:

The thing I like about this gun is the fix barrel accuracy. I got a 3-9x40 scope on and im using Beemans .177 Silver Arrow pellets. I cant shot a 1'' to 1 1/2'' group at 25yards

    Things I would have changed:

The pull lever bar is not made of thick metal so it wants to bend.

    What others should know:

When you cock the gun remember to hold the release lever before pushing the cock back or else you'll bend the bar. Also you should use a heavy grade pellet with this gun. I tried shooting it with a 7.5 gr pellet and it was all over the place.

    Things I liked:

Beautiful woodwork and metal finish. Excellent stock ergonomics. Wonderful crisp two-stage trigger with extensive adjutability. Great adjustable open sights with clear fiberoptic sight picture. Incredibly accurate barrel and super stable shooting platform because of the weight. Outstanding price.

    Things I would have changed:

The Chinese still have their issues with consistency. I had to return two versions of the rifle before getting the one I wanted. The first two had misaligned open sights. The first had a very hard trigger which could not be adjusted. The second had a slight buzz on firing. But all were very accurate with the great wood and metal workmanship.

    What others should know:

The heaviness is a double-edged sword. It takes some adjustment, and even now, I can't fire more than 30 shots without getting shaky. But the weight is very helpful in holding steady. This may be my most accurate rifle. I received my final rifle with an extremely hard trigger which I was able to adjust to a very light pull, but I lost the two stages in the process. I was able to work it back to a crisp let off and a fairly light ~ 4 pound pull. My rifle now is so good that there is no need to tune. But if you want to CharlieDaTuna specializes in this model and does a great job for a reasonable price.

    Things I liked:

Beautifully crafted rifle, solid construction, accurate & extremely powerful, side lever cocking mechanism not difficult to cock(not sure what the other guy was talking about it is not that difficult to cock), beautiful wood stock, nice black matte finish, adjustable match trigger, great safety features, price, not very loud at all can shoot in residential areas

    Things I would have changed:

A slight more light weight version-this is a pellet rifle not a real firearm so not sure why BAM made it so heavy. Nothing else, rifle is perfect except for the weight which doesn't bother me but will handicap many other people.

    What others should know:

I have the .22 caliber version which I wish Pyramid Air had in stock so had to purchase elsewhere, rather have bought from Pyramid. You won't be disappointed in this finely made rifle it has the power to take down bigger game and the .177 caliber should pack a good heavy punch as well. This is an air rifle for big adults to be able to handle effectly, not for kids or smaller adults due to the sheer weight of it. It has a very powerful spring piston but believe me it does not have much of a kick nor is it that loud. I can hit anything with the open sights, in fact I removed the Leapers scope I had on it because I prefer the sights. You can go ahead and buy the RWS 52 for $400.00 which is what this rifle is copying but the BAM is actually better made quality. I couldn't recommend this great air rifle more.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

It is powerful and seems to be well made. It is very heavy which is good for stability, but makes it difficult to carry around. Cocking takes substantial effort, so a child could never operate it which could be a safety feature.

    Things I would have changed:

    1. The comb of the stock is too high to allow me to use the standard open sights on the gun. A scope is a must. 2. The powerful spring makes a violent spring ringing/vibration which detracts from its accuracy. I would make the gun a bit lighter and reduce its power some to make it less violent to shoot.

    What others should know:

I could only get groups of 2 to 2 1/2" at 25 yards shooting from a real bench rest and using a 4X scope. My single pump Daisy kid's target rifle shot groups half that size with no vibration.

    Things I liked:

The solid construction, the feel of the wood body and stock (some kind of matte finish), fixed barrel and side lever increase accuracy, removale front and rear sights. The gun looks like a serious sniper rifle. The thing I like the most is its amazing power and accuracy. I can hit a cent in ten meters, with better shooting skills I think you can do better. Mine is combined with Tasco 3-9x32 AO shock proof scope $44 including shipping. The bundle I have is the best bundle for the money in the market, I think. My gun shoots like a dream! I practice several shots everyday. A little bit heavy, though.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it a little bit lighter and move the center of mass a little towards the stock.

    What others should know:

The gun is heavy, the center of mass is a little bit in the front, make it a little bit hard to handle. Some say they can not remove the front sight, it's actually easy. Unscrew the bolt, the front sight somehow gets stuck. With a chopstick or screwdriver contacting the rear part of the front sight, hammer the stick towards the front of the barrel, the thing will slide off. Wrap the screwdriver with soft material, you dont want to scratch your baby. You need to know handle its weight and recoil. The recoil is not really strong.

Just Got It Day Before Yesterday and I Am Just As Happy AS I can Be. Great Looking Rifle.Side Lever, Fixed Barrel. Great Sights, Shoots Like A Dream Once You Clean It Up. Bore Breach And So On. Just Like Any New Rifle You Get.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing That I can Find For This Kind Of Money.

    What others should know:

Pellet Fussy, Put A Nice Scope On It And Try Alot Of Different Pellets Mine Crossman Domed.14.3 gr. !/2 To 3/4 Inch Groups At 20 Yards. And I'm 61 yr old. Could Do Better I'm Sure But It Was Cool And Wind Here. Great Value And Great Shooter. Great Dealing With The People At PA. Thanks For The Service.

    Things I liked:

Very well made. It looks like an RWS 48 with nicer stock and sights. I really like the fiber optic sights. much easier to use than standard iron sights. Accurate and hard hitting. A great buy. I have to keep reminding myself that it's not German. These Chinese airguns have REALLY come a long way. I remember, not too long ago, when all Chinese air rifles were low end, cheap junk. Not anymore. This rifle is nice.

    Things I would have changed:

    You're kidding, right?

    What others should know:

Picture really don't do this air rifle justice. It looks MUCH better in person. Mine arrived today, and when I opened the box, I was amazed. It even looks better than my B50, which looks great. It looks better than my buddy's RWS 48. If you want a powerful, accurate, well made springer that's not very hold sensitive and has potential beyond even how great it is out of the box, this is the rifle for you. You won't find a beter rifle for the money. I can't believe it's not more expensive. This thing will really reach out ant touch something. It launches those pellets with authority. If you want to hunt with a springer, look no further. This is the one you've been looking for. Mine will soon get a sling and a bipod. Watch out, targets, here I come!

Everything. Performance, weight, feel, balance...this is no toy. THIS is an air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Have severral options available, suchas a "site less" model for scope only shooters, and maybe a walnut stock option, other than that, nothing, no changes needed.

    What others should know:

Remove and clean both stock mounting screws, and re-install with blue locktite.

    Things I liked:

This gun is great! The nice wood finish and good weight makes this rifle look expensive! The trigger pull is very nice. Nice solid hold and devastating power! The .22 version i got nearly rips through everything I shoot! Haven't had time to see how accurate it is because i Just bought it but I'm pretty sure this things accurate. The Sidelever is also great because you can keep your sights on target with out moving the barrel!

    Things I would have changed:

It's a bit loud. I live in a suburban area so I don't like plinking in the backyard because it annoys neighbors. Other than that, it's awesome!

    What others should know:

If your looking to get a quality powerful hunting rifle for cheap price, give this a good look before choosing something else! I also recommend getting a bipod so you don't mess up the finish while setting it on something.

    Things I liked:

Mega .22 power for a cheap price! Double safety (one for the sidelever and the other for the trigger) is a great feature! Recoil and noise is less than expected for a rifle of this calibre.

    Things I would have changed:

Removable front and rear sights. Maybe put a clear coat of paint on the wooden stock (mine came with NO PAINTS at all...just sanded smooth!).

    What others should know:

This is a REALLY HEAVY rifle! Sad part is it's not balanced. I would say the weight distribution of the rifle is 65% front / 35% rear and that makes the rfile really muzzle heavy. My rifle's wooden stock came with no paints at all. I had to put several coats of stainer/sealer and took two days to dry. I have mounted a BSA 6-24x40mm AO scope on it and thus far both are working fine (I've owned the gun for about a month). I was able to unscrewed the rear sights but can't remove the front sight. To my surpeise my gun doesn't like any RWS (all my other rifles do) but shoots like a dream with the Crosman .22 Premier Domed. Great rifle to have with fixed barrel accuracy but prepare for some heavy lifting :)
